Fox and Zash shot from the past THE SECOND (not a direct sequal to the first)

Zash stood on the roof of his school the classes had ended not long ago but he didn't feel like leaving he yawned and looked out at his town. He rubbed at his right cheek where a bruise was, he'd gotten in a fight early that day. He watched as the kids from his school flooded out and raced out to there homes. Zash looked at his hands at flames blossomed and danced around them he'd kept his fire magic hidden from them after all he was a pyromancer, the one and only pyromancer it would look strange if he just started spawning fire balls.

"Wh-what's wrong?" Fox asked, still trying to absorb the sheer amazingness of her surroundings. She couldn't detect one flaw with this lovingly crafted place, no matter HOW hard she tried. "I'm sorry, but I just can't find anything wrong..... If the art museam found this they'd probably dig it right out to the ground and turn it into a wing of its own." she gawked. She hadn't even blinked since she stepped into the room.

Zash nodded. " Nothings wrong with the art work and building it's probably made just how Phlem had wanted it." Zash confirmed. " The thing that's wrong is that is is Shelrek's temple, so why in blue blazing is this showing Icarus?" Zash asked pointing to the winged statue and the sun. It was clear to him it depicted the tale of Icarus the young son of the inventor had left the Earth on wings of wax and feathers out to reach sun but when he got to close to the sun too close to god his wings melted and he had fell back to Earth." I guess Icarus was a Pryomancer but still he was before Shelrek's time they wouldn't have had any interaction." Zash looked totally puzzled by this. He wasn't expecting of to be too much help in his little history riddle. He started to walk around looking for something to point them in the right way." Fox keep looking around for something that could help." He instructed.

"Right; you got it!" Fox grinned, and she began to scour the old temple for anything that might be useful to the little escapade/answering the riddle. Without touching anything, she got a good close look at everything in the room; paying attention to ever little last detail. Unfortunately, it yielded no "solid" results. Fox crossed her arms and pouted silently a little; she had really been hoping to have been a little more useful this time around.

Zash's results were not much better he had attempted to read some of the things on the walls but he hadn't had any luck. He'd actually found an ancient languege he himself was not fluent in. Zash looked back at Icarus. " You know that's not actually right he wasn't crying at that moment." Zash pointed out. " He was still happy even though he could never su-" Zash stopped he looked at Fox." I'm so stupid!" He shouted face palming several times over.

Fox returned Zash's glance with a somewhat apologetically look; sad that she had not been able to help him solve the mystery of the room. She listened to him begin to talk about Icarus, and when he had that "aha" moment she began to feel excited again, as if they had gotten back on track. "What did you find out?!" she exclaimed, dashing over to him.

" Icarus was before Sherleck's time meaning he would have know the tail, meaning he could have wanted a very major adjustment." Zash reasoned and looked to the platform the winged pyromancer stood on just as he had thought. " Fox use your alchemy to make this platform into a complete set of wings for Icarus." Zash told her.

"Okay..." Fox muttered as she observed the platform in preparation to transmute it. It was a good, solid chunk of hard wax, not too hard to transmute at all. She clapped her hands together and then touched the platform, causing it to glow and then go up in sparks with a loud "BAZASSH". The glowing material began to shift and then relocate to Icarus's back; taking the shape of a pair of wings.

As the statue became completed the whole chamber filled with the noise of tons of metal shifting and moving after years of rust had layered on them. Chains lowered from the ceiling one curled around the statues neck like a noose and started to drag the statue into the air and towards the sun. Zash tensed and stepped closer to fox, it's been over thousands of years since those were first used they might- Zash's thought was cut off as the statue collided into the sun wall and it started to crumble away rumbling falling towards the duo. " WATCH OUT!" Zash yelled he dashed even closer to Fox and surrounded them in a tornado of flames a rush of air shot around them as he did. Zash was smart he knew how fire would effect the air down here changing the pressure zones the rumble would fall around them but not on them. As the sounds of rolls falling stopped Zash let the flames clam and sputter out.
He looked thousands of years of history ruined in a few moments.

Fox was slightly disturbed by the chain-noose wrapped itself around Icarus's neck and dragged him up into the air. She wasn't quite that worried about the danger of the crumbling structures, just...... unnerved a bit as she watched the appearent hanging of a figure of Greek mythology. As Icarus crashed into the sun and started falling, however, things started making sense to Fox. Before she could relay her thoughts to Zash, however, things started crashing down around her and without her alchemy Fox wasn't much more than a sitting duck. Thankfully, she was spared by Zash's quick thinking and brilliant Pyromancy. "That.... Was..... Incredible!!!" Fox exclaimed, thoroughly impressed by Zash's display of amazing fire magic. "Poor Icarus. He fell in the legend and he fell here, too..." she muttered, but she was still extremely distracted by all the questions she had for Zash bout his magic now.

Zash fixed the lack there of a tie on his shirt. It was a gesture he'd started doing last year whenever he preformed an impressive feat he'd fix his tie that he wasn't wearing like it was just that easy. He looked at Fox a second nodding solemnly. " The machine probably wasn't meant to make him crash into the sun it was probably made just so that the statue touched it." Zash reassure her that it had not been Sherleck's intention. Zash stepped onto the pile of rubble and looked into the massive mess of marble and notice something sparkled. He blinked and rubbed his eyes rushing to it. " Fox come look at this!" He shouted as he raced to it, finding a very simple ring lying on the floor with nothing more then a light blue stone the likes of Zash had never seen before embedded in the silver band.

"OOOOO SHINY OBJECT!" Fox cried in delight. It was a well-known fact that Fox tended to be very ADHD, so shiny objects always caught her attention. She bounded over to Zash's side to investigate the object. The ring was indeed very strange, as Fox could feel a certain..... something about it. It was an indescribable feeling, but it was telling her that there was something important about it.

" Nice bling huh?" Zash asked slipping it onto his right hand ring finger. Zash closed his eyes and took a deep breath in. He stood straighter and breathing out he opened his eyes they were tinted the same blue as the ring. He ran a hand threw his hair it seemed to have suddenly lightened in color. " Real nice bling!" He complimented the ring again.

"Woah dude, what's with the sudden change of look?" Fox laughed, although she felt a tiny bit of worry for her friend deep inside her chest. She wondered if maybe this was the item Zash had been searching for, and if it was then what would it do to Zash's already-impressive pyromancy skills? She looked on with interest to see what would happen next.

" What change?" Zash asked unaware of the physical and perhaps mental change the ring may be having on him this instant. The ring glinted, strange with no irregular light to shine on it, it should have been impossible for it to glint. " Aw we just wrecked like half a legacies work." Zash frowned but the way he said it sounded like a child who just broke a not so great toy and wanted to buy one better as a replacement a completely different mind set then before when these carvings and paintings had been so precious.

"Uh, yeah....." Fox responded, now even more concerned for her friend than she had been before. She looked at him for a while; suspicions rising in her head as she did. "Are you sure you're okay? You don't really..... look quite like your 'normal' self." she commented, trying to figure out what was going on with her friend.

" Course I'm fine!" He laughed like Fox had just said something funny. " How could I look different I mean come on same cloths I always wear, same fire." He make a tiny flame on his little finger and it was indeed the same. " Same face, come on there's no difference." Zash assured her but his tone was so over cheerful it didn't fit him.

"Zash...." Fox began, although her look had transformed into a hard glare. "....or whoever you are. Those aren't your normal clothes." she pointed out bluntly, her suspicions rising to even greater heights. "What's going on with you? And I want the truth; not some bullcrap lie to make me think that everything is hunky-dory. I won't buy it."

A smile crossed Zash's face at this." No no I suppose they aren't. " he agreed his voice wasn't even his own anymore now it was much more flamboyant and Zash would never use a tone like that. " Zash was looking for a ring correct?" He asked fox holding out his right hand to show off the light blue ring. Referring to himself in the third person.

"WHO ARE YOU?!? AND WHERE IS ZASH?!?" Fox cried in a rage. She began to feel as though this was her fault; maybe if she had attempted to stop him from putting on the ring....

"ZASH, WAKE UP! DON'T LET HIM DO THIS TO YOU!!!" she practically screamed. She didn't totally know what was going on, but she didn't want whatever this was to hurt Zash in any way.

" God calm down Fox your blubbering like a baby." Zash spoke in his true voice. " yes please stop I don't like it when ladies get mad." Said the voice that for some reason came packaged with the ring.

Fox's head snapped back and her expression automatically change from worried out of her mind to a slightly offended "Well, then." one. She sighed and shook her head and put her face in her palm, trying to recollect her thoughts. "Okay, if you're going to have, like, dual personalities now..... Ugh." she muttered, putting her other hand on her hip. "Just what is going on......"

" Well it's like you said." He started trading off voices with each word so it sounded like some sing along song between Zash and Mr. Ring voice. " duel personalities." Zash's face was strange now the right half was still going on with what Mr.Ring voice wanted the eye was still blue and the hair was still a lighter color then the normal jet black but the left said had was under Zash's influcence the eye was the normal deep chocolate brown of Zash's face. " Well not exactly split cause I'm a part of both." Zash corrected.

Fox just stated at Zash with a certain, "Okay, time to quit screwing with my head," glare. "So, is it always going to be like this from now on? Cause if it is..... Well there are going to be rules." she observed.

"oh are there?" Zash's right side cocked an eyebrow. Mr.Ring's voice was playful Zash's half of his face turned into a scowl towards Mr. Ring voice. " You know it's very creepy hearing myself say that in that tone out of my own mouth." Zash said Zash laughed this time both halves of the face laughed and his brown eye shaded over to blue. " Okay enough of the side show." Mr. Ring said now in total control. " No miss we won't be sharing this body forever." He assured her.

"Okay, rule member one: TAKE TURNS OR THERE'S GOING TO BE SOME PROBLEMS HERE." Fox cautioned somewhat aggrivatedly. She really wasnt mad at Zash, she was just tired of all the personality switching. "And okay, that's cool; but what the heck is even going on, anyway? Who are you really, Zash número dos?" she questioned. "You must have some form of a name."
