Battle One: Ellen vs. Hisana

"Now for the first battle in the tornament is... Ellen vs Hisana! This will be a three on three match; the victer shall continue on when all Pokemon are unable to battle." the Refferee said While Hisana aproched the battle areina. I have to play this smart, Ellen has a dark type, Psychic type, and an Electric/flying type. Hisana thought. "So looks like you'll be first, let's go! Rukia!" Hisana called out her Seel. Tossing the Pokeball into the air it clicked open and released the small white seal Pokemon, "Seel! (I'm ready for battle!)" she cried out.

"Ichigo, Counter!" Hisana said. A thin blue shield surrounded Ichigo as he was getting hit from Lumi and her double-ganger. He had to keep fighting for Rukia, and for Senna.

"Stop!" yelled Ellen.

All of a sudden both Lumi and her many copies froze, before gliding backwards through the air to put some distance between themselves and the Counter shield. It was an odd move that most people would have never seen before. The battle came to an uneasy standstill as Ellen waited for the Riolu to use it's next move.

Hisana was trying to think of a way to use the Emolga's speed against her. But how? she thought. "Ichigo Sky Uppercut!" she shouted. Ichigo lept in the air and aimed for Lumi and brought his paw up when he was just inches from her.

"Iron Tail!" yelled Ellen immediately. Counter would have no effect now that Ichigo had switched moves.

The Emolga immediately flipped round as Ichigo swung his paw towards her. She brought her metal tail down to counter the Sky Uppercut move, hopefully negating any damage it would have caused.

Hisana smirked,"Ichigo use Focus Palm!" she comanded. While Sky Uppercut was being blocked by Iron Tail, Ichigo used his other paw andpushed himself forward and palmed the Emolga. "We won't fall for the same trick twice." she said to Ellej.

"Thundershock!" yelled Ellen, immediately after the call for the Force Palm attack.
The Emolga took some damage from the Force Palm, as her Tail could only deflect Sky Uppercut. However, at such close range, and with Lumi's speed, there was almost no way the Riolu would dodge a Thundershock move right now. Adding in the actual contact that Ichigo had with the Emolga's body right now, he was trapped with no way of escape.

The blue electricity was released from Lumi's body immediately after Ellen's call.

"We won't let you get away that easily!" Ellen replied to Hisana's comment.

Hisana growled for a second as she watched Ichigo getting zapped by Lumi. The Riolu sceamed out in pain, "Remember why we came here, Ichigo! I wanted all of us to get stronger, you don't have to win this match. Just try your best, that's all that really matters!" Hisana shouted to her Pokemon.

Ichigo managed to open his eyes alittle and glanced back at Hisana, even though he was in pain from the Thunder Shock he grined at His trainer, "Now use Counter!" she shouted. Ichigo's eyes flew open and let out a small roar as his body started to glow blue creating the sheild that would send the opponants attack right back. Being this close should do a staedy amount of damage.

Unfortunately for Ichigo and Hisana, Ellen had wised up to the Counter move already.
"Double team!" she yelled.

Lumi immediately stopped her onslaught of electrical attacks before the Riolu had chance to create his blue barrier. There were once again multiple copies of the Emolga and Lumi herself was no nowhere near Ichigo as the copy in front of him immeditaely disappeared.

Ichigo landed on the stadeum floor panting, This is really taking it's toll on Ichigo. Even if we don't make it past this round as long as we tried our absolute best that's all that matters. she thought. Ichigo looked around for the Emolga when all of the copies were gone, Ichigo growled in frustration trying to find the electric tpye.

"Quick Attack!"
Ellen quickly decided her next move. The copies began to speed around the arena again, the tell tale white light of Quick Attack behind each of them. Each of the copies cheerfully giggled as they span through the air, further confusing Ichigo with their antics.

Ichigo loked at the Emolga's in confution trying to figure out wich one was the real Lumi. "Ichigo Quick Attack!"Hisana shouted. She wasn't sure onhow much Ichigo could Counter any other moves. Ichigo rush across the gound for a moment at leapt in the air trying to find Lumi.

"Thundershock!" yelled Ellen.

The real Lumi, using the last of the Quick Attack, sped underneath Ichigo as he launched himself into the air and released a Thundershock upwards, straight at the Riolu. She then glided away before he had chance to fall back down and attack her.

Ichigo dodge and use Sky Uppercut!" Hisana shouted. The Riolu moved to the left and jumpped into the air and used Sky Uppercut aiming for the Electric/Flying type.

"Use Quick Attack to glide underneath!" yelled Ellen.

The Emolga did as she was told, the white light from the Quick Attack once again trailing behind her as she darted down, avoiding Ichigo's Sky Uppercut. Whilst the Riolu was still traveling upwards from the momentum of his move, the Emolga zoomed underneath him, keeping her distance.

"Thundershock!!"

"Emol-ga!"
Lumi released the Thundershock move, aiming straight upwards at Ichigo. Ellen watched as the thin stream of electricity jumped the gap between the two Pokemon, aiming to damage the Riolu.

The Thundershock was getting closer to the Riolu, "Wait for it, wait for it." Hisana whispered to herself. The attack was now ontop of Ichigo as his eyes widened in fear. "Ichigo Counter!" The thin blue sheild appered when Ichigo made his body tense. Sending the attack back with twice the power heading for the Emolga.

Lumi hadn't expected the move and so by the time it was coming back to her, she had only moments to realize what was happening. The Emolga however, didn't bother to move. Ellen didn't even think about asking her to dodge.

Hisana's mistake.

Instead of damaging Lumi, the electricity was absorbed. It was twice as powerful as her normal Thundershock, giving her twice the speed increase. The Emolga grinned.

"Thundershock again!" yelled Ellen, knowing that it would either hit or miss. There was no way the electrical attacks could harm her Pokemon.

The Emolga nodded, once again gliding after Ichigo, however, she was so fast it was hard to track her zig zagging movements. Lumi then sent another thin stream of electricity towards Ichigo, from behind.

Hisana facepalmed she compleatly forgot about Lumi's moter drive. "Ichigo dodge it! Then use Focus Palm!" She shouted. Ichigo zigzagged through the Thundershock and got in close. Focusing his energy into his palm he use Focus Palm.

"Dodge and Thundershock!" yelled Ellen, the Emolga happily obliging.

Lumi let out another joyful cry as she swiftly glided away from the incoming Force Palm before flipping around so that she was facing the Riolu again. She then used the Electric type move, it's thin stream of power once again heading towards Ichigo
The Emolga's speed was incredible. She had been fast before from Senna's attempt to Thunderpunch her, but now she was even faster. Being half flying type too... you couldn't really rival it.

"Ichigo didge it!" Hisana shouted. Ivhigo dodged most of the ecactricity but ebded up getting zapped by one of the bolts. "Use Quick Attack!" Ichigo charged forward leaving a white trail behind him.

"Copy him! Dodge and then strike!" yelled Ellen.

The Emolga nodded, the signature light of Quick Attack once again appearing behind her. She easily dodged Ichigo's own Quick Attack, almost playing with the Riolu as she twisted and turned through the air. She then peeled off before shooting upwards and then straight down towards Ichigo.

ichigo grunted when the Emolga hit him from behind, "Ichigo use Focus Palm!" The Riolu didn't have much strangth left but he managed to use Focus Palm at the now close Emolga.

Lumi hadn't expected the Force Palm attack. She had been to confident in her increased speed to have thought about the dangers. The Emolga was flung backwards across the battlefield, spinning through the air and landing on the ground. She was down, but she was not out. She quickly pushed herself back onto her feet, narrowing her eyes at the Riolu. Lumi dusted herself down and spread her arms, looking to Ellen for her next move.

"Thundershock!"
Lumi nodded, pushing herself back off the ground. She was once again weaving through the air like an acrobat. The Emolga charged the electricity in her cheek pouches as she flew towards Ichigo, the speed she absorbed from Motor Drive still active.

Before the Emolga got in too close, she discharged the electricity however it wasn't a weak little Thundershock anymore. The bigger and more powerful stream of yellow hurtled straight for the Riolu, the Emolga's immense willpower having created a huge burst of electricity.

Dodge it, Ichigo!" Hisana shouted knowing that the Riolu didn't have much energy left. Ichigo dodged left and right, the Thunderbolt was coming in quickly towards Ichigo from behind. He grunted from the electric attack and fell to the ground. He tried to get up but was stopped from Pyralisis.

"Iron Tail!"

The Emolga quickly shot towards the Riolu, her speed enabling her to get in close in a matter of milliseconds. Lumi then flipped around, striking down at Ichigo with her Iron Tail.

With Lumi now in at close range Hisana hopped for the best, "Ichigo Counter!" she shouted. The Riolu glanced over at the Emolga still on his knees and glowed blue once again creating the thin blue sheild to counter the pokemon's move.
