The Journey Begins: An Unova Region Adventure!

Hikari awoke from a strange dream. It was already leaving her mind as she tried to remember it. She looked at her Calender and suddenly remembered today was the day she would get her first Pokemon. Quickly she jumped out of bed an got dressed. Running down stairs she nearly bumped into her Mom, Oh sorry Mom I don't want to be late for getting my first Pokemon." she said rather quickly. Her mom chuckled in response, "I know dear just be careful okay? And also make sure you call me when you get to a town." "Right I will Mom I'll miss you." Hikari left her home and was off to the Pokemon Research lab.

Dusty watched the battle intently as Kaori continued to sketch Murumasa and the wild Lillipup. She had drawn all of her guidelines and was sketching the Lillipup, since she wanted to finish the wild pokemon first, just in case it ran away or something.

OoC: Okay I am going to be lazy and have him start heading to town, no battles, just simple walking

"Well you know what lets just start walking Mizukaren," Axineld said. Mizukaren just grabbed his leg, basically asking to be picked up.

The wild Lillipup was still hanging on to fight. "Ok go Pokeball!" Hikari said tossing the Pokeball at the Lillipup. The ball landed on the small Pokemon and was sent into the Pokeball. It wiggled a few times and made a ding sound. Hikari walked over to the pokeball, "Alright I caught a Lillipup!" Snivy! (Alright!)"

Kaori chuckled to herself as she finished the Lillipup sketch. She looked up from her sketchpad to grin and yell a short, "Congratulations!" though she soon returned to complete the Snivy she had started drawing.

"Hey is that the town?" Axineld said looking off in the distance. "Oshawott(How should I know?" Mizukaren asked. "Well come on lets go!" he said running off towards the town.

OoC: Two questions, 1: Are going to get the elemental monkey pokemon like in the game?
2: Do we have to follow where pokemon can be found from the game or can we just chose what we find but be reasonable?

Ooc: I'll let you chose what you want.

IC: Fast foward to the Town center

"Woah! Look at this place!" Hikari said in amazement as she looked around. "Come on out Lillipup!" she called tossing the red and white ball into the air releasing the small Pokemon. "Lilli! (Hello)" the Lillipup cried out. Hikari got to the Lillipup's eye-level, "How about "Rosco"?" she asked the male Lillipup.

Ooc: Still need to heal Pokemon.

"Sounds like a great name." smiled Kaori. On the walk back to her hometown, she had warmed up to Hikari a lot and was less shy around her than she had originally been back in the lab. She was still slightly unsure about Axineld though.
"Anyways, after you guys heal up, I could show you around Accumula Town... that is, if you'd like me to."

"Sure that would be great, I have never really left Nuvema town before. What do you think Mizukaren?" "Oshawottt!(Sounds like fun!)" Mizukaren said.

OoC: We have already been healed since we were here first

Ooc: Pokemon are already healed.

IC: "Sure. Sounds like fun." Hikari said to Kaori. "Snivy! (Alright!)" Muramasa said and Rosco barked in agreement. Hikari returned Rosco to his Pokeball and went outside with Kaori and Kiba. There was a small cluster of people in the center of town. "What's going on over there?" she asked, "Vy. (Strange.)" Muramasa said as he hopped in Hikari's shoulder.

Kaori followed Hikari outside but stopped and blinked for a second before shrugging. Dusty glanced up at her trainer as she looked from one of her new friends to the other. "I honestly have no idea..."

It didn't take a moment for Kaori to make her mind up. She dashed towards the group of gathered people, glancing back to shout; "Come on! Let's find out!"

OoC: Do we really have to stand through this?

IC: "I don't know," Axineld said following the other two, "Come on Mizukaren."

Hikari walked to the end of the crowd and saw a man with green hair(Gehtses) talking about Pokemon liboration. This brought an icy chill through out Hikari's body, Realease our Pokemon? But Pokemon are our friends. she thought as she looked at her Snivy. Muramasa looked at his trainer and saw the look on her face. Trying to keep her calm he rubbed his head on her cheek as if to say "I'm here for you no matter what." This helped Hikari but she couldn't beleave what the man was saying.

Kaori stared at the strange people in disbelief. Why should they release their pokemon? She could understand if they just wanted to free mistreated pokemon, but why everyone elses? She had a perfectly good relationship with Dusty, and she wasn't about to give it up.
Kaori pushed to the front of the crowd, and though she opened her mouth, she couldn't bring herself to say anything. She was just to shy and self-conscious to protest in front of this huge crowd of people.

"Pfft... This guy is crazy if he thinks people will actually listen to him." Axineld said, "I mean seriously, who would set their pokemon free becasue someone told them to."

Hikari watched as the man with ugly green hiar and his strangly dressed group of protecters or whatever they are walk away from the Town Squair. She herd some of the other people talking amungst themselves. "What should we do?" Are we really keeping our Pokemon from being happy?" they asked eachother. The next thing that happened really shook Hikari one of the people had released his Pokemon, "Go on you free." he said to his Pokemon(Herdier). The Pokemon looked at his trainer with sad eyes and turned to the forest with tears trailing from it's eyes. "How could he just do that?" Hikari asked as she noticed more and more trainers releasing thier Pokemon. Each time she saw the flash of Blue light it felt as if her heart was stopping from the heartach.

Kaori slowly turned around as she heard the tell tale noise of pokemon being released from their pokeballs. She stood there, dumbfounded at how people could just give up their friends like that. She knew some of these people, albeit only in passing, but the look in the Herdier's eyes as it ran away told her that the pokemon didn't want this. It had been happy before and this person's speech had ruined the beautiful relationship that the Herdier had once shared with its trainer.

The young trainer pushed her glasses up slightly before turning back towards the green haired man and the other people that surrounded him, who apparently called themselves 'Team Plasma'.

"Why are you so eager to ruin the bond a trainer shares with their pokemon?!" she yelled, surprising herself as the words just seemed to tumble from her mouth.

Hm, so Kaori is a yeller huh, Axineld thought. (( He hasnt spent much time with her so this is kinda like a first impression for him.)) "Seriously! Why would you do that!? Pokemon and their trainers share a special friendship with eachother!" Axineld shouted as well.

Hikari was unable to move it was like she was in a trance. "Why is everyone listening to that man? What will releasing their Pokemon accomplish? It will bring nothing but heartach to both people and Pokemon." she whispered. Muamasa also felt the same way even though he had only been with Hikari for a few hours he felt some sort of unbreakable bond with his trainer. He hopped off of her shoulder and faced the crowd, "Snivy!!! (I'm happy to be with you, Hikari!!!)" he shouted.

The Vibrava hovered near her trainer. She had been glaring at the green haired man and the unusually dressed people of team Plasma with her own, forest green eyes. She glanced back at her trainer with a hint of concern as she yelled at the strangers. Kaori wasn't one to shout, especially at people she didn't know... but then again, there wasn't much that truly annoyed her.

Axineld was sick of watching all of the people idiotically releasing their pokemon. If they just would turn around they would see that their pokemon were extremely sad that they were being released. "Forget this I am going back into the pokemon center," Axineld said, "At least there the pokemon are happy." He then turned around and started heading for the pokemon center.

"Your Pokemon, it spoke." a voice came from the departing crowd. Hikari slowly looked up and saw a young man wearing a black and white cap, and had light green hair. Muramasa sttod protectivly in front of his trainer. From his Pokeball Rosco came out and stood beside Muramasa and growled at the young man.

Kaori turned as she heard a voice behind her. She had never seen this boy before. From his appearance though, she judged that he must be a trainer like her, Hikari and Axineld. Plus, he was obviously not from around here, because her parents knew almost everyone in Accumula Town.
Dusty also turned around at the sound of the voice. She landed next to Kaori so as not to put strain on her wings when she didn't need to be flying right then. The vibrations she continued to make using her wings seemed to indicate a concern as to who this person was.

"Hm," Axineld said and turned around at the sound of someone's voice. "My Pokemon what?" he asked the guy with green hair. There was something strange about him, Axineld couldn't tell what, the guy just had a strange feeliong about him. Mizukaren had a similar feeling and hid behind Axineld's leg.

N took a few steps closer to Hikari just as Muramasa and Rosco let out a growl as if to say, "That's close enough." "I said your Pokemon spoke. I must hear it's voice again! Battle with me." he said wanting to hear the voice of the Pokemon.

Kaori blinked at the green-haired trainers sudden request. Surely if he wanted Hikari's pokemon to speak to him, then he'd just talk to them?
Hikari didn't seem to move or make to respond to the trainer's challenge. She didn't know how strong his pokemon would be. Without a second thought, she began to walk towards the green haired boy.
"Leave them alone. I'll battle you."

Dusty blinked, looking up at her trainer as she scuttled over to her. Had she really just challenged a stranger?
Kaori and Dusty had trained and had battles with their parents. But they had never once battled a trainer they didn't know. Not yet anyhow. It would no doubt become commonplace on their journey though.
