A Father's Wrath

Ruidai smashed the front door of the castle and walked in. Black flames were spouting from his mouth, making his scales glisten eerily in the darkness of the night.

Kanari heard a rather loud smashing sound and leaped out of bed. She poked her head out of the door, but the guards were still there. She sighed and prepared herself to run. She flapped her wings, then opened the door and charged out. Before the guards even knew what was happening, she had dissapeared off down the corridor to find out what was going on.

Ruidai looked around growling, he was beyond rage at this point and was struggling to restrain himself from burning the entire kingdom down to ashes himself.

Kanari turned a few corners and headed for the palace gates, after a small while, she almost ran into Ruidai and nearly died. She froze and blinked for a few seconds and pointing with a paw before zooming off in the opposite direction. Fighting a Kurayami warrior was one thing, but the king!?

Ruidai's eyes narrowed at the heir of the Heiwana throne, he roared out and launched towards the fleeing dragoncat. If I can capture her I'll figure out why my daughter has been sneaking here, he thought as his wings tore the walls apart as he flew down the hallways and corridors.

Kanari ran.. or rather, flew for her life. She had one advantage though. She knew the palace, Ruidai didnt. The Heiwana heir suddenly darted down a small tunnel that lead to the kitchens. She knew that the king would follow, but it was narrowed down here and he;d have to change into a smaller form to fit through.

Ruidai roared out and changed into his in-betweeen form. The demonic look he had in this form only should complete blood thirsty rage as he sped after Kanari as if she was his prey.

Kanari would probably have screamed if she wasnt such a skillful flier. She dodged all the tables and other DragonCats that were in the kitchens and sped out of one of the windows, knocking a freshly cooked pie from its sill. XD

(NUUU not the pie!!!! D:)

Ruidai roared out changing back into a dragon, unlike Kanari he destroyed nearly everything in the kitchen as he flew through the wall as if it was paper.

Sighing, Kanari continued to fly onwards in her in-between form. She was unusally fast in this form with her feathered wings, which were built for speed. She sped into the lower town and dashed through it. Ignoring the shocked faces of the townspeople, she was quickly reaching the forests on the other side of the town.

Ruidai roared out again letting out a jet of black flames engulfing the streets of the town. He sped after Kanari easily keeping up with his own feathered wings.

The Heiwana heir kept flying. She chanced a glance back at the king and seconds ofter, wished she hadnt. She creashed into a tree and caught her wing on some of the branches. She struggled and flailed around, trying to break herself free before the Kurayami king could get any closer.

Ruidai landed by the tree and growled at the heir, "Your kingdom has some explaining to do, child," he said as he grabbed the small dragoncat and pinned her onto the ground.

Kanari tried to struggle free. "What do you want with me!?"

Ruidai growled lowly, "Why has my daughter been sneaking into your territory!?!" he picked the heir up and glared at her straight into the eye.

"How in Zarnelda's name am I supposed to know!?" she hissed, trying to hide the second thoughts that had appeared in her mind. Was Ryu alright? How did the king know? What was going to happen to her?

[LOLOL I know shes Heiwana, but Zarnelda's name sounds better than Kuralia's name]

Ruidai growled and opened his mouth letting a red beam out and surround the young heiwana to have her face her worst fears.

[>.> Dude I have no idea what Kanari's worst fears would be... Dude. The fear element is like the ultimate torture if youre locked in a prison cell XDD]

Kanari struggled for a few seconds then made a small almost whimpering sound. Though this wasnt her darkest deepest fear... it was the one that surfaced now. Utsukushii, Mai... Akarui.. Ryu, everyone she had ever cared about, lay dead in a clearing in the woodland. The scarlett splatters of blood littered the clearing as some of them took their last breaths and slipped away into the black void of oblivion....

"Tell me the truth or I will make your days filled with your worst nightmares as your kingdom falls while you are stuck inside one of my prisons," Ruidai growled, he knew the city was in too much chaos to try to find him and the girl for now.

"Theres nothing to tell!!" she protested as the fears slowly dissapeared from around her, as the shrieking mist dissolved into thin air. Her ears were pinned to her head and her tail and wings were drooping. No matter what happened she wouldnt risk uncovering Ryu...

Ruidai growled and let loose another blast of fear onto the heiwana.

Kanari let out a piercing scream as the element forced her to face her worst fears...

Ruidai picked up the heiwana and began carrying her to the KUrayami kingdom. He knew she'd be immobile so long as he kept her fears up.

Kanari kept screaming and protesting againsed her fears, but they just wouldnt go away... no matter what she did...

Ruidai neared the border of the kingdoms. He decided he should shut the heiwana up he tired a vine around her mouth tightly. When he had finished his work he walked onto Kurayami territory still carrying the heir to the Heiwana throne.
