The Dark Side of the Elder Street Sister: Part 1

Mia strode through the streets of New York one day, although not as proudly as she normally would. Today, something about her was different. She seemed shrouded in darkness today, and not on account of her powers. No, this was entirely different.

"I'm so confused.........." Mia muttered to herself. The normally hard yet confident look in her eyes was replaced by one of utter psychoticness. She rarely blinked, and she was sort of hunched over as she walked. She looked guilty, sad, angry....... al kinds of emotions flew around on her face. She didn't even seem to be paying attention to her surroundings. She just wasn't herself. Or at least, her "current" self.......

"I love New York at night...." Mia mused quietly as they looked out at the New York Skyline.

"Yea," Dylan said, "Thats the reason I live so high up, I can see all of it whenever I want to." he said.

Mia yawned, tired from the excitement of the day. Her eyelids started to get heavy, and she started to struggle to stay awake.

Dylan noticed Mia was starting to doze off, "Here Mia," he said, "lets get you to bed." he then picked her up bridal style and carried her to one of the bedrooms. He then layed her down on the bed and began to turn around to leave the room.

Mia began to wake up as Dylan attempted to leave. She was starting to get a really uneasy feeling again and she didn't want to be left alone there. "Where are you going?" she called out to him, an eerie shiver beginning to crawl up and down her spine once again.

"To my own room," Dylan said, "Why, are you feeling okay?" he asked.

"Honestly no. I'm starting to get that sick feeling again..." Mia admitted. "I... I really don't want to be left alone." she explained, her fear and paranoia clear on her face.

"Do you want me to lay down with you?" Dylan asked, trying to remain as calm as he could.

"Please." Mia responded immediately, totally oblivious to the awkwardness of the situation.

"Okay then," Dylan said, he then walked over and got into the bed and put his arms around Mia, so her head was in his chest. He did this so that Mia wouldn't see how red his face was.

As Mia began to fall asleep again, she began to hear voices. At first she couldn't make out what they were saying, but soon she could make them out clearly.

"You are a monster.
"Murderer!
"Join us.

"'Join us?'"
Mia opened her eyes to a maelstrom of what looked like souls swirling in a black void. They all chanted horrible things about her, jeered her, laugh at her and taunt her to the point where she started to go insane.

"You animal!"
"No...!"
"You killed them!"
"I didn't...!"
"Join us."
"SHUT UP! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!!!!" she began to scream in her sleep.

Mia's screaming woke Dylan up, "Mia! Mia!" he shouted, "Calm down! Its just a nightmare!" he tried to restrain her from thrashing around in the bed.

The storm of evil spirits seemed to be closing in on Mia, which caused her to trash around harder to try and get away. She probably would have gone totaly insane if she hadn't heard Dylan's voice over the din of voices taunting her.

"Dylan......?"

Mia slowly opened her eyes. She was hyperventilating and she looked like she was about to cry.

"Mia are you alright?" Dylan asked her, his worry was showing in his voice.

Mia just couldn't find a way to snap herself out of her panic. Memories of her past came flooding back. They were so vivid it felt like reality, which only scared her more. She really did start sobbing now, she just couldn't pull herself together.

"Mia, its alright," Dylan said pulling her closer, hoping she would calm down at least a bit. He couldn't handle seeing her like this.

Mia wrapped her arms around Dylan's neck and buried her face into his shoulder and eventually calmed down enough for her to fall asleep again.

Dylan was glad Mia had finally calmed down and went to sleep, he looked at the clock and it read 1:00A.M. They had only been sleeping for a coule hours before Mia had her nightmare, so Dylan also went back to sleep.

The next morning Dylan had woken up and slipped out of bed without waking up Mia. He then went into his office and started cooking breakfast for the two of them, cause yes, his office does have a fully stocked kitchen in it.

Jeremy the now orphaned son of Henry well not exactly orphaned but his dad was half way across the world and his mom was dead. But that was beside the point, the point was he needed Dylan's help. Jeremy made his way into the Hydra Airlines building he waved hello to the secretary. Henry's triaxe corps had been in business with Hydra Airlines so Jeremy could get in with out a hassle he quickly punched in the button for the floor of Dylan's office. HE waited was the elevator moved up and thought of how he was gonna ask Dylan to drop everything and fly him and Wolf along with some friends all the way to mount everest.
The elevator opened and Jeremy made his way threw the hall to Dylan's office and opened the door without knocking. " Yo." He greeted.

Dylan looked up from the eggs that he was flipping into an omelet, "Um... hi," he said, "what are you doing here?" he asked.

Jeremy reached into his jacket pocket and popped another one of his pills dry. " UM I need a favor." Jeremy said as he slipped into Dylan's office and onto his expensive office chair behind his desk.

Dylan added some salt and pepper to the omelet, "What kind of favor?" he asked, keeping his eye on Jeremy.

As Dylan and Jeremy talked, Mia stumbled into the doorway of the kitchen, looking like she was about to fall over. She was a complete and TOTAL disaster. Her eyes were only halfway open and there were huge purple bags beneath them. She seemed to blink in slow motion. Her hair was a disheveled, scruffy rat's nest. Her arms hung limp as she leaned against the doorframe, as if she was too tired to stand up straight. Overall, she just looked like she really needed to go back to bed. "I hope you know you snore like a Gail." she grumbled tiredly.

"Morning Mia," Dylan said looking up. He then walked over to her and then walked her over to a table, "Sleep well?" he asked as he went back to the stove.

Jeremy started to shake at the thought of what was happening here he pointed to Mia and then to Dylan and then crossed his arms with still pointing his fingers. " DUDE WHAT THE HECK?!?!" He shouted he looked to Mia and then Dylan and then Mai. " Really you guys are living together really and not only that but Dylan's the woman in this ?!?!?" Jeremy asked completely stunned.
