The Forming of the Team

Jake raced to the Guildmaster's Quarters. He stopped abruptly outside the wooden door. Today was the day. He looked back to see if Josie and Nate had caught up with him. The Oshawott let his gaze wander around, and he marveled at the various berry-paintings decorating the walls. One showed two Pokemon-black and white-facing off in battle.

"Yay! We're now an official Exploration Team! Isn't this cool?" Jake rejoiced. He could feel a surge of pure excitement running through his little body. he jumped up and down like a Spoink, doing somersaults ever so often.

Swablu smiled and flew over to a hook on the other side of the room, there were numerous treasure bag's hung on the hook. She picked one up in her small claws and dropped it in front of the newly named Team Stormblaze.

Josie looked down at the bag that had been placed before their team."What's this?"

Sapphire Gold stepped forward. "Your treasure bag. You can carry items in it. As your experience as an exploration team increases, so will the size of your bag. There's also your badge, which marks you as a team. And your Wonder Map. . . . Which is, basically, just a map."

"Ooh, hey, Josie open the bag! Could there be something in it?" Jake spoke excitedly. He felt that Josie should open it up, since she was the Leader. He looked back and saw a few shadowed Pokemon looking in. he ignored them and looked back at Josie.

"Ok" Josie slowly opened the bag to find a wonder map and a badge.

OOC: Shouldn't there be like, three ribbons/bows?

IC: Jake picked up the wonder map and looked it over curiously. "Hm.....doesn't seem to have anything on it-" the map suddenly glowed and places and landmarks started to appear on it. "Yikes!" he exclaimed before dropping it on the ground. When it went blank again, the Oshawott picked it up. "Now I know why it's called a Wonder Map." he scratched his head nervously and chuckled.

OOC: Can't I twist how the wonder map works a bit?

[Sure i like that way better than a plain map I'll include that idea in my story as soon as i find my memory stick.]

Swablu smiled and went to fetch a ribbon for each of them. Since you are actually supposed to start with a ribbon each but there is no way of guessing how many pokemon are gonna be in the next team you register XDD
She dropped a Joy Ribbon, Sky Blue Ribbon and a Magenta Ribbon in front of them.

[if i knew your fave colours id have used them for the ribbons.]

"The ribbons will come in handy if you each hold one. It's up to you to decide who holds which," said Sapphire Gold.

Josie looked at the ribbons strangly."Ok,so who wants to hold this one,"she picked up the Sky Blue Ribbon.

Jake marveled at the sight of the ribbon. Somehow, it was drawing him near, and an invisible feeling seemed to flow over him. The Oshawott fell into a trance and kept staring at it. He mumbled something even he couldn't decipher, and kept staring at it in awe. He dropped the Wonder Map-again.

The Swablu chuckled, "I think the Sky Blue Ribbon would be at its best if worn by Jake."

Josie nervously watched Jake stare at the ribbon."Um ok then...." she handed the ribbon to Jake."Nate,do you want to wear this one?" she picked up the Joy Ribbon.

Jake snapped into reality and took the ribbon. He wore it on his neck and smiled. "I like this one!" he said.

"Uh, sure." Nate said, afraid of the possibility of having a reaction similar to Jake's. Nate took the ribbon and put it on. The ribbon felt warm in his hands, somehow making him think of every good memory he had. He couldn't help from smiling, and put the ribbon on. "I like this ribbon." he said, smiling.

"That leaves the Magenta Ribbon for you!" Chirruped Swablu.

{LOL this was the way i was intending the ribbons should be when i created them xD}

Josie smiled,and tied the ribbon around her neck."Ok,so what should we do know?"

"Well, you might want to check out the Job Bulletin Board. Easier jobs are marked E, and probably take place in Pecha Forest."

Swablu smiled at Josie. "I can get someone to give you a tour of the guild facilities if you like."

Josie nodded to Swablu,"Yes please.We could use a tour of the guild,right Jake?"

Swablu nodded then dissapeared out of the Guildmaster's chamber and returned a short while later with a Snivy. "This is Laurel. She's leader of Team ShadowFern and has been training with our guild for a while now. She'll be able to tell you everything there is to know about us!"

Laurel grinned, "Pleased to meet you!"

"Hi there! I'm Jake." Jake greeted. He had picked up the map and put it in the treasure bag, which he was carrying, and had also worn the Sky Blue Bow. It seemed to radiate power, and gave him renewed strength.

"I'm Josie!Nice to meet you." Josie smiled as she gretted the snivy.

"So... Where do you want to start? I can teach you about the job bulletin boards first if you like," she replied cheerily.

"Sure!" Josie replied happily.
