Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 - Journey RP (closed)

Cassidy woke, her blue eyes blinking open. She turned her head and glanced out of her bedroom window, seeing that the sun was already high in the sky and she had slept through her alarm. Groaning, she turned over and attempted to fall asleep again before realizing that, knowing how long it would usually take her to pack, she needed to get up now otherwise she would be the last one to be given a starter Pokemon.

Reluctantly, Cassy sat up. She ran a hand through her golden brown hair, brushing her fringe away before it flicked back into place on her forehead. Sighing to herself about the few hours of sleep she had managed to get the night before, she stood up and began sifting through her chest of drawers for what clothes she would wear.

Finally settling on a pale yellow top with a pale green shirt over it and dark blue-almost black jeans, she grabbed the clothes and headed into the bathroom to shower.

After she washed and dried herself off, she got changed, quickly glancing at herself in the bathroom mirror before exiting the room. She headed back into her bedroom, grabbing her hairbrush and brushing her wet and tangled mess of hair with one hand as she sifted through a variety of scarves that were hung in her wardrobe, with the other.
Cassidy selected one that matched the green shirt she was wearing and wrapped it around her neck. She then selected a similar blue one to go with the clothes that she would take with her as she traveled around Unova.

There were already a small pile of clothes next to an opened bag, along with a spare pair of trainers. The second outfit was much the same as the one she had on, only in hues of blues. The jeans were paler, the top was white and the shirt and scarf were a matching, slightly darker shade.

With her hair now dry and brushed, Cass set about packing everything up. There was still plenty of space in the bag, even after she had finished packing non-essentials for her free time, which was great since she would no doubt have to find space somewhere to put Pokeballs and other objects in.

Cassidy, once she had pulled her socks and shoes on, headed out of the door with a quick goodbye and hug to her mother. Then, she was off up the street, heading to where her friend Yukari lived.

Yukari woke up early due to her Rufflet alarm going off. Shifting under her covers her hand reached the clock and stopped the beeping. With a small sigh she got out of bed and went to take a shower. After a few minutes she got out her hair still damp she got a T-shirt with a pink pokeball on it, a pair of black leggings, and a yellow skirt.

Finally dressed she went to dry and to try to style her hair. She knew what today was, and she was very excited she was just not fully awake. Today she was going to get her first Pokemon, with her hair now dry and styled the way she wanted it she raced down stairs and told her Mom good bye. On the way out she grabbed her viser and put it on her head and started to run to meet her friend, Casidy. I can't wait to start on our journy. she thought.

In the distance a young boy with a red sweatshirt watched as Yukari and Casidy left thier house's.

"Morning Candytuft!" grinned Cassidy, her pale green scarf blowing out behind her as he headed towards Yukari. Cass had an odd habit of nicknaming people with often weird and random names. It seemed that 'Candytuft' was the common name for a flower named Iberis. The plant now grew in Cassy's front garden, it's simple blossoms giving a spot of pale colour to the otherwise brown and green garden. It also paid tribute to an event earlier on in their lives. Yukari had once fallen into a patch of the delicate flowers and had gotten pollen from them all in her hair along with the odd leaf or petal that snapped off of its stem.
Cassidy couldn't help but chuckle at the thought of that day. They had both been rather young back then.

Turning her attention back to the important day that today was, Cassidy grinned.
"I can't wait to start our journey!" she grinned, running over the three choices of Pokemon they had to pick their first partner from.

Oshawott was a water type. Swift, especially when swimming, Cute and with that razor edged shell, a pretty good fighter.

Snivy, the grass type was nimble and sneaky. Snivy were also supposed to be extremely intelligent Pokemon.

And last of all, there was Tepig, the fire type. Cassidy had to admit she always ended up frowning when he considered choosing Tepig. She didn't know what put her off. Tepig was cute too, and fire types were always pretty powerful too...
Shrugging as she once again attempted to decide which starter she wanted, Cass turned to Yukari.
"So where are we headed?"

Yukari laughed when her chaldhoo friend used her nickname, "Hey Cassidy." she replied as she started to hum a random song. She was now out of her tiered state and was starting to get cheerfull. "Not fully sure. But I wounder who is supposed to give us our Pokemon." she said putting her pointer finger on her chin trying to think.

Just then a dark blue hiared boy took the hat off of her head, "Yo. What's up Yu-yu, Cas?" he asked the two girls. "Don't call mke Yu-yu, Hiro!" Yukari fumed trying to get her hat back. Hiro chuckled, "Alright but you have to try to take it from me first." he said teasing the shorter girl and took off running.

Yukari growled in frustration and took off after 14 yearold boy, "You won't get away that easely!" she stouted taking off after him, leaving behind a cloud of dust.

"That's a good point..." commented Cassy. Professor Juniper would most likely be busy... so unfortunately it was unlikely that they would get to meet her. However, Juniper now had that assistant didn't she?

All of a sudden she was brought back to the real world by Hiro's appearance.
"Hey Hiro!" she grinned, not minding being called Cas as she herself called people many nicknames. Then Hiro took off with Yukari's hat, Yukari herself trailing along behind behind him leaving a rather thick cloud of dust despite the city's concrete pathways.

"Oi! Wait up Songbird!" she yelled to Yukari, before running after her friends.

Yukari started to laugh dispite being in a rage a few moments ago, here she was about to get her first Pokemon with her best friends. Hiro chuckled when he heard the girl giggleing and gave her the hat back when she was next to him. "Right then let's go receive our First Pokemon." he said heading towards a staircase that would lead them to a fantastic view of the reagon. "Right, hurry up Slowpoke!" Yukari shouted to her friend behind her;puttung her hat back on.

Cassidy soon caught up to the two. Being a rather speedy runner did help sometimes. Hearing Hiro's words, her mind went back to her decision. She had narrowed it down to Snivy and Oshawott...

Deciding to pick later, she shot up the stairs, overtaking Hiro and Yukari. When Cassidy reached the top, she still wasn't out of breath. She owed it to her love of being active, running a climbing things, despite living in a city like they did.

"Now who's the Slowpoke?" she yelled back down the staircase.

Grinning to herself, she turned to the lookout point. She had been up here many times before. They all had, but this time there was someone new stood looking over the edge. Cassy wandered over to her. It wouldn't be long before Hiro and Yukari caught up.

"Hi!" she smiled.

Bianca turned around. She was holding a case with three pokeballs in it and was wearing a puffy orange coat over the top of a white shirt.
"Hello!" she replied, her eyes glancing behind Cassidy, looking for the two other people who were supposed to get one of the Pokemon she was carrying.

Cassidy made it to the top of the staircase befor Hiro and Yukari; both chuckled and ran faster to make it to the top. When they got there there was a young woman with blond hair with a green hat, and an orange coat. "You're.." Hiro said but stopped not wanting to be rude. Yukari looked at her friends, "Who is that?" she asked Hiro.

"I'm Bianca," she interjected, "Professor Juniper's assistant."
She smiled cheerfully, "Pleased to meet you!"

"And you!" grinned Cassidy. She couldn't wait to see the Pokemon.

Bianca took the cylindrical capsule from her arm and holding it out to all three of them. "One of these three Pokemon will be your partner."
She smiled again as the capsule opened to reveal three Pokeballs.

Cassy wasn't one to wait for very long, so with a nod of approval from Bianca, she picked a random Pokeball out of the three. She opened the ball, letting one of the starters out into the open air.

A Snivy appeared before her, and it was then that Cass realized which Pokemon she wanted.

"She's an unusual one, that Snivy." smiled Bianca, "Female too. Girls don't tend to be very common... which is a bit unfortunate."

Cassidy grinned. "If it's alright then.. could I have her?"

Bianca nodded, "Yes, of course. But are you sure you don;'t want to see the other two first?"

Cass nodded and Bianca smiled in return, "Alright then Cassidy."
The older woman then proceeded offer the capsule to the other two trainers-to-be.

Hiro nodded to Yukari allowing her to chosse before him, Yukari grined and picked the third Pokeball. Sending the Pokemon out it revailed to be an Oshawatt, he looked at her tilting his head, "Osha?" it chirpped. "He's adorable!!" Yukari squealed in joy picking up the little otter Pokemon. Hiro chuckled, "Guess I get the one in the middle." he said picking up the Pokeball. It clicked open and revealed the Pokemon inside, "Tepig!" it cried sending out a small flame from it's nose.

Bianca grinned at the three and gave them each a Pokedex and five Pokeballs each.
"Congratulations! You three are now Pokemon trainers!"

Cassidy's face broke out into a large grin once again as she accepted the gifts from Bianca and put them into her bag -minus the Pokedex-
She held the dex up to her new Snivy, deciding to learn a little about her before she decided what to nickname her.
"Snivy, the Grass Snake Pokémon. Cool, calm, and collected, Snivy uses photosynthesis to collect energy with the leaf on its tail. When they are not feeling well, their tails droop."

"Hmm..."
Cassidy thought for a second before coming up with a name.
"Rōreru or Reru for short. It means Laurel." she smiled

The Snivy smiled back in response, "Snivy~"
She seemed pleased with the name.

Yukari took the Pokeballs and put then in her bag like Cassidy did and held her Pokedex up to Oshawott. She knew that they were proud Pokemon and wanted to learn more about them.

It fights using the scalchop on its stomach. In response to an attack, it retaliates immediately by slashing. the Pokedex said. Oshawott used it's scalchop like a sword based of the discription given by the Pokedex.

"I've got it! Daikenki. Daiken for short; what do you think?" Yukari asked her new Pokemon. The small blue Pokemon placed his paw on his chin and thought it over, "Oshawott!" he said nodding yes.

Hiro held up his Pokedex to Tepig. He figered he should get some more information on his new Pokemon.

It blows fire through its nose. When it catches a cold, the fire becomes pitch-black smoke instead.


Hiro thought for a moment and soon came up with a nickname for the fire type, "How about Hinouma? Hino for short." he said. Tepig jumpped onto Hiro's head, "Tepig!" he liked it.

Bianca closed the capsule back up and put it underneath her arm before clapping her hands together a single time and grinning again.
"Well it seems like you all get along wonderfully!"

Cassidy grinned. "Alright Reru! How about we battle one of you guys?"
Rōreru seemed like she was itching to battle, eager to prove how skilled she could be. Snivy were swift and nimble, that was for sure, but they could also think for themselves without much effort. If trainer properly, Rōreru would become a tricky character to beat in a battle.

"Why not you and Hiro have a battle?" Yukari suggested, Daikenki's eyes grew big and his whole body turned white. "Don't worry we'll have a turn too." she laughed, reasuring her Pokemon. Daiken sighed in releaf.

Hiro looked at Yukari, "You sure?" he asked, Yukari nodded yes, "That ok with you Cassidy?" he asked the other girl.

Rōreru looked up at her trainer, her eyes showing a fiery passion that seemed like it could be burning stronger than a Tepig's natural inner flame. The Snivy didn't seem to mind the fact that she had a type disadvantage against Hinouma.

"Seems fine to me!" grinned Cassidy, "Rōreru seems happy enough about it too!"

This will be interesting. A battle between Snivy a grass type and Tepig a fire type. However Roreru looks like she's about to be on fire the way her eyes are shining, Hinouma could be in for a tough battle. Yukari thought as Daiken hopped in her arms he was already cheering his friends on.

Hiro went to the other side of the platform Hinou was litteraly fired up as he blew embers from his snout. "Lady's first" he said to Cassidy. Let's see how Roreru will battle. Hiro thought.

Rōreru just made a small nod, acknowledging Hiro's apparently 'nice' gesture.
Cassidy grinned, "Alright then. Reru, use Leer."

It wasn't an impressive start to the battle, but it was a smart move on Cassy's part. She didn't exactly know what Tepig's current moveset was, so she was playing it safe.

Rōreru focused the fire in her eyes on leering at Hinou. The Snivy's passion for battle would scare anyone, but joined with a leer move, it was enough to partially lower the Tepig's defense.

Hinou Flinch slighty at the Snivy's cold stare, "tepig." he whimpered. "Hinou don't give in! Use Tackle attack!" Hiro shouted giving his Pokemon some encouragement. The Tepig shook his head and blew out a few embers and charged forward towards the grass type at a high speed.

"Osha?(Why use tackle?)" Daiken asked tilting his head. "Maybe he wants to finish this as quickly as possible." Yukari said to herself, But that's not a good idea Hiro. You just gave Rōreru a chance to counter attack. What are you planing? she thought.

"Rōreru, dodge and return the move!" yelled Cassidy.
The speedy grass type nodded, swiftly hopping out of Hinou's path. She then got behind the Tepig before she charged towards him, launching her own Tackle attack.

Rōreru was smart, that was for sure. Despite the simple commands she had been given, she was making the most of her abilities. Cassidy knew she needed to learn how to think on the same wavelength as her Pokemon. With that and Reru's natural speed and intelligence, they would become next to unstoppable in battle. All it would take is practice.

Hinuo grined as he was about to hit the grass type then let out a gasp in shock as she evaded the attack. Hiro flinched as the Snivy used Tackle on his Pokemon, Hinou use Tail Whip!" he shouted. Hinou shook himself and stared to wag his tail quickly, "Aw that's so cute!" Yukari said as she watched the Tepig. "Osha...wott.(Roreru's...pretty.)" Daiken whispered as he watched the grass type.

Rōreru blinked at the Tail Whip and moved backwards a few steps, unsure of what Hinou was going to do next. The move seemed rather pointless in itself and so, the desired effect of the move, Reru's guard was let down slightly, lowering her defense.

"Leer!" countered Cassidy.

From where she was stood, the Snivy once again shot Hinouma a frightening glare. Her narrowed red eyes making it all the more scary.

Hinou went tense under the glare of the Snivy again, causing him to lose couage in his power, "Hinou use Tackle again." Hiro shouted. The Tepig shook himself and charged at Roreru.

This is going to get boring real quick Yukari thought.

Cassidy seemed to be thinking the same as Yukari, for she pulled out her Pokedex again, hoping to make things interesting. Grinning she turned back to Rōreru.
"Magical Leaf!"

It seemed the Snivy had an Egg Move, one that would no doubt prove rather ineffective to Hinouma.. but would spice up the battle a fair bit.

Rōreru braced herself for Hinou's Tackle, using her small forearms to propel herself over the top of the Tepig in a small flip before she used Magical Leaf from behind.

Hinou managed to tackle the grass type but she had stopped him, he looked up as she did a flip above him, "Tepig?" he asked, "Magical Leaf!" Cassidy shouted. Hiro's eyes widened he did not know that Snivy could learn that move. Yukari and Denken watched in awe as the snivy created leaves out of the air and raced towards the Tepig.

Hinou tried to dodge it only to have the leaves to follow him. Hiro wasn't sure of what he should do, Hinou was starting to get hit by the attack left and right unable to get away. "Hiro call out an attack!" Yukari shouted in frustration at Hiro. He wasn't usually like this, Hiro took out his Pokedex to look up his Pokemon's move set. "Uh, let's see Tackle, tail Whip,..." CRASH! Hiro looked up and saw that his Pokemon had fainted. Yukari sighed,"Well that was interesting. Let's see what moves you know, Daiken." she said taking out her Pokedex. Tackle, Tail Whip.. Yukari's eyes widened in shock as she stared at the Pokedex.

Rōreru watched as the Tepig was defeated. Even she hadn't expected her grass type move to do that much damage. Cassidy wondered how she would fare against Daikenki since she would have a type advantage then. Would the battle be over even quicker?

The Snivy walked back over to her trainer who picked her up. "You did awesome then Reru!" she grinned.
"Sni-Snivy!" she grinned, smiling without hesitation for the first time since Cassidy had chosen her. It seemed that the two were going to be great partners after all.
