Lessons and Lessons

Dorakorekkusu walked towards the area where many dragon cats were training their elemental powers. Naturally they bowed and backed away as he approached. "Shenmi! I must speak with you!" he yelled, though not angrily, just in a commanding tone.

The jet black DragonCat, currantly in her in-between form, stepped forwards and dipped her head respectfully. She looked up at the king with her deep amber eyes. "What is it you wish to speak to me about?"

"My daughter," he said turning around and began walking towards the castle, he knew if she didn't follow he'd kill her on the spot for disobeying him. It was extreme, but effective in keeping his power secure.

The teacher rolled her eyes, but followed Dorakorekkusu none-the-less. She knew that she was the best in her craft, and could easily overpower the king with her fear element if she needed to, but right now she didn't particularly have anything else to do anyways. "What about her?"

"Did she mention anything strange in her lessons?" he asked, taking on a less commanding tone as they walked.

"No." she replied. The fears of each of her students was a well guarded secret. She knew the damage that could be done if other DragonCats knew about someone's deepest darkest fears.
"Why do you ask?"

"She's been sneaking out of the castle lately. I've been...concerned on what's drawing her away from here, I tried following her last night but she's faster than me," he said, though he was the king of a war loving empire, he was still a father, the thought of his little girl going out to do who knows what saddened and angered him all the same.

Shenmi shrugged, "I honestly have no idea why she might be sneaking out. Perhaps she just likes a bit of alone time during the night?"
She spoke every word truthfully, which was a surprise, even for her.

Dorakorekkusu snorted and muttered, "I'll kill the male she's sneaking out to if I must."

"How do you know she's even seeing someone? For all we know she could just go out and kill Togarine all night." she replied, rolling her eyes. Dorakorekkusu really did like to jump to conclusions.

Dorakorekkusu snorted, "No, I smelled another dragoncat's scent on her when she came back the other night, though I couldn't tell who it was," he was growling lowly now.

She shrugged, "That doesn't mean it was male. Maybe she just has a friend and she's so busy fulfilling your ambitions during the day that she has to visit them by night."
Shenmi rolled her eyes, "If you have nothing more to talk about, I'll leave. I have no desire to know where your daughter goes during the night."

Dorakorekkusu sighed, "I do not need a daughter who is deceitful to succeed me."

"I thought that's what your line was famous for." she growled, "Lies, deceit, war and fighting."

He narrowed his eyes to slits, "We are about war and fighting, but lies and deceit no longer runs in this blood, it's useless for the Kurayami Empire now," he growled back.

"Well then. If you think it is no longer part of your bloodl, your daughter should tell you what you want when you ask her."
Her own amber eyes were slits as she turned to head back towards the training grounds.
"I dont see what else I can do to help you."

Dorakorekkusu snorted and launched up towards the castle.

With a flick of her tail, Shenmi took off, her powerful dragon-like wings carrying her towards the training grounds. From the air, her amber belly was fairly visible, but she didn't particularly care.
