Legends of Kanto - A Kanto Region Adventure

Elysia had been up bright and early that morning and was well on her way to Pallet Town. She was an organized person(usually) and was about to begin her pokemon journey. Of course, she was as excited as anyone could be, though she didn't outright show it so as not to embarrass herself.
On her shoulder she carried a bag which contained almost everything she would need on her time on the road.
Elysia lived in Viridian City with her parents and though her mother still lived there, her father had taken off a few months back without telling anyone. To this day, her and her mother wondered where he had gone.

Despite the mystery behind it, Elysia never let it bother her. Instead she was now taking a leisurely stroll down Route 1, avoiding the patches of grass where wild pokemon could jump out from. Her unusual white hair was blowing in the soft breeze as she glanced up at the sky with her brown eyes.

Elysia watched as a few Pidgey flew past, a feather or two floating down to the ground. As she turned her attention back to her destination and entered the small town, Elysia couldn't help but wonder which pokemon she would pick.
There were three starters, Charmander, Squirtle and Bulbasaur. If she was honest, she didn't really take to Bulbasaur, maybe it was because she didn't like its evolutions very much.
Squirtle and Charmander, now they were both cute, but she wasn't sure which one would suit her most.

Putting her thoughts aside for now, she focused on getting to Professor Oak's lab. Shading her eyes with one hand, she realized that the lab was on top of a small hill and that she could see it from where she was stood. Grinning she made her way past multiple houses, her white scarf blowing in the wind.

Elysia looks like this:

Kari picked up Pikachu and put her on the ground, "Your right; it wouldn't be fair if we took them from their home. Good bye and thank you, Pikachu." Kari said waving good bye to the small yellow Pokemon. Haruka followed closely to her trainer. Pikachu watched as Kari began to leave.

"You know Kari. I get the feeling that Pikachu doesn't want to stay behind." commented Elysia as she started walking away. "And in any case... it doesn't live in this clearing like the bug types."

Evelyn looked up at her trainer. It seemed that Elysia was becoming better and better at almost sensing what both her friend and other pokemon were feeling. Smiling back at her Eevee, Elysia ruffled the fur on the Evolution Pokemon's head.

achu walked a little closer to the two girls, "Pika.(She's right.)" she said with sparks emetting from her cheeks. Kari giggled, "So you want to have a batle then?" Kari asked thinking of using Haruka. She couldn't risk Draco any further injeries.

Elysia chuckled to herself as she heard Kari's giggle. She then leaped up, grabbing hold of a low branch of a tree near the edge of the clearing. Pulling herself up, she found herself a nic space to sit on the branch.
"MIf you're going to battle here, make sure you don't hit any of those bug types."

Haruka hovered in the air silently flapping her wings ready for a battle. Pikachu lept into the air and used Thundershock. "Haruka dodge it!" Kari commanded. Haruka tilted her wings to the side and evaded the attack. "Now use Takle!" Kari added. Haruka takled into the airborn Pokemon.

As Elysia had held onto the branch with one arm, Evelyn had climbed up, situating herself on the edge of the branch. Luckily her smaller weight meant she could sit on the slightly thinner part of the tree. After her trainer used both arms to pull herself up and sit to watch, the Eevee also turned her attention to the battle as it began.

The Pikachu grunted as she fell to the ground but quickly adjusted herself and landed on her feet. Pikachu's quick on it's feet.Kari thought as the Picachu started to use Growl. "Haruka use Sand Attack!" Kari shouted as her Pidgey started flapping t's wing towards the forest floor causing a small bit of sand getting into the Pikachu's eyes.

Evelyn and Elysia continued to watch, both analyzing the situation as the battle drew on. It was true that Haruka had an immediate type advantage, but the Pidgey was fast. The question was, was she faster than the Pikachu?

Pikachu wipped it's eye trying to get the sand out. "Haruka use Takle again!" Kari said. Haruka let out a small cry of agknowlage and dove down towards the Electic Pokemon. Pikachu's ears twitch as she heared Haruka's cries, moving out of the way at the last minute haruka tried to pull up but crashed into the ground. Pikachu used Thundershock on haruka makeing it a direct hit. The Pidgey cried out in pain, "Haruka hang in there!" Kari shouted trying to get the Flying type some encouragement.

Elysia continued to watch with bated breath as the battle continued. She and Evelyn were both rooting for Kari and Haruka though.

Pidgey was struggleing with the electric attack but held her ground. "Haruka use takle again!" Kari shouted. Haruka opened her eye and tried to shake off the electic attackbut could not. She took to the sky and was released from the attack and was paralized. Using this to her advantage she swooped down and takled into the Pikachu even though she was paralized. The tiny bird was able to push the Pokemon back but flinch from t peralisis. Pikachu was getting tiered and the same with Haruka, I need to end this. Kari thought as she reached for a Pokeball.

Elysia could see that both pokemon were getting weaker and weaker. It was now or never for Kari. If she didn't throw the pokeball soon Haruka was sure to be knocked out. Her speed was already decreasing because of the paralysis.

Kari tossed the Pokeball as it tapped the Pikachu's head and wiggled a few times. Kari waited in suspence hoppeing that the small yellow Pokemon would stay in the Pokeball. Haruka landed onto the ground panting but ready if Pikachu popped out. After what seemed like a lifetime the Pokeball stopped with a ting, Kari looked at the Pokeball in shock and walked over to it. Picking it up she squeeled with joy, "Yes! Elysia, I caught Pikachu!"she shouted waving at her friend.

"Congratulations!!" shouted Elysia, one hand by the side of her mouth to make her voice go farther, the other in the air, waving to her friend.
Evelyn smiled from her position sat in the tree, happy for Kari.

Kari tossed the Pokeball in the air releasing the Pikachu. "Pikachu!(Allright I'm on a team!)" she shouted. Kari bent down to the Pikachu's eye level, "What do you think of the name "Senna"? she asked her new Pokemon. "Pika!(I love it!) she shouted with joy. Kari laughed and called Haruka and Senna back for some rest. "Ready to go yet Elysia?" Kari asked the girl.

"Sure!" grinned Elysia, scooping Evelyn into her arms and leaping down from the tree.
"We still have the rest of Viridian Forest to traverse."
The young trainer looked up at the sky.
"In fact by the looks of things, we might end up having to camp in the middle of the woods."

The little Caterpie from before watched on as the trainers left the tranquil clearing. The male from earlier had left to choose a tree to use for his cocoon as he waited through his time as a Metapod. Glancing around, she realized that most of the others had done the same, leaving her alone to make her own choices.
The young Worm Pokemon followed suit and slithered up into a tree. However, she didn't spin her silk around herself, she just curled up amongst it's branches.

Kari looked up and noticed the sun was already setting. "This'll be fun! I love camping." she said with a grin. She fallowed Elysia with her new Pikachu, Senna on her shoulder. Kari would have to find a way to heal all of her Pokemon and soon. Maybe after a good night's sleep and a nice meal then they should be fine. she thought.

Elysia walked side by side with Kari as they moved away from the clearing full of bug types. She was looking for a suitable place to put up tents... or if it was dry enough, just sleep under the stars. She also needed a clearing big enough for a small campfire, since they couldn't just sit there freezing cold throughout the night.

It didn't take long to find a decent enough clearing a suitable distance away from where the bug types lived. Elysia smiled and stood in the middle of it, glancing around as if she had just made it herself.
"This clearing should do nicely. Huh."

Evelyn hopped down from Elysia's arm and padded over to a tree trunk. Smiling, Elysia followed her before getting out her sleeping bag.
"It looks dry enough. I think I might just sleep outside tonight."
The sleeping bag was deep blue, turning paler as it went down. It also had a small, matching pillow. Elysia also got out the remainder of the sandwiches from earlier and placed them on the tree trunk.
The young trainer also removed two small bowls from her bag and filled them with pokemon food, placing them near her sleeping bag.

Elysia then tossed Castiel's pokeball into the air, the Pidgey promptly appearing next to her.
"Alright then you two. We can eat and then I want to find some firewood. It shouldn't be hard starting the fire since we have Draco, but we need kindling to keep it going through the night."

Kari let out Draco and Haruka, "You two stay here and rest, especially you Draco." she said to her Pokemon. "Char.(Ok.)" Draco said. Kari looked over to Elysia, "I'm goinbg to try to find some kindleing woith Senna ok. If i'm not back in thirty minutes has Casteil look for us." she said already taking off into the darkening forest.

"Okay." shrugged Elysia. She watched as Castiel and Evelyn started eating the food and ran her hand through her hair.
"Hmm..."

The young trainer remembered passing a small patch of dead brambles that could come in useful as kindling. "You two stay here with Haruka and Draco. I'm gonna go and see if I can find those dead plants."

With that, Elysia wandered off in the opposite direction to Kari.

It didn't take her long to find the dead wood and a few more sticks to accompany it. Smiling, Elysia turned to head back to their temporary campsite when she realized she now didn't know the way. All the trees looked the same in the dark.
Sighing, Elysia looked up. She could see the moon. It wasn't full, or close to it in fact, but it was pretty none-the-less.

Kari and senna both were heading back towards the camp site when Senna heard some rustleing in a near by tree. kari also heard the noise and went to instect it. It all happened so fast a boy that was in the tree wrapped his legs on the tree he started to hang upside down till he was face to face with Kari. "Hello." he said.

draco and Haruka heard their trainer scram fallowed by a loud slap. "Char?(what was that?)" Draco asked.

Elysia sighed and glanced around, trying to remember which direction she had come from. Frowning, she turned and saw the Caterpie from earlier. The one who had given her a Lum Berry.
It wriggled over to her, smiling up at the trainer before heading off into the forest. Having nothing better to go on, Elysia followed her.

It didn't take long for the Caterpie to lead Elysia back to the camp with the dead plants she was carrying. After dumping down the thin branches she bent down and smiled at the Caterpie.
"Thankyou!"

Castiel and Evelyn hopped over to her, glad to see that she was alright.
Just then a loud scream ripped through the air. Recognizing the voice as Kari's, Elysia immediately leaped to her feet. What on earth had just happened?

This is gonna be Squirtle's Trainer, Richard Brightwell:

Ic: "I am so sorry." Kari said to the boy. She took a quick glance at him to take in his features. he had dark hair and dark clothing very much like hers. What really got his attention was his red eyes.

He started to rub his red cheek from where Kari had hit him. "Ah, don't worry about it. I'd freak out too if someone had just pooped out from a tree. The name Kaname by the way." He said introducing himself. A small Bulbasure came out of the bushes to see what the rukes was about. "Bulbasure?(What's with all the rukes?)" he asked, Kaname looked down and noticed his Pokemon. "And this is my Bulbasure, Bruteroot."

"Jeez. You scream like a girl Kaname."
Another voice came from somewhere in the undergrowth before another male appeared from the shadows, holding a Squirtle. He also had black hair, less ragged looking than Kaname's. His eyes were also an unusual colour, purple in fact.
He seemed to freeze as he realized there actually was a girl there.
"Oh crap. Sorry. I didn't see you there."

Elysia scooped Evelyn into her arms. "Castiel, c'mon. We should probably find Kari. Draco? Haruka? I don't know if you're staying or coming with us...."
With that Elysia took off, heading towards where the scream came from. The Caterpie followed, albeit slowly.

"Oh hey there!" waved Richard as Elysia also appeared on the scene.
"Squirtle Squirtle!"
The Pokemon in Richard's arms also waved at the white-haired female.

Turning to Elysia and Kari in turn he introduced himself.
"I'm Richard by the way. Most people call me Rick. This is Jet."

Kaname looked at Elysia and suddenlycaught wiff of something. "Is something cooking?" he asked. "Bulba(it's you.)" Bruteroot said. Kaname looked behind him and saw the flame of a Charmander's tail near his behind. He jumpped into the air screamming. "Draco! No you're supposed to be resting." Kari said picking up her Pokemon. Kaname was running around saying, "Hot,hot, hot!!"
