Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 - Journey RP (closed)

Cassidy woke, her blue eyes blinking open. She turned her head and glanced out of her bedroom window, seeing that the sun was already high in the sky and she had slept through her alarm. Groaning, she turned over and attempted to fall asleep again before realizing that, knowing how long it would usually take her to pack, she needed to get up now otherwise she would be the last one to be given a starter Pokemon.

Reluctantly, Cassy sat up. She ran a hand through her golden brown hair, brushing her fringe away before it flicked back into place on her forehead. Sighing to herself about the few hours of sleep she had managed to get the night before, she stood up and began sifting through her chest of drawers for what clothes she would wear.

Finally settling on a pale yellow top with a pale green shirt over it and dark blue-almost black jeans, she grabbed the clothes and headed into the bathroom to shower.

After she washed and dried herself off, she got changed, quickly glancing at herself in the bathroom mirror before exiting the room. She headed back into her bedroom, grabbing her hairbrush and brushing her wet and tangled mess of hair with one hand as she sifted through a variety of scarves that were hung in her wardrobe, with the other.
Cassidy selected one that matched the green shirt she was wearing and wrapped it around her neck. She then selected a similar blue one to go with the clothes that she would take with her as she traveled around Unova.

There were already a small pile of clothes next to an opened bag, along with a spare pair of trainers. The second outfit was much the same as the one she had on, only in hues of blues. The jeans were paler, the top was white and the shirt and scarf were a matching, slightly darker shade.

With her hair now dry and brushed, Cass set about packing everything up. There was still plenty of space in the bag, even after she had finished packing non-essentials for her free time, which was great since she would no doubt have to find space somewhere to put Pokeballs and other objects in.

Cassidy, once she had pulled her socks and shoes on, headed out of the door with a quick goodbye and hug to her mother. Then, she was off up the street, heading to where her friend Yukari lived.

Yukari walked over to hiro and Cassidy, "You guys did great. Better luck next time Hiro."she said patting Hiro on the back. Hiro picked up his Pokemon, "Good match Cas."he said extending his hand.

Cassidy nodded, adjusting the way she held Rōreru so that she could shake Hiro's hand.
"I bet when Hinouma grows, Reru will have a hard time beating him," she smiled, knowing that even if this would prove to be true, Rōreru would still try her hardest. Cassy and Hiro were going to be rivals in battle, even if they were truly friends at heart.

Daiken hopped out of Yukari's arms and walked over to Cassidy, looking up at Reru. "Osha oshawott.(That was a great battle your gonna be tough rival)" he said with a smile. Yukari giggled, "Don't worry Daiken, we'll get stronger together." she said.

Rōreru smiled down at the Oshawott, "Snivy! Vy!(Thankyou! I think you'll put up a tough fight too.)"
The Snivy giggled cheerfully, showing a more feminine side to her personality.
Cassidy watched the Oshawott with interest. Both Hinouma and Daikenki would be tough to beat once they got stronger... but of course, she and Rōreru would be getting stronger too.

"So where do we go now?" Yukari asked. Daiken was back in her arms and Hiro was trying to think, "We could head on off to Route 5." he sujjested.

"Sounds good." replied Cassidy, Reru also smiling at the idea. Neither of them could wait to get on the road and Cassy wouldn't argue to catching a few new teammates on the way. She wondered what Pokemon there would be...

Yukari walked towards the edge of town and saw the trees and a small vally. Wounder what kind of Pokemon live here? she thought. "Well I gues we'll go our Seprate way girls." Hiro said looning at them with a cocky smirk.

"I guess so." smiled Cassidy.
"We'll see you around then Hiro," she replied, Rōreru waving at him and Hinouma with her small green arms.
"Sni Snivy!(See you around!)"

Hiro walked in the other directio and waved bye to the girls. Yukari could hardy contain her excitement. "Mmmmm yes!!! We're finally Pokemon trainers Cassady. Now off to route 19!" she said walking on as Daiken coppied her.

Cassy grinned and followed Yukari towards Route 19.
"It's a shame Hiro didn't want to come along with us instead of going his own way," she sighed.

"Well it might be a good thing. Now we don't have to rush just so he can do what he wants." Yukari said. "Osha.(I can't wait to battle Hinouma.) Daiken said with burning deturnimation.

Cassidy nodded, "I guess so."

Once they reached the route, Cassidy put Rōreru down so that she could explore of her own accord. It was a fairly bland route with a little long grass for wild pokemon to hide in. Cas wondered what sort of Pokemon would live so close to their home town.

Yukari saw small groups of Purrloin and Patrat in the distance. Awww. The Purrloin are cute. she thought. She saw one of the Purrloin on it's hind legs and made a fighting pose. It was bigger than the other Purrloin so Yukari thought that it must be the leader. "Purrloin are cool Pokemon." she comented on the tricky Pokemon.

Cassidy grinned, "Purrloin may be awesome 'Kari, but everyone wants a Purrloin."
She turned to the groups of Patrat that she could see, sneaking towards one with Rōreru in tow.

"Target one and use Magical Leaf!"

The Snivy did as she was asked and leaped into action, the leaves glowing multicolours as they sped towards a straggler from the Patrat group. They collided head on and the Patrat immediately turned to see it's opponent.

After a quick glance, it seemed to attempt to run away rather than fight... a rather Timid personality by the looks of it, Cas noted. After a quick Tackle attack from Rōreru, the Patrat paused to attempt a Leer attack back. It ended up looking more cute than menacing, but still partially helped as it reduced the Snivy's defence.

Despite this... with another few well-aimed blows, the Snivy soon finished off the fight and Cassidy tossed a Pokeball at the Patrat, wanting it to become the first Pokemon on her team.

At first glance this entire battle might make Cassidy seem like a rather headstrong person... but she really wasn't. She was instead determined to be different... unique. She knew that most people would much prefer a Purrloin on their team than a Patrat, and so aimed for the apparent "lower-class" Pokemon.

Cassidy however, had gained another goal from this particular battle. If this catch were successful, she would dedicate herself to helping the Timid young Pokemon to come out of its metaphorical shell. She would help it develop it's confidence so that it could become an efficient member of her team.

Yukrai looked at the Pokemon true that people always wanted Purrloin, and Patrat seemed like a poor choise to others. She liked Patrat but didn't want to feel like she was copying Cassidy. I think I'll wai till we get to the next town. she thought. She saw that her friend had cought her first Pokemon without much trouble. "Congradulations, Cas. You too, Rōreru. I think I'll wait to catch my first Pokemon in the mean time I can train with Daiken." she said. The Oshawott looked at his trainer with a fire burning in his eyes. He was willing to train as hard as he could.

Cassidy grinned and leaped into the air as the Pokeball clicked signalling that she had been successful. She dashed over to pick it up before slowly walking back over to Yukari.
"Are you sure? I think Purrloin would be a great addition to your team," she smiled, looking at all the Pokemon around them, "Or a Patrat!"

She turned her attention back to the Patrat she had caught, opening the Pokeball and letting it back out into the fresh air. It stood for a second, looking around as if it was scared. Cassidy held her Pokedex out to it to see it's stats.

"A female!" she grinned.
"I think I'll name you Celandine."

Cassy thought that a flower name would be fitting for a Timid Pokemon such as her new friend. The Patrat looked up at her before smiling weakly. She seemed to like the name.

"Aw she's so cute." Yukari complamened. Daiken leapt to the ground and offered his paw to Celadine. "Oshawott.(welcome to the family.)" he said with a smile. Yukari giggled Oshawott may be proud but he had a kind heart.

Celandine smiled again at Daiken but seemed a bit scared around him because she wasn't used to these new faces.
Rōreru wandered over, a softer look in her eyes rather than the firey one she would have in battle. Celandine shied away from the Snivy, hiding behind Cassy's leg as if she was scared that she was going to be attacked again.

Cassidy bent down and gently stroked the Patrat's head.
"It's okay. They won't hurt you. We're your friends now."

Celandine looked up at Cass before looking back at the Oshawott and Snivy before her.
"P-patrat...(P-pleased to meet you...)"

Rōreru smiled warmly, holding out her paw.
"Snivy. Sni-snivy.(I'm Rōreru. I hope we can be friends.)"

Daiken climbed onto Yukari's shoulder as she walked along. "So where'sthe next town Cassidy?" she asked. She was eager to get to training Daiken and to get a new Pokemon for her team. Although she was starting to feel the heat from the sun and looked around for some shade. Daiken made a small attempt to cool himself off by waving his Scalchop infront of his face.

"I would think we would just follow the route," replied Cassidy, smiling as her two Pokemon started to bond. Being both female it seemed they had more to relate to and Celandine's smiles, though still weak, were sincere.
Cas bent down to them and held out her arms.
"Climb up!" she grinned.

Rōreru swiftly hopped up and settled on Cassidy's head. The Snivy watched as the Patrat stood there, unsure of what to do.

"Snivy, snivy. Sni-vy.(It's alright, you can climb up. Cassidy will look after you."

With another worried look around, Celandine gently climbed up Cass' arm. The young trainer held her in her arms, deciding that it would probably be much more comfortable for her, especially since she was so timid.

"So. Sangi Town?" she smiled before turning and heading towards the end of the Route.

Yukari looked back at her friend while walking. "Do you remember the Champion Alder was defeated and the new champion got defeated just a few minutes after?" she asked thinking of what had happened two years ago. The detales were sketchy but there was a feirce battle between two dragon Pokemon.

"I remember hearing something about it," admitted Cassidy, "But I never really took much notice at the time.... refresh my memory?"
She Celandine's head with a free hand as they walked towards Sangi Town

Yukari tilted her head trying to think. "Um I think there was a Black dragon or something like that. Or was it a White dragon?" she said outloud trying to think.

"Wait... you mean Reshiram and Zekrom right?" she asked, the names of the famous legendary dragon Pokemon suddenly coming to mind. Celandine looked up at Cassidy as if she also knew the name from somewhere... either that or she was just curious. Rōreru didn't seem to bothered by the mention, though she never really seemed to bothered by anything.

The young girl snapped her finger with realization. "That's it!" she said turning around. "Osha? Watt?(Zekrom? Reshiram?)" Daiken asked.
