Battle One: Ellen vs. Hisana

First topic message reminder :

"Now for the first battle in the tornament is... Ellen vs Hisana! This will be a three on three match; the victer shall continue on when all Pokemon are unable to battle." the Refferee said While Hisana aproched the battle areina. I have to play this smart, Ellen has a dark type, Psychic type, and an Electric/flying type. Hisana thought. "So looks like you'll be first, let's go! Rukia!" Hisana called out her Seel. Tossing the Pokeball into the air it clicked open and released the small white seal Pokemon, "Seel! (I'm ready for battle!)" she cried out.

Ellen panicked as she realised what the blue barrier was.
"Confusion!"
Serena didn't even need the command to know what to do next. It was this or she was going to be defeated. The Kirlia quickly focused her psychic energy, stopping the leaves mid-flight as they headed straight back for her. After negating  the Countered Magical Leaf, Serena didn't have enough time to stop Ichigo's Quick Attack from
hitting and so was flung a fair way across the battlefield. However, she still had enough energy for Ellen's next commands.
"Shadow Sneak!"

From where she lay, Serena's shadow began to once again extend. The long black attack rushed towards the Riolu, not giving him enough time to launch another attack.
Serena slowly got back to her feet as her shadow attacked. It was clear that she was beginning to feel the effects of all the damage she was taking.

I don't think Ichigo can counter this move, so we'll gust have to improvise. Hisana thought with a grin. "Ichigo use Focus Palm!" she comanded, ichigo looked back at her with a shocked look that said "Are you nuts?". "Trust me." she whispered. Ichigo readyed himself for the shadow to come closer as he tightened his fist. With narrow eyes his paw started to glow as he began to focus, You can do it Ichigo. Hisana thought.

The Shadow was now above Ichigo and drew even closer to him. The Riolou's eyes snapped open and braced himself from the attack still focusing his energy into his fist. When he falt the time was right Ichigo swung his paw upward dispersing the shadow, making the remains almost look like flames.

The shadow however, altered it's course. It did not move upwards as predicted. Instead it went underneath the Riolu, attacking him from behind where it could catch him off guard.

Serena winced as she finally got back up onto her feet, though despite the injuries she had sustained, she was still as graceful as always. The Kirlia couldn't help thinking back though. back to the boat where Ellen had first met Hisana. This was that same Riolu that knocked her over whilst she was looking at the map. Smiling to herself she decided to do one last pirouette before her time on the battlefield ended as she anticipated it would.
She gracefully spun across the field, Ellen smiling slightly despite the worry she felt inside. She knew that Kirlia had the power to see the future... and it seemed Serena wanted to go out just as she had come in, with grace and serenity.

"Magical leaf," she whispered.

Serena nodded, her eyes gently closing as she continued to dance across the battlefield. She seemed to take no notice of whatever Ichigo and Hisana were doing at that moment. Concentrating only on her dancing. The graceful flowing movements made it seem like she was dancing to some gentle music, much like that of a Sing move. As she danced though, she also created Magical Leaves. Her pale arms controlling where they went. They follower Serena as she danced, creating an atmosphere worthy of a Contest Appeal once again.
When Serena finished, she raised her arms into the air, the leaves all gathering into one single cluster before she sent them once again towards Ichigo.

The Shadow had altered it's course instead of going above Ichigo it went underneath him and attacked him from behind. The attack had knocked the Pokemon down frontwards causing him to fall to his knees. "Are you alright?!" Hisana asked the small Pokemon.

Ichigo slowly got up turning his head to his trainer, "Mah." he grunted nodding his head. "Use Quick Attak!" Hisana said in a hurry when she saw the Magical Leaf coming in towards Ichigo. Ichigo looked back in confusion and did what he was told dodging the magicalLeaf with great speed. "Now Quick Attack again follow up with Sky Uppercut!" Hisana said.

Ichigo used quick Attack once again to get in front of Serena and brought his fist upwared to use Sky Uppercut.

Serena's eyes opened for the first time since earlier. Ellen frowned. As she had thought, the Kirlia had seen her own future. Serena was flung once again across the battlefield, but unlike before, Ellen knew that she wouldn't have the energy to get up again.

Ellen quickly ran out onto the field, catching her friend in her arms before she could hit the floor. She knew that Serena's role in the battle was over, and the judges knew it too. Ellen smiled, finally taking the Kirlia's Pokeball from her side.
"You did more than your share today. I'm proud of you," she whispered before Serena was gone in a flash of red light.

Returning to her place on one end of the field, Ellen selected her next Pokemon.
"Through the darkest of nights, shine! Nightshade!"

Out from the Pokeball came a Murkrow. She fluttered for a few seconds in the air before landing on the dusty battleground, seemingly bowing to Ichigo. It looked like she was tipping her 'hat' to him in greeting. Nightshade then spread her wings, once again taking flight before Ellen's first shout.
"Haze then Wing Attack"

Nightshade opened her beak and a deep black smoke came out from it. Obscuring Ichigo's vision within it's inky depths. The Murkrow knew of Ichigo's signature skills, but being a flying type, she was fast. She quickly used the initial element of surprise that the Haze attack would have hopefully given to zoom in with a Wing Attack move...

Ichigo sheilded his eye from the Haze attack but that didn't stop him from trying to find the Pokemon's Aura. He looked around quickly but was hit on the side from Wing attack, This isn't good, Ichigo's taken some damage from Serena, Rukia's no longer an opption, and Senna... Hisana thought. Senna was a Pokemon that was still like a baby but she packed amazing power, "You can win this, Ichigo return!" Hisana called back Ichigo whipping out his Pokeball before he had a chance to do anything.

"Show them your couage, Senna!" she called forth her Pokemon. The Tiny Pokemon was now back in the battle and in the dark. "Pi-pichu?!" she cried looking around not sure of what to expect. "Senna! Be brave, use Thunder Wave in the air!" Hisana shouted from the other side, Senna gulped she was scared but she wanted to show Hisana and her friends that she was strong, "Piichuuu!!" she shouted releasing blue electricaty towards the sky causing the Haze to disapper.

The Murkrow watched as Ichigo was returned and a Pichu was sent out instead. Nightshade recognized Senna as the Pichu who spoke to her on the boat... not that it mattered. She shot up out of the black smoke before the Thunder Wave could paralyze her.
"Mirror Move!" yelled Ellen, thinking quickly.

Nightshade did a spin in mid-air. It was a rather impressive movement actually, but it's splendor was lost because of what came next. The Murkrow released blue electricity from her beak, heading straight down towards Senna.

Without even seeing the results of the move, Ellen knew what she was going to do next. Nightshade veered off her downwards course and headed back towards her trainer. Ellen then returned her in a swift red light. The blonde haired trainer then grabbed Lumi's Pokeball. In the heat of what she planned, Ellen completely forgot, Lumi's opening line. She practically kicked herself for it later... but it wouldn't hurt just for one battle.

"Emolga!~"
Lumi glided across the battlefield, cheerfully grinning before Ellen yelled, "Double Team!"
Then, Lumi began to glow, her body seemingly splitting to make copies of itself. It was unclear where the real Lumi was amongst all the fakes.

Senna watch was her previous move was coppied and sent towards her. "Sanna dodge it!" Hisana shouted. Practily missing her Senna some how managed to evade the Thunder Wave. That was when Ellen returned her Murkrow and sent out her third and final Pokemon: Lumi the Emolga.

Senna watched at the flying/Electric Pokemon used Double Team. "Pichu." Senna squeked. "Senna spin and use Thunder Shock!" Hisana shouted thinking quickly. Senna got on one foot and started spinning and used Thunder Shock.

The copies, all graceful when gliding through the air, and experienced with electricity, mostly dodged the spinning Thundershock with ease. Occasionally a copy or two would be brought down... but Lumi wasn't going to be caught out by another Electric type move.
Being as mischievous -albeit hyper- as she was could have its perks. It meant you knew all the tricks.

"Quick Attack!"
Lumi and her copies all went speeding towards Senna with practiced ease. The Emolga copies all giggling and exclaiming "Emolgaa!~" at various intervals with the real Lumi's exclamation not necessarily being the first.

The Emolga coppies were hitting Senna left and right, even front and back. "Senna use Growl!!" Hisana said in a mild panic. If she could lower the Pokemon's attack strength then this should help the Pichu. Senna took a deep breath and let loose a loud Growl. Senna's Static ability should kick in at any time if the opponant makes contact she thought.

At the growl attack, all the copes clutched their ears and moved backwards. The symmetrical movements were quite entertaining to watch. When they recovered however, Ellen decided on her next move.
"Thundershock!"

The copies turned back to the Pichu, each of them simultaneously firing Thundershocks towards the little Pichu.

"Senna dodge it!" Hisana shouted. Senna started to spin when the Thundershock started to come at her.(Think of Avater the last airbender: Aang is dodging the Firebenders) It looked almost like the Pichu was dancing, That's it! the young trainer thought. "Senna, "I Will Not Bow"!" she shouted Senna looked at her trainer and grinned and started to move faster. Her movement were fast but in a way it was at her own pace. "Now Thunder Punch!" she shouted. With a small dramatic pause Senna lept into the air and punched one of the Emolga's not knowing if it was the real one. Her attack was sending electricity all over the place.

Ellen grinned. She had been waiting for this.
"Lumi! Motor Drive!!"

All the Sky Squirrel Pokemon grinned, before all the copies disappeared, including the one Senna had just hit. Lumi herself flew straight towards the Pichu, into the attack. She absorbed the sparks from the Thunderpunch, drawing ever closer until she collided with the punch itself.

Senna and Hisana looked at the Emolga in shock. "Moter Drive?" hisana asked herself. She had no knowlage of that attack, or was it even an attack? "Senna use Growl again!" she shouted. The tiny mouse Pokemon made contact with Lumi and took her chance to use Growl again. "Pichu!" she shouted.

The Emolga did a backflip, her speed having been increased dramatically from absorbing the Thunderpunch move. Lumi heard the Growl, but she didn't cover her ears as before. Instead she just waited for Ellen's next command.

"Thundershock!"
Nodding, the Emolga shot off again. Lumi, caught a small gust of wind, taking her high up into the air where she released blue electricity in her Thundershock move, heading straight for Senna, almost mirroring what Nightshade had done earlier.

"Pichu!" Senna cried out getting a Daja vu feeling. The Attack hit her head on, struggling to hold her ground,"Senna Use Thunder Shock!" hisana shouted. The Tiny Mouse refused to give up; instead of panicing she looked up at her opponant and grined. "Pichu." she whisperd as she tried to use Thunder Shock; when she did there was an explosion causing smoke to go everywhere. Hisana covered her eyes struggling to look for her Pokemon. "Senna!!" she called out, waiting impationtly for the smoke to clear.

The Pichu's Thundershock didn't affect Lumi, and she knew it. It just made her even faster.

"Thundershock!" smiled Ellen.
The Emolga flew right into the center of the smoke before she let out another Thundershock, this time, it extended outwards in almost every direction instead of just one single direction. The blue electricity shined through the smoke, causing it to look a lot prettier with the pale electrical charge than it would have just on its own.

Lumi then glided out of the smoke, landing on the ground to wait for it to clear.

By the time the smoke had cleared and Lumi's light show had ended Hisana was still looking for her Pokemon. Then a small shadow began to be seen, "Senna?"the young girl asked with worry. The Pichu was still standing but she wasn't moving and her head was down. Hisana ran over to her Pokemon and smiled saddly at that she saw, Senna had fainted but she still had a smile on her face. "You did amazing Senna, I'm proud of you." she whispered returning her Pokemon. "Pichu." Senna whispered before she went back inside her Pokeball.

Ellen contemplated returning Lumi to her Pokeball... but there was no use wasting all the extra speed she had gained from Senna's electric type attacks.
"Lumi, I'm counting on you. Hang in there!" she yelled.

The Emolga replied with a cheerful cry, still as hyper and happy-go-lucky as ever.
Lumi spread her 'wings' and used her feet to propel herself back into the air. She glided over to her trainer, spiraling around her as she waited for Hisana to send out Ichigo.

Hisana went back to her spot on the feild and took out her last and final Pokemon, "Protect the one's you love, Ichigo!" She called tossing the Pokeball into the air. ichigo jogged in place and did a few practice punches getting himself pummped up. "Mah!!!" he growled, "Ichigo Quick Attack!" Hisana shouted. Ichigo rushed towards the Emolga at high speed. This was now a battle of speed.

"Quick Attack Lumi!"
The Emolga was off, gliding through the air at extreme speeds. If this was a battle of speeds, she was going to win.
Lumi narrowed her eyes as she flew, the white light from the Quick Attack trailing behind her as she headed straight for Ichigo... however, before she got too close, she veered off to the side before doubling round and then attacking the Riolu from the opposite side.

Ichigo quickly turned around to get Face to face with Lumi, "Focus Palm!" Hisana comanded. Ichigo pushed his paw forward trying to hit the Pokemon.

"Iron Tail!" yelled Ellen

Using her immense speed, the Emolga quickly flipped around, countering the Force Palm with her Iron tail move. She flung her tail towards Ichigo with the force of both the actual Iron Tail move and the remnants of the Quick Attack.

Ichigo's Force Palm and Lumi's Iorn tail made contact and created yet another explosion. This just made Ichigo slide back into the wall but it was nothing bad, "You ok Ichigo!?" Hisana asked. Ichigo nodded and put his gaurd up. "Ichigo use Quick Attack again!"

The explosion sent Lumi flying backwards through the air, but by extending her skin flaps, she stop herself from hitting the ground.
"Double Team!" yelled Ellen.

"Emolgaa!~"
Lumi grinned before she once again split into identical copies of herself.

"Counter that Quick Attack with your own!"

The Emolga along with all of her copies went speeding towards the Riolu.
