Chasing Berries

Prima scampered after several rolling objects. They had fallen out of her pouch and she was working to catch them before they got too bruised or dirty. She gritted her teeth in frustration as she caught one under her paw and shoved it into her pouch.

"These darn berries! I shouldn't have bought this many!" She cried out in annoyance as the rest rolled away. She loved the sweet berries, but she had been a bit too greedy in buying several at once when she didn't really need them.

"A small gang of Pokemon attacked me and a Lopunny I was takling to. And it didn't end that well the Lopunny is ok but there was alot of damage to the area." Kageyoshi explained.

"But you were.. Protecting yourself." Her voice cracked slightly as she mentioned protection. Her mind flashed back to her father getting attacked by wild Beedrill. "They don't want you around because of that?"

"They just dont' trunst me quite yet. Trust takes time to heal. You'll understand when your older." Kageyoshi said as he continued to walk.

She rolled her eyes at the mention of being older. "I'm not exactly a baby you know, you don't look that old yourself." She pointed out. She idly glanced away at her outburst, feeling a little embarrassed. "I mean, you know, I can understand now if you help me!"

Kageyoshi sighed, "It's kind of hard to explain." he said looking away thinking about Glacia.

"Explain anyways! Come on Kaze! I can't learn anything if someone doesn't teach me eventually you know!" She said with a sudden determined look.

"First Aria and now Prima. What is it with me wanting to keep something to myself but end up explaining it?" Kageyoshi muttered to himself.

"What was that?" She bounced forward to stand by his side. "I can't hear you if you mumble.." She nudged him lightly. "Kaze, if you share something, I'll share something too okay!"

Kageyoshi sighed again, "I was thinking about when I save this Vulpix and Purloin." he thought quickly.

"Oh yeah?" Prima's ears perked up as she looked at him, waiting for him to explain his story. She wasn't sure what this had to do with anything, but she found herself curious about the Leafeon. "What did you do Kaze?" A Vulpix and a Purrloin huh..? Interesting.

"I think they were being chased by an Ursaring. I just happened to by walking along the same path as them the only thing I was thinking was that the Ursaring was in the way of the place where I wanted to go. So I used Razer Leaf on it." he explained.

"Razor Leaf..." She thought for a moment, as if trying to remember the move. "So you attacked it? But didn't you see why it was chasing them first? Or why it was so mad?" She questioned quickly. For some reason she wanted to hear both sides of the story when it came to things like that.

"I was not sure why it was chasing them nor did I stop to ask what had happened. All I knew was that it was in my way." Kageyoshi said in a cold tone.

"So you weren't helping them?" She seemed surprised at how cold his tone had gotten. Kaze seemed to show less and less emotion. "Why do you look like that Kaze?" She noticed the look on his face. Normally she was used to seeing Pokemon around looking happy and upbeat, but Kaze was a whole other story and it had her curious as anything.

"Why do I look like what?" the Leafeon asked. His thought were still on Glacia.

"Like that." She pointed to his face. "You don't look too happy Kaze." She said as if it was an obvious as anything. "You look like you're thinking about something."

"I'm just thinking of an old friend." was all that Kageyoshi said.

"Who, who?" She asked staring at him. "They must be pretty important for you to space out that much." She pointed out.

Kageyoshi was struggling to keep calm, "Just leave it alone ok?" he asked Prima in a strained tone. The memory brought nothing but pain and heartach to the Leafeon.

Her ears perked up. She remained silent at his plea and turned away as if bothered by his hiding something. She decided to walk ahead and kept moving, stopping to rub her face as if it was itchy. She was just embarrassed though and didn't want him to see her narrowed eyes and somewhat confused facial expression.

Kageyoshi sighed in defeat he was already this deep so why not tell the Purloin what happened, "Her name was Glacia."

"Glacia?" She turned around, blinking in surprise. "She was a friend? Where is she?" She was curious at why Kaze was suddenly opening up to her. At the same time she was a little flattered and smiled just slightly at her victory in getting the serious Leafeon to open up somewhat. Even if it was a tiny bit.

Kageyoshi lowered his head darkening his eyes, "She's gone." was all he could say.

"Gone..? What do you mean... Oh... Oh... I'm sorry." She'd never truly lost someone close to her, and didn't understand what a loss like that would feel like. She reached out with a paw as if to comfort him. "I didn't know.. I-I.."

Kageyoshi moved away from the Pokemon out stretched paw, "It's nothing. Besides it happened a long time ago." he said trying to hold back the tears.
