The Treecreeper

Katana stood outside the forest with her teammates, re-reading the notice she had pulled of the bulletin board yesterday:

Please Help!! There is a pokemon terrorizing the forest!
He attacks, knocks you out and steals your stuff before you can even blink. The residents of Shadowhue nicknamed him The Treecreeper, but no one knows his real name or species!

Client: Leavanny
Objective: Bring down The Treecreeper before he can cause more trouble
Rating: uh.. Hard? XDD
Dungeon: Shadowhue Forest
Reward: TM False Swipe, Reviver Seed, Defence Scarf, Pecha Scarf + 400poke

Katana didn't waste time and quickly used Air Slash on each of the copies. She suddenly realized that the real one wasn't there. Without thinking she took off, speedily scanning the area for the real Cacturne. She followed where the real Shadow Balls were coming from, dodging each of them using her speedy ability to fly.

The Cacturne panicked as his opponent sped closer and closer to him. Out of pure fear, the Cacturne launched a wild volley of powerful Shadow Balls flying towards the Scyther, at high speeds as well.

The Cacnea somersaulted right over the Volt Tackle, grinning. Then, she launched a volley of Bullet Seeds at the Pikachu. Her partner slammed a Drain Punch into the Oshawott's face, sending him flying, colliding with the Pikachu, shocking him with electricity.

Jake gasped, before falling down limp, weak and unable to move. Sparks of electricity danced around on his body.

The Scyther used Night Slash to destroy the Shadow Balls then homed in on the Cacturne. She was vaguely aware of her teammates predicament but she was fixated on the vicious pokemon. She drew in close to the Cacturne, before using Air Slash at close range, hoping to end this battle quickly and get back to the others.

Nate was hit by both the bullet seeds and the recoil from the attack, weakening him instantly. Crud, did I just hit Jake? he thought, looking around and seeing Jake not moving. Nate couldn't do anything, already too weak to do much else. He quickly turned his head to look around and see if there were any berry bushes nearby.

The Cacnea were closing in for the finisher, each coming from both directions with a Drain Punch. The weakened Pikachu couldn't do a thing, and his annoying partner was out of the way as well.

The Cacturne, on the other hand, wasn't so lucky. The Air Slash hit him head on, sending him spinning away, to who knows where. However, the damage left its mark, as the move had made a clearing in the forest, the trees all cut up.

The Scyther calmed herself down after the attack. She glanced around at the new clearing, still hovering in the air. She shook her head. Theres nothing I can do about it now.. Ive got to help the others...
Katana flew off, her tremendous speed allowing her to go back the way she came. She arrived to see the Cacnea closing in on Nate and from where she was still flying. She used Air Slash again, the more concentrated, blue ball of speeding wind heading straight for one of the Cacnea.

Nate sighed in relief as Katana flew over. He tried to crawl away from the other cacnea, since it was all he could do. He noticed Jake still on the ground, and crawled back over to Jake to see if he was ok. The pikachu felt guilty about knocking Jake out, even if it was an accident.

The Cacnea were both blown away to who knows where before they could complete the attack. However, they had left some strange-looking dark green spikes after being defeated.

Jake, however, was still unconscious.

Kat picked up the spikes, deciding to look at them properly later, then sped over to her teammates.
"What happened?" she asked as she landed next to the unconcious Jake.

Nate gave Katana a thankful nod, then looked back at Jake. "I tried to help him out, but I accidentally hit him. I think he's unconcious." he replied. "Do we have anything we can use to help him?" he asked the scyther, worried about his friend.

"I dont think we brought anything..." she sighed, "We'll have to go and look for some.."
She glanced around, but there didnt seem to be any berry bushes in the vicinity.

Nate nodded and slowly got up to his feet again. "Ok. Let's go." he said, walking into the forest and looking for anything usefull. Come on, anything? No Oran Berries? Nothing at all? he thought looking around in one bush, before moving to the next one.

Katana stayed close to where Jake was as she scouted the area from the air, looking for the ripe blue berries that would hopefully heal their friend.

Nate walked away further, looking through the bushes. Where the heck are they? he thought to himself, still looking. Almost giving up in that direction, Nate stumbled and tripped, landing near a bush, and finally finding an oran berry, just the thing they needed. "Hey Katana! I found one." he said, walking back to the two.

"Great!" she grinned, "See if it helps anything... if not, we might have to try and find a Reviver Seed..."
The Scyther landed next to Nate and Jake.

"Ok." he said to Katana, and put the Oran Berry in Jake's mouth, waiting for a reaction. It would be a real pain to have to find a reviver seed... Nate thought, watching Jake for any sign of movement.

Jake ate and swallowed the sweet-tasting berry, though it had no effect, as he was already knocked out. The little Oshawott made a moaning sound, before falling silent again.

Katana sighed, realising that the Oran Berry hadn't worked. "Check the treasure bag... we dont know what Jake brought with him.."

"Ok." Nate said, hoping Jake had planned ahead. He looked in Jake's treasure bag, and found a reviver seed. "Well, that's good. He brought some reviver seeds with him." he said to Katane, giving a seed to the oshawott.

"Thanks Arceus." she sighed, waiting for the Reviver seed to take effect.

Jake stirred, then opened his eyes slightly. His vision was blurred, though he could see the messed-up figures of his team. "Uh...." he moaned quietly, before falling back to sleep, though this time, more at peace.

OOC: He's revived, but still not very well. Also, I'm not gonna let him recover so easily!

"He's okay.." she smiled, relieved, "But it looks like he'll need to rest..."
The Scyther wondered how they would finish their job with Jake in this condition...

"Yeah..." Nate replied, happy that Jake was ok. "What should we do?" he asked, wondering how they would finish their job with Jake tired like this.

"I could carry him on my back, but i'd have to put him down to fight, which would make him vulnerable..." she suggested, frowning.

Jake groaned a bit more.
