Ruidai smashed the front door of the castle and walked in. Black flames were spouting from his mouth, making his scales glisten eerily in the darkness of the night.

Ruidai chuckled, "I'm sure just feeding you and giving you enough water to make you flush out the poison is enough and less cost effective," he said smiling.

Kanari nodded. "Well i'll keep that in mind for when I see everyone again..."

Ruidai shrugged, "The kurayami empire cannot survive on being focused on wars so much, my grandfather began the slow change of the empire, I'm hoping Ryu will finish it, but if she's been sneaking off to the heiwana empire for unknown reasons I have no choice but to have her executed for treason," he said flicking his tail back and forth.

"You dont have to execute her at all. She's your daughter! Dont you trust her judgement? You dont know why she was on Heiwana land.. it could have been a good reason. Just.. ask her.." siggested Kanari. Whatever happened, she didn't want her friend getting executed for treason.

"I tried that yesterday, she didn't answer me and ruined part of the castle," he snorted.

"And you'll just give up right!?" she sighed, jumping onto the bed. "I guess thats what adults do best."

"Sadly we aren't as energetic as you. You and Ryu are in your prime, your mother and myself have begun to slow," he said snorting.

"As far as I knew, talking doesnt require extensive use of speed. You....could....speak...extremely....slowly...like...this....and....still....get....an...answer...eventually....."
She burst out laughing after her long sentance where the end of each word had been dragged out.
"Why not let me talk to her?"

Ruidai snorted, "No," is all he said.

"Why not? Maybe she'll just get fed up of me talking so slowly that she'll just blurt everything out!"

"No, that is final," Ruidai snorted.

Kanari shrugged, "Fine..."

Ruidai snorted picking up the tray and left the room.

Kanari yawned and slumped back down on the bed. She decided to write a story in her mind. She started off thinking about what she should write it about... "Togarine would be interesting..." she mewed to herself, rolling onto her back and staring up at the ceiling.
