Traveling through the Menos Forest

Deep within the picht black forest filled with nothing but Hollow and Menos a lone Arrancar stood in a small clearing. Ren stood with her eyes closed and was in a still form with her elbows at her sides and her hands in fists outward.Ren opened her eyes and leat into the air and sent out several Aura Shards to the ground in a single line. When she landed she slid he left foot outward and made the Aura Shards go out like a wave of water. Breathing heavily she felt as though someone or something was watching her. "You want to come out on your own or do I have to make you?" she huffed.

Shizu had no way of being able to stop the Cero from breaking a small hole in the roof of the Menos forest. It shot up across the desert of Hueco Mundo, sand quickly falling back into place to cover the wound in the forest's 'sky'.

Shizu blinked at the word Ren had struggled to say. What did she mean?
The young Arrancar continued to Sonido around the area, planting feathers here and there.

Ren took a leap into the air and went through the hole that lead to the desert of Huaco Mundo. "Protect." she struggled to say again as she took off. She fired another cero across the grey sand causing explosions across the vast land as she let out a minecing roar.

Shizu sighed before creating steps with her feathers and using Sonido to travel up them and follow Ren to the surface. A long line of feathers gently followed her, all of them managing to get up onto the surface of the desert before the sand flowed into the hole, attempting to fill it back up.

The younger arrancar charged another deep purple Cero in her hands, though she kept an eye on Ren, blocking her attacks from hitting anything by countering and negating them with her own.

The feathers that had followed her up snaked underneath the sand, disappearing under the vast grey desert.

Ren was still flying across the desert as if hse was in a hurry to get somewhere. "Protect... family." she tried to say.

Dago was on the ground in his dragon form strugling to get up when a foot suddenly stomped on his upper back. The young hollow grunted from the empact and looked around him seeing nothing but blood along the sand and rocks. "Everyone I'm so sorry." he said.

"No..."
Shizu suddenly realized where Ren was headed. Her blue eyes began to widen in emotions she hardly ever showed: Shock... and maybe even fear.
She knew how much Ren treasured the group she had spent her time as an Adjuchas with. Shizu ran. She Sonido-ed across the desert faster than she had ever thought to move before. It didn't matter what Ren was or looked like now. She couldn't let her harm her friends.

"You leave Nii-sama alone you big bully!" a small white cat-like Adjuchas said to the Vasto Lorde. The Vasto Lorde chuckled evily and took a few steps closer to her, "'Leave you brother alone.' eh? Then maybe I'll just deal with you!" he shouted taking his syckle-like hand and slice the small Hollow in half. "Shiroooo!!" Dago yelled as Sickle hand laughed. "Power I want more power!" he roared and something from the sky fell sending dust all over the feild. A pair of red eyes glowed and a loud shrill raor came from it..

Shizu appeared on the scene not long after. She winced slightly at the roar, though it was hardly noticeable to anyone but herself. The young Arrancar blinked at the Vasto Lorde that was yelling towards the sky about wanting more power. Who the hell was he?

"Who are you?" Sicklehand asked Ren as Dago gasped as he saw Ren. "This isn't good. Please you have to get out of here!" he shouted at Sicklehand trying to get away. "Be quiet!" he said back handing Dago close to Shizu. Ren just stood there looking around.

*Ren's Mind*

Ren was in what looked like a large orb of water. No. What's happening?! she thought.

"Are you alright?" asked Shizu quietly as she crept the rest of the distance towards Dago.
Though she was speaking to the dragon-like Hollow, her blue eyes kept flicking upwards to watch Sicklehand and Ren. She wondered just how much control Ren had right now, if any at all.

"I'll be alright. It's Ren I'm worried about. She has no control when she's like that nor does she remember anything after." Dago explained.

Ren looked at Shironeko and growled. She charged at the Vasto Lorde as two tails began to form, at the ends of he tails were Scthys.

Shizu nodded, Dago having answered the question she had just been pondering. She tried to ignore the dissipating remains of the white cat-like Hollow, watching as the two scythed tails formed.

"What causes Ren to suddenly change like this?" asked Shizu, turning back to Dago.

"I'm not even sure myself Shizu. But if she changed this suddenly then it must have been this. but she was no where near us. Could it be that.." Dago trailed off looking and the light blue gem on his chest. Then it all clicked, "It's the Aura. Maybe the stones allow us to comunicate even if we are far apart from each other." he said in realization.

Rne was still fighting Scicklehand. "Heh, is that all you got!?" he asked huffing. He had gotten his scickle arm ripped of just moments ago and was close to calapsing.

Shizu nodded, silently taking in the information. Ren's aura abilities always intrigued her, mostly because apparently, Ren herself didn't even understand them properly. But this small bit of information could be a breakthrough on the road to understanding it completely.

She watched as the sickle arm was ripped off, landing on the sand of Hueco Mundo's desert.

Ren growled as her eyes started to shine even brighter. Riseing her tails close to her mouth she began to creat a Cero. "You think that is supposed to scar me!?" the Hollow shouted/asked.

"That stupid fool is going to get himself killed!" Dago shouted charging at Ren. "Ren you have to stop!" Ren didn't listen, "Reeeeen!!" the Cero had been fired.

The Cero was close, but didn't hit it's mark.
Shizu had seen to that.

She had thrown one of her own black hued Ceros to counter it. The Vasto Lorde deserved to be punished, but then, didn't they all? They all had to eat other hollows to become what they were today.

"Ren please stop! What would the others think if they saw you like this?! Ren!" Dago cried out as he stopped a few meters from his friend. Ren looked at Dago and was about to prepare another Cero.

*Ren's Mind*

Dago? What is he talking about? I want out, let me out!! she thought. The water orb shifted and began to disburst.

*Real World*

Just as the Sythetail was about to fire it's Cero it coughed up water. It grabbed at it's throat as if it was drowning, "Ren come on!" Dago shouted.

Shizu got up from where she had been crouching next to Dago before he had charged at Ren. She glanced at the sand before looking back up at Ren/Sythetail.

"Ren. I know how much you treasure your family. So stop this! Listen to them! This isn't you. You need to regain control!" she yelled, the jet black scarf no longer covering her mouth as she spoke. Shizu's tone wasn't the usual blunt emotionless one either, it was full of concern for her friend. Concern that she wasn't afraid to show anymore.

The mask on Ren began to shater with the origenal remains still there Ren fell to the ground face down. "Ren!" Dago yelled running to her side to see if he could help. Scicklehand was slowly trying to make a run for it.

Shizu nearly sighed in relief as Ren became the Ren she knew again. She spotted Sicklehand trying to escape, but decided to let him go. After all, he had had a big enough scare from Ren earlier.
Shizu followed Dago over to Ren. "Does this always happen afterwards?" she asked the ferret/dragon-like hollow.

"Yes it does. But this is the second time that I know of." Dago explained. as Ren was starting to wake up.

Slowly she got up holding her head, "What happened? Did I hit my head?" she asked as she heard a small moan from a few meaters away. She let out a gasp when she saw the area Ren turned to see where the moan had come from. If she still had a heart she was sure that it would of stopped she saw Shironeko cut in half in a pool of her own blood. Slowly Ren got up was knelt beside the small Adjuchas, "Ma-ma? Is that you? I- i can't see." she whimpered.

Shizu inwardly winced at the sight of the white cat hollow, severed in two, each part drenched in blood. The crimson staining her white fur, dying it red. Red like fire.. red like hell... Though soon to become black and dry.... like death.
The young Arrancar slowly walked towards Ren, hoping to comfort her.

Ren picked up the upper half of her dying friend unsure of what had just happened. Shironeko brought her paw up to Ren's face, "Mama can you s-sing me that lullaby like you used to?" she asked softly. Ren tried to hold back the tears but was unsuccsesful, "Sure." she said as she started to sing the song.(Ooc: You'll be in my Heart.) While she was singing Shiro's eyes slowly closed, "I love you Mama" she said before dissolving into dust. Dago watched and let out a mournful roar to the sky. Ren's body began to shake she brought her hands to her arms to stop the shaking, "Shiro, Shrio. Shiro!!!" she cried out.

Shizu just stood and watched solemnly as Ren softly sang the lullaby to her dying friend. The words seemed to echo in the silence, despite their enchanting and almost sad melody.
Anyone else would have cried at the scene, but Shizu was fully in control of her emotions. Though she couldn't help but feel sadness at Shironeko's passing. Despite the fact that she hadn't known her for long, the cat-like hollow had tried to be friendly to her.

Dago, still in his dragon form picked up Ren with his claws and up her on his back, "We should leave. Can you lead the way back to Los Noches, Shizu?" he asked softly. Ren didn't move she had stopped crying but she staied silent. She continued to look at the pool of blood that was still there in the sand.

Shizu nodded solemnly before slowly turning to walk back to Las Noches. She walked normal for a few meters, her blue eyes full of sorrow and loss.... though maybe not because of Shironeko's death. She pulled her scarf back up so that the black material covered her mouth again, then used Sonido to reach their destination in a shorter space of time. She would stop and wait for Dago every so often, as he was carrying the still mourning Ren.
