Traveling through the Menos Forest

Deep within the picht black forest filled with nothing but Hollow and Menos a lone Arrancar stood in a small clearing. Ren stood with her eyes closed and was in a still form with her elbows at her sides and her hands in fists outward.Ren opened her eyes and leat into the air and sent out several Aura Shards to the ground in a single line. When she landed she slid he left foot outward and made the Aura Shards go out like a wave of water. Breathing heavily she felt as though someone or something was watching her. "You want to come out on your own or do I have to make you?" she huffed.

Shizu didn't even bother to look at the lackeys as she summoned a spiral of black feathers around her. She didn't feel like fighting fair right now. All she wanted to do was get back to her room and relax.
The feathers all turned, a small cluster heading for each of Bear's lackeys as Shizu stared at the magpie feather in her hand.

The lackies were easly sent flying while Dago watched in awe. wish I could be as strong as Ren and Shizu. he thought as he looked down. "I think we should get out of here while we still can, Shizu." he said looking at the young Arrancar.

"I wasn't planning to hover in the corridor in the first place," she replied, her tone emotionless.
Shizu then slowly walked off down the hallway, finally able to head to her room for some relaxation time. She seemed almost oblivious to the small piles of defeated but live arrancars that were now scattered across that part of the hall.
In truth she just didn't care for the fact that they were there.

Dago looked at Shizu for a moment and started to think, Why did Shizu save him? What was he but a lowly Adjuchas to her? There were other questions but these two kept coming up to him. He stayed quiet for a while unsure of how to ask without sounding rude.

The young Arrancar reached her room and set the book she had borrowed from the library, down on her bed. She picked up Dago, removing him from her shoulder and gently putting him down next to the book.
Shizu then went about, organizing her desk. She grabbed a glass vase, which was a lot smaller than most vases, and put all the feathers from her desk into the vase. When she had finished, they looked almost like a flower arrangement of their own, with the magpie feather right at the front.
Shizu then went on to take a broken music stand from one corner of her room and worked on repairing the bent metal.

Dago felt himself being lifted and noticed that shizu was putting him on her dresser. He took the time to look around and saw that she had put a feather into a vase,That's an interesting hobby he thought. He followed her movements to a music stand and made a small suggestion, "Ren--" he stopped himself. Ren was back in her room probubly sleeping or just laying there. "Shironeko." he whispered saddly.

"I'll check on Ren later," replied Shizu as she used the combined strength of her feathers to gently push the black metal back into its proper place.
"Only time can mend a broken heart," she commented, her empty tones seemed to match the emptiness Ren was most likely feeling right now.

She picked up the book again and flicked through it, finding a picture of a music stand. Using it as a reference, she soon had the stand back in almost perfect health.
Standing back to admire her handiwork, she smiled slightly before placing the book on the stand.

Dago layed down on the dresser with his head on his paws. He quickly closed his eyes in frustration, "Ren was counting on me to protect them and I failed. I failed them." he said placing his paws on his head as if he was tring to block out the memory. I don' blame Ren for being upset about Shironeko. I don't blame her even if she hates me for this. he thought.

"You didn't fail anyone," she replied softly, reaching for a black instrument case that was tucked near where the music stand had come from. Kneeling next to it, she unzipped it and brought out a white violin with a matching bow.
Shizu smiled slightly to herself at the thought of the trip to the world of the living in which she had obtained the violin. She always seemed to be procuring random items from some place or another.

*Meanwhile with Ren*

Ren was still laying in her bed thinking about what had happened,"What am I doing?" she asked herself as she got out from the covers. "Dago's gonnathink that I'll hate him. Maybe some music would help." she said going over to her Dresser. On her dresser were some scattered drawings and art supplies off to the side of the dresser was a large black case. Ren picked it up and placed the case gently on the bed and opened it. "It's been a while since I've played this." she said taking out an old looking Guitar.

After tightening the bow and applying rosin, Shizu held the violin, placing it on her left collar bone and resting the left side of her jaw on the chin rest. She angled the instrument to the left of her straight-forward facing position. She stood with her feet shoulder width-apart and raised the bow to the strings.
Using her left hand, she tried to remember some of the notes, testing their sounds and the violin's tuning at the same time.

Deciding that it didn't sound right, she took the violin and began to tune the strings, plucking each one before tightening or loosening the string accordingly.

Ren took the shoulder strap and connected it to the guitar and placed the handle in her right hand. She played a few notes to a song and decided that it was out of tune. Reajusting it and testing it out once again it sounded right, placing it on the bed with care Ren went to her closet. After moving some things around she ound what she was looking for a music stand and a guitar book. She opened it to the page that contained the notes trying to remember how to play. She knew what song she wanted to play and how it was supposed to sound she just needed a small reminder.

*With Dago*

\Dago stayed silent not wanting to brake the arrancar's consentration.

Finally happy with how the violin sounded, Shizu re-held it in the right position, raising the bow to the strings once again. She started playing the few notes she remembered from memory before the music just seemed to flow. Her bow movements were fluid and consistent as the few notes from before gradually turned into an emotional melody. Shizu couldn't help but close her eyes and smile at the music as she played the violin part of Poeme by Secret Garden.

Shizu didn't care how loudly she played, for music was what made her feel able to express herself. It made her feel truly free.

Dago stayed where he was listening to shizu as she played her song. It was beautiful and enchanting. Dago closed his eyes and listened to the song.

Ren sat against the wall on her bed and adgusted the strings once again. She remembered the notes finnaly, there was a song stuck in her head that she couldn't get out. She first heard the song in the World of the Living at a music festival she had heard the origenal then they play the Acoustic version of the song. It broke her heart just like it is now. She started playing, closed her eyes and let the tears fall.

The young arrancar felt her own tears brimming near the edge of her closed eyelids. The one way anyone could get her to show true emotions; Music. If there was one thing she treasured more than any possession, it was music. For in the music, lay her most treasured memories. The ones she remembered feeling happy in. The only ones where they were proud.

Ren place the guitar on the bed brought her knees close to her and let the lears fall. Music was the only escape she had from reality. It made her feel free from everything else and nothing else mattered. The emotion from the song made her feel better sort of, she wipped the tears away and put the guitar back in it's case. She knew that he wouldn't want her to be sad and she could hear his voice saying "You can't protect everyone. Bad things happen look at the things that you have now you have two really good friends that care about you." he would say. Ren chuckled and got off the bed and went to find Shizu and Dago.

Dago opened his eyes, "That was beautaful, Shizu." he whispered not wanting to ruen the moment. He stretched out his back and hopped off the dresser.

Shizu re-opened her bright blue eyes and let the instrument dangle in her hand, by her side. The bow was the same in the opposite hand. She heard Dago's whispered comment but chose not to respond. She stood there for a moment before she raised the instrument again and began playing a second piece, similar to the first as it was by the same artist from the world of the living.

Ren was walking through the cordoor to look for shizu when she felt a hand on her head. "Where do you think you're going kid?" asked one of the lackies from before. Ren turned her head and gave him a death glare, "I'm in a bad mood so let go." she ordered in a low evil tone. The lacky let go of her head, "Uh, yes ma'am. I thought you were someone else" he said in a scared tone. Ren was about to walk on when she felt someone kick her in the tush and she went straight into the wall. "That was for before you snot-nosed kid!" Bear shouted, "Um boss that was someone else." the lacky said. A hand came out from the hole and a noticeable pair of blue eye glowed from the dust.

Shizu froze awkwardly on one of the notes as she heard a large crash and lightly felt the vibrations from it. She stood there for a few moments, not happy that something had interrupted her music.
Leaving the white violin on her bed as she didn't want to waste time putting it away, she swiftly left the room, seemingly forgetting about Dago.
It didn't take her long to reappear on the scene where she had beaten Bear's lackeys earlier. She was obviously not pleased that they were causing trouble again.

"Wait for me!" Dago said chasing after Shizu.

Ren stepped out of the hole in the wall(lol that is also a game show) and growled softly, she didn't even seem to bother worrying about the mess. She took a deep breath and tried to walk away. "Hey get back here Shorty!" Bear shouted at Ren. "Just ignor him." Ren said to herself. Bear fired a balla at Ren whitch she moved her head to the side as it destroied another wall.

"What do you lot think you're doing?" she asked, her empty tones didn't seem to reflect the partial anger that she actually felt.
Shizu already had black feathers swirling around her, ready in preparation to attack the lackeys again. They most likely wouldn't get out alive if they annoyed her anymore than they already had done.

Re used Sonido and kicked Bear in the gut and sent him flying into his lackies. "You mean other then annoying me?" Ren said in a blunt tone the anger was visable on her face. "We tried to stop our boss honetsty." whimpered one of the lackies.

Shizu glared at Bear with her currently emotionless blue eyes. The feathers all shot towards him, singling him out from the lackeys and attacking him.
After giving him numerous scratches, some shallow, some unbelievably deep, from the sharp black blades, Shizu used them to pin him to one of the walls that hadn't been destroyed.
A lesson to all; Don't piss off Shizu. You'll no doubt regret it.

"Boss!" the lackies shouted. Dago could almost see Ren and shizu together when once again he was picked up by the tail. "Stop right there!" one more step and the rat/weisl thing dies!" said a lacky holding a Cero close to Dago."why me? dago asked himself.

"Hurt him and your boss dies. And once he's dead, I might just have to hurt you instead," she replied, suddenly sounding awfully sadistic, though she wasn't usually like that.
Her blue eyes had turned from the boss to the lackey holding Dago. They seemed to burn with an unnatural hatred as more feathers formed near her fingertips, just waiting for the lackey to make his choice.
