Sweets and Trickery

Vanilla lazily thumped her tail against the tree trunk as she looked out at the creepy hill. Rayo hadn't been able to come along because he apparently had something to do, so she was forced to bring along Kawa the Oshawott. She eyed the Pokemon sitting below her on the ground. Kawa was a female, meaning she was competition when it came to being cute, and Vanilla didn't like competition... But a job was a job. The day was wearing on. She had recently sweet talked her Rattata friend into putting up a request on the bulletin board to deliver an Oran Berry and a Pecha Scarf to the designated area, the house up on top of the hill.

"You know the drill right Kawa..? Ambush the Pokemon and take whatever we can and go. Got it?" She said. She prayed it wouldn't be Oswald who took the mission thinking she was calling for him again. The hoo of an owl Pokemon somewhere signaled it was definitely getting late. "Though they'd better hurry it up..." She muttered.

Vanilla felt the shock hit her, making her body convulse for a brief moment as she was electrocuted. She could tell her fur was standing on end, and she was getting annoyed at this. She noticed Kawa going in for a Razor Shell attack, the Pikachu would have to dodge it or take the hit, meaning she'd have an open opportunity on her paws. She turned, using an Attract attack yet again on Nate, the pink hearts floating towards the Pikachu at a fairly quick speed.

Nat judged his options quickly, and decided to use volt tackle on Kawa. He quickly charged the electricity around his body, and ran into Kawa and the razor shell attack. He was knocked backwards a couple of feet, and hit the ground. He got back up slowly though, feeling the recoil from his attack.

Kawa flew backwards, wincing at the pain coursing through her. She knew it would fade, however, so she dealt with it. She was no cry baby. Standing back up, the Oshawott fingered her scallop. "You're gonna get it!" she snarled, suddenly fired up. Launching another Fury Cutter attack, the otter-like pokemon dashed towards the Pikachu in quite the fury.

Vanilla took advantage of the fact Nate was on the ground and decided on her next move. She figured it would take longer to KO the guild member, so instead she went with another Attract attack. She twisted neatly in a circle, winking as she sent a flurry of pink hearts flying at the Pikachu. Come on Kawa! Keep him distracted and we'll have him charmed in no time...

Nate took the attack, not being able to move in time out of the way, and fell on the ground. Shortly after falling on the ground, he noticed the hearts coming. He was hit by the hearts, and became infatuated with Van, not able to do anything.

Replacing the shell back onto her stomach, Kawa plodded up to Nate. "There now. Not so scary now are ya?" she sneered at the infatuated Pikachu. "Alright then Van. Let's take what he's got and run?" she suggested, keeping one eye on the Guild Member at all times.

Vanilla nodded and walked up to the infatuated Pikachu. "Sorry guildee but your items belong to us now." She said and shuffled through his bag. A lovely pink scarf was the first thing she found. "Ohhhh, look at this!" She said, staring at it with adoring eyes. She did have a soft spot for ribbons and scarves. "You see anything else in there Kawa? Let's take it and scatter before he snaps out of it."

Nate, feeling helplessly in love, took out an oran berry. "Here, take this too!" he eagerly suggested, and gave Van the berry.

Kawa couldn't hold back her amusement at this. She reined in her laughter to a small chuckle and then turned to Vanilla. "Alright then, let's get outta here. His bag's empty now." With this, she took off, pausing as she reached the first bush. She couldn't help it. Turning her head to peer over her shoulder, she stuck out her tongue at the Pikachu. Following this, she took off her scallop and put it in front of her face as if it was a fan, doing for the first time what would become a signature thing for the Outlaw. She then continued on her way, running off.

Vanilla snorted, taking off with the items. She did a neat spin, disappearing into the forest. But not before saying a goodbye to Nate. "Later sucker." She said with a wicked grin and vanished into the bushes. "Hmph." She said, glancing back for a moment, the poor infatuated Pikachu would be alone in the forest by himself. She almost felt bad... She paused for a moment, hesitating and held the berry in her paws.

Vanilla sighed and pushed her way back through the bushes yet again, throwing the berry at Nate. I'm an outlaw... But I'm not that bad.. She thought and ran to catch up with the Osawott.

"Hey, wait!" Nate called to Van, but tripped. FInally coming to his senses, he got up, and realized what happened. He looked at his feet, and noticed the oran berry. Looking around, he noticed he was still on the forest, with a long trip home ahead of him. "Aww, crud." he murmured, and ate the oran berry, then started his long walk home.
