Legends of Kanto - A Kanto Region Adventure

Elysia had been up bright and early that morning and was well on her way to Pallet Town. She was an organized person(usually) and was about to begin her pokemon journey. Of course, she was as excited as anyone could be, though she didn't outright show it so as not to embarrass herself.
On her shoulder she carried a bag which contained almost everything she would need on her time on the road.
Elysia lived in Viridian City with her parents and though her mother still lived there, her father had taken off a few months back without telling anyone. To this day, her and her mother wondered where he had gone.

Despite the mystery behind it, Elysia never let it bother her. Instead she was now taking a leisurely stroll down Route 1, avoiding the patches of grass where wild pokemon could jump out from. Her unusual white hair was blowing in the soft breeze as she glanced up at the sky with her brown eyes.

Elysia watched as a few Pidgey flew past, a feather or two floating down to the ground. As she turned her attention back to her destination and entered the small town, Elysia couldn't help but wonder which pokemon she would pick.
There were three starters, Charmander, Squirtle and Bulbasaur. If she was honest, she didn't really take to Bulbasaur, maybe it was because she didn't like its evolutions very much.
Squirtle and Charmander, now they were both cute, but she wasn't sure which one would suit her most.

Putting her thoughts aside for now, she focused on getting to Professor Oak's lab. Shading her eyes with one hand, she realized that the lab was on top of a small hill and that she could see it from where she was stood. Grinning she made her way past multiple houses, her white scarf blowing in the wind.

Elysia looks like this:

Kari finnaly found what she was looking for: a red ribbon. "Let's see how this looks on you Sena." she said tieing it to the Pikachu's ear. Senna wa eating the Poffin while the ribbon was being tied. When she was done Kari looked at her new Pokemon, "It looks good on you Senna." she said taking out a small mirror to show Senna her reflecton. "Pika!(I love it!)" she shouted with joy.

Kari got up with Senna on her shoulder, "So which way do we go?" she asked.

Elysia smiled as Kari tied the ribbon around Senna's ear. "Nice touch." she complimented as she closed her bag up.

Rick answered Kari's question without any trouble.
"That way." he pointed to where the trees got slightly thicker, "Oh, don't worry. The tree's start to thin out as we reach the edge of the forest. We'll end up coming out on the other side of Route 2."

After telling the group where they were going, Rick straightened the collar of his overcoat and started moving with Runa leading the way just slightly ahead of him.

Castiel, still carrying the pale blue Pokeblock, took his time as he fluttered through the air. Sometimes he would drop the Pokeblock, swiftly diving down to re-catch it before it hit the ground. Elysia wasn't sure whether it was accidental or on purpose.

Kaname started running forward giving Rick a light punch to the shoulder. Kari quickly followed the boy going in the directin that Rick had said. I wonder how strong those two are. Kaname thought while running.

"Ow." complained Rick, rather over exaggerating the punch. He ran a hand through his hair as Kaname and Kari ran past him. He wasn't too bothered about how quickly they got out of the trees, if anything he kind of liked the peaceful atmosphere that areas like Viridian Forest had.

Elysia caught up with Richard but didn't run past him, instead she decided to walk next to him.
"That Vulpix of yours is cute." she smiled, glancing at Runa who was walking just slightly in front of them.

"Runa? Yeah... she's pretty shy though. She's had a hard life."
Rick unwittingly echoed his words from earlier when he had told Draco why Runa wasn't so easy to talk to. The trainer's purple eyes looked fondly at the Vulpix. To see her now compared to what she had been like when he first found her...

"How exactly?" asked Elysia. "Well... I don't mean to pry... I'm just curious."
Elysia's own, pale blue eyes watched Runa as she wandered on ahead.

"When I first found her, she was beaten up pretty badly. I never found out exactly what did it. It could have been a swarm of Beedrill... and angry Ursaring.. even an abusive trainer. Whatever it was though, it's hurt her enough that she hardly trusts anyone."

After the explanation Elysia went silent. It was a wonder how the Vulpix could look so cheerful and happy despite not being able to trust most people and pokemon.

Kaname and Kari were quite a ways away. "Maybe we should wait for Rick and Elysia to catch up." she suggested. Being alone with this new person made her think of her childhood, Kaname too was thinking of his childhood. "Ok." he said.

Rick glanced up at the sky, seeing that Castiel had finally decided to eat the Pokeblock. The Pidgey had thrown it into the air and caught it in his beak so that he could eat it mid-flight. Elysia chuckled at her pokemon. He really did enjoy it up there.

"So what's your story?" asked Rick, turning back to the white-haired girl next to him.

Elysia smiled and began recounting her journey up to date. As they finally caught up with Kari and Kaname, both were laughing at one of Elysia's experiences before she became a trainer.

Kari and Kaname turned to see Elysia and Rick laughing about something, "Having a good time, love birds?" Kaname joked. Kari stiffled a giggle it was funny, she did wonder what the two were laughing at.

Elysia frowned, "Love birds? Kari should have seen herself this morning." she replied as the memory returned and she stifled another giggle.

Rick shrugged.
"Elysia was just telling me about when she first rode on her dad's Doduo's back. Apparently it was total chaos," he chuckled.

Richard then glanced around looking for his Vulpix.
"Where's Runa?"
Rick's purple eyes were all of a sudden filled with panic as he called out his friend's name. The Vulpix hardly ever left his side because of her fear of people and pokemon that she didn't know.

Elysia glanced up at the sky, "Castiel? Can you see Runa anywhere?" she yelled.
The Pidgey shook his head.
"Okay..." she sighed, wondering where the Vulpix could have gotten too.

Kari was looking around for the fire type and couldn't see her. "Maybe we should split up and look for her." Kaname suggested. Senna automaticly jumpped down from Kari's shoulder and looked at her trainer, "Pika pikachu pika.(I look around here incase she comes back.)" she said trying to get her friend to understand. "Are you trying to say that you'll stay here?" Kari asked. the Pikachu nodded her head yes. "OK just send out a thunder Shock attack towards the sky to signal us." Kari added before taking off in search for the Vulpix. Kaname also took off in the opposite direction.

Runa had obliviously wandered off of their intended route whilst Elysia had been telling Rick about when she first rode on Doduo's back. Whilst they were all looking for her, she was wandering in the undergrowth, seemingly happy since there wasn't anyone else around for her to be scared of.

That was... until she spotted something yellow sticking out from behind a bush.
The Vulpix panicked and hid behind a large tree root that happened to be nearby. She poked her head out just as the yellow pokemon raised it's head, three berries dangled off of a small branch that he held in his mouth.

Curious as to why a Vulpix was in the area, he slowly and cautiously moved closer.

Senna ran up onto a tree branch trying to find the Fire Fox. She couldn't see Runa from where she was at the moment. She then heard a faint rustle from the ground and went to investigate.

Both Runa and the male Pikachu pricked their ears as they heard a rustling amongst the trees, however, Runa then decided to use the chance to try and run away. She swiftly disappeared into the undergrowth again, leaving the male Pikachu behind with the berries in his mouth.

The Pikachu tilted his head slightly to the side before slowly making his way after her.

Meanwhile, Rick and Elysia were both searching. Elysia in one part of the forest, with Castiel in the air keeping an eye out. Rick in another.

"Runa!" he called, trying to attract the Vulpix's attention. What he didn't expect was to almost be taken out by the Vulpix in question almost running into his legs.
Rick sighed in relief but then stopped as he heard a rustling in the bushes. The Pikachu holding the berries appeared from them and slowly edged his way towards the trainer.

Senna saw a flash of red and yellow and tried to put two and two together. Runa must be being chased by a Pikachu. She ran after the Pikachu wanting to protect her new friend. By the time she got there Runa had bumpped into her trainer with the Pikachu not far behind her. Senna noted that the Pikachu was a male. She glared at the male Pikachu emiting a few sparks.

Rick bent down to stroke Runa's head, happy that she was back here where he was able to look after her. He watched the male Pikachu with curious purple eyes. It continued to slowly move closer but Runa didn't seem as scared of it now that she was with Richard.

Rick scanned the Pikachu, one question on his mind. Pikachu were nimble and speedy creatures. If anything, this one should have been faster than Runa, though she could be rather fast when she wanted to be. He then found what he was looking for.

The Pikachu, though it was hardly noticeable, was putting less weight on his right hind paw.

Senna took this opertunity to make her pressence known, "Pikachu pika!?(Why are you chaseing my friend?!)" she shouted emeting a few more sparks from her cheeks. She failed to notice that the male Pikachu was already hurt.

Haruka was coing back from looking for Runa. "Haruka any luck?!" Kari asked, the Pidgey shook her head saddly. With a small sigh kari raised herhand so the bird Pokemon could get some rest. "I hope Senna's having better luck."

Rick immediately moved to protect the injured Pikachu as he recognized Senna's sparks as rather angry ones.
"Senna it's alright. He's hurt."

It would stand to reason the connection that he would have made. Vulpix didn't live in these woods and one of Runa's young age probably wouldn't have wandered far from her home on her own, hence, trainer's pokemon. And where there were humans, there was a chance that they could help make his foot better.

Rick then turned to the male Pikachu who looked apprehensive at first despite his deductions. Wild pokemon were always taught to be cautious around humans. Richard gently moved his hand forward until the Pikachu let him stroke his head.
"There... see? I won't hurt you."

He then gently moved to pick up the Pikachu. It let him though the look in his eyes showed he was still cautious of Rick.

"Alright then we'd better find the others and get out of this forest so we can bring this Pikachu to a Pokemon center. I don't know how to treat a broken leg."

With that Rick got up and began to slowly make his way towards the edge of the forest. If anything, it would be smart to meet up there.


Elysia wasn't far away. All of a sudden Castiel had called down to her and started flying off, motioning for her trainer to follow.

Senna calmed down a little when she herd that the male Pikachu was hurt. She walked slowly to Runa, "Pika?(You ok?)" she asked the Vulpix. She hoped that she and her trainer understood that she was only trying to protect her friend. Senna looked at the other Pikachu and bowed in appoligy, "Pikachu.(I am truely sorry.)" she said.

"Pidhey!(I found them!)" Haruka called to her trainer circleing above her. "Ok lead the way Haruka!" kari hsouted and followed as her Pidgey took off in where she had found the Vulpix.

The Vulpix nodded, deciding to put aside her usual un-trusting ways in concern for the Pikachu. She herself had experienced probably more worse injures, but injuries all the same.
"V-vul...(I-it's fine...)"

Runa then padded after her trainer as Rick began leading them towards the edge of the trees.

Elysia was already well on her way towards Richard, with Castiel leading the way.

They both soon appeared on the edge of the forest, with Rick attempting to find a position where he could carry the Pikachu and not hurt it's foot more.
Runa was looking up at the Pikachu with concern.

Senna's ear's twitched as she looked towards the sky and saw Haruka circleing in the air "Pikachu!(haruka down here!)" she cried out. Haruka flew down towards the small Pokemon and landed beside her. "Senna, Haruka!" Kari called out from a few feet away. She came out from a bush and saw Rick holing a Pikachu. "What happened?" she gasped in consern for the injered Pokemon.

*Meanwhile in another part of the forest*

Kaname was literaly running for his life while he had Bruteroot in his arms with a swarm of beedrill not to far behind him. "Somebody help me!!" he shouted.

Kari, Elysia and Rick were now all in the same place. All they needed now was Kaname.
Elysia froze as she heard a yell not too far away. It sounded like Kaname...

Rick sighed, "Kaname's in trouble again... No doubt there's some pokemon on his tail..."
The young trainer was torn between helping his friend and getting this injured Pikachu out of the forest and to a pokemon center where his leg could be treated.
After a quick few seconds he made his decision. The forest was full of bug types mostly, Eyal should be enough to help Kaname wherever he was. And if Kari or Elysia went too...

Rick fished the Farfetch'd's Pokeball out of his pocket. it grew in size before he let the pokemon out.
"Alright Eyal. I need you to find and help Kaname. I can't risk injuring this Pikachu any more than he already is."

Eyal nodded, "Farfetch'd!(Right!)" The bird pokemon grinned before tossing the Leek into his mouth and taking off.

Rick then turned to the girls. "If you want to go and help Kaname, I suggest you follow him." he smiled, "Either that or you can tag along with me. I'm going ahead."
Runa smiled up at her trainer and tried to give some friendly comfort to the Pikachu.
"V-ulpix...Vul v-vulpix.(Y-you'll be fine. D-don't worry.)"

Elysia looked to Kari. She was unsure of whether to go with Rick or seek out Kaname... Time was running short to choose though as Eyal fluttered off into the trees.

Kari saw the torn look on Rick's face and looked down at Senna, "Senna i want you to go and help Eyal find Kaname."Kari asked her newest Pokemon. Senna looked at her trainer and at the Farfech'd and took off running, Pika pi!(Eyal wait for me!)" she cried out. the young trainer watched as her Pikachu took of trying to catch up with the flying type, she turned to Rick, "Come on let's help this Pikachu." she said with determination.

Eyal waited for Senna to catch up before leading the way towards Kaname. In a split second decision, Elysia decided that Rick and Kari would be fine together. She dashed off after the Farfetch'd and the Pikachu, Castiel directing her from the air. She moved carefully though, not knowing exactly what danger Kaname was actually in.

Rick grinned, Runa also giving her own shy smile as he turned to leave.
"Alright then. Lets go."
The young trainer then lead the way towards the nearest signs of civilization, Pewter City.

Kari swiftly returned Haruka to her Pokeball and followed Rick. "Don't worry Pikachu we'll help you get better soon." she said trying to comfert the injered Pokemon.

Kaname was still being chased by the Beedril, Bruteroot started to shake as well. This isn't good Bruteroot's poisoned, Kaze, and Straylos' have fanted and Maria only know Harden. There's no way she can take on all of these Beedrill by herself. he thought in a panic.

Senna was slowly but surely catching up with the Farfet'd, and that she had to hurry.

All of a sudden Eyal burst onto the scene, leek in his beak and ready for action. The Farfetch'd immediately took in the scene. The Beedrill, Kaname, Bruteroot. It didn't take long for him to choose a course of action.

He realized that the Bulbasaur was poisoned and wouldn't be able to battle for much longer. Eyal swiftly shot towards the bug type Pokemon an Aerial Ace move aiming to drive them away.

Elysia arrived on the scene shortly after along with Castiel, who then also began to help drive off the Beedrill with his Peck move.

Senna saw the swarm of Beedrill and used thundershock to hlp to drive them away, "Pika-chu!(Get away- from my friends!)" she shouted sending bolts of electricity in every direction hoping to scare the bug Pokemon. Some of the Beedril flew away from the attacks of the Pokemon but there was still a few left.

Kaname sent out Maria in atempt to try to help them. "Maria use Harden!" he shouted at the caccoon Pokemon. Maria's body began to glow as she used Harden just before a Beedrill used it's Poison Sting on the group.
