The Dead Hospital

Jill had managed to rest in the humvee, having fallen asleep. After some dreams and nightmares about what was going on, and what had happened before, she was woken up by a couple of speed bumps. Or bodies, who knows? she thought, and looked out the window. The hospitalwas getting closer, it was only a matter of time untill they got there.

Yuki had her eyes glued to the road, specks of blood covered her, whether it was her's, Dio's, or the zombies' she wasn't sure, she just did her best to ignore it. The image of that annoying, arrogant, psychotic man's death was still burned into her mind, but that's not what bothered her. Even though she didn't particularly like Dio, she actually hated him, she didn't feel anything form his death, no sadness, anger, happiness, nothing, her mind was as indifferent to it as if she had stepped on a leaf. She shook her head slightly to try and erase the image, disturbed by her own indifference, Have I really become like this?, she asked herself, she wondered how she would feel after this, the disease, the chaos, the zombies, all of it, would she return to herself before all of it, or will she stay this...person she couldn't recognize as herself?

(Dudee.. when the heck did Dio die? I'll just go along with it for now... but I still wanna know how and when.)

Shadowflash ruffled her feathers as they drove. Like Yuki, she hadn't particularly liked Dio, mostly because he was always adamant that she would be better cooked than alive, maybe you could call that hate? But unlike Yuki, she was actually slightly saddened by his death.
Despite being only a bird, she felt emotions, maybe it was a side effect of all this disease stuff, maybe animals in the area were becoming more aware of those emotions... were becoming more intelligent to deal with the situation.
Who knows. All she could say was that she somehow understood the humans despite the fact that she hadn't spent any of her life up until this point with them.
