Lost and freezing

Avia the staraptor, soared proudly through the sky. Suddenly a heavy snowfall set in, and she was lost. The great bird's left wing became sheeted with ice, and immediately she was sent down into a spiral. Eventually, she landed in the thick pillow of snow with a shiver. She then began to walk through the snow, hopefully she wouldn't freeze to death before someone discovered her.

Dusty nodded and sat leaning againsed the tree trunk. From her trasure bag, she produced two apples. She handed one to Avia.
"Eat up!" she grinned cheerily.

Avia nodded and bit into an apple."Tastes good." she chirped,taking another bite.

"Good, good. They should taste nice, since I picked them." she grinned, taking a bite into her own apple.

"So how far do you think Grassviel is from here? She said between bites of her apple.

She shrugged, "But if we can find the stream, we could follow it back to Grassveil."

"Great." she chirped, just finishing her apple.

Dusty grinned, "Or I could just scout ahead, and see how far it is from this particular spot."

"Nah, Ill come," She said, feeling much better. She stretched her legs, ready for another run. Literally.

The Flygon grinned, "Alright, lets get going!!"
She began to march off, feeling extremely cheerful again for some reason.

As they started marching, Avia tripped over something that happened to be protruding out of the snow. Avia felt the cold snow stick to her feathers. She shook herself angrily, as she had just gotten over the cold. She went and uncovered the box, noticing that it looked like a treasure chest."Hey Dusty, come check this out!" she called for her partener.

Dusty did a spin on one of her feet, then marched back over to Avia. She looked at the box, "A treasure chest?"

"Yeah!" she chirped, trying to pry it open."Humph," it won't budge. The box didnt seem to have a keyhole, but it wouldnt open either.

Dusty blinked..."Lets take it with us. Someone in town might know how to open it!"

"Okay," chirped the staraptor. She managed to fit the box in her bag, though it took up a lot of space. Avia began to trudge through the snow once more, carrying the bag."I wonder whats in it," she began to think of all the riches that might have been inside of it.

Dusty shrugged, "I dont know. But I can carry it if you want... you need to rest."

"Okay, here," she said, handing Dusty the box. She began imagining what might be in the box one more. It felt a litle too like to be poke, and it didnt make noise. So what was it?

Dusty smiled, glad to take the weight off of her partner. She picked up the bag, the sling it over her shoulder. XD

After another few painfully long minutes, Avia noticed that there seemed to be something glittering. She sped up a little, but frowned when she notices that it was only 20 poke. She stuffed it in her bag and kept moving on, occasionally checking back to see if Dusty was handling okay.

Dusty noticed the glances she kept getting from Avia, but she didn't mind. That was what partners were for, to look out for each other.

After another terrible period of time, Avia spotted something blue. It was long and frozen. The river! She turned back to Dusty,"Hey, look here, we finally made it to he river!"

Dusty grinned and placed the bag next to the river bank. "WOO-HOO!!" she grinned as she leaped into the water.

Youre going into the freezing cold water?" Avia questioned, tilting her head. She would never go in here, she cant even swim.

"Yea! Its refreshing!" she grinned as her head resurfaced. "I wont stay in here for long though, because I cant fly as well when my wings are wet."

"Well then come on. We dont have all day," she somethinged because Ive run out of qords to describe her voice.

Lol, thats who i feel when i try and describe Cobalt's voice.. because its like.. she dont chirrup or mew or anything.. she's just quiet..

The Flygon grinned then pulled herself from the water. She shook the water off her scales(?) then flapped her wings to get most of the moisture off them. She then grinned and replaced the bag with the chest in, over her shoulder.
