Sunlight Shadows

A dark figur walked through the forest as if searching for something. The wolf's yellow eyes peirced through the Dark forest scaning for any signs of life. His ear on alert for the smallest sound. Where are you Nee-chan? he thought.

"How queer" Iris meowed. "They had better not interfere with my flying practice" her fur bristled and she spat in disgust

"You won't go flying untill I say it's ok to go!" Shadow snapped, he was worried about the kits safty and all she could think about was prctice flying.

Iris sighed. "But i need to learn how to fly well sometime Shadow!" she protested.

"Well now is not the time. We have to get out of here." the black wolf said. He looked around and found a hollow tree for them to hide in. Once inside he used a Darkness attack, "Protactive Shadows." he whispered as his eyes began to glow and the forest became as black as the night with no moon and no stars.

Iris's eyes grew wide. "Wow." she meowed in awe.

"Iris stay very close understand. I don't want you to get lost in this." Shadow warned the kit while scaning the area. (He is the only one who can see in this)

"O-okay." The cream kit huddled closer to the wolf, burying her nose in his thick fur. "You'll save me from those things right?"

Shadow looked at the kit with his yellow eyes, "I will never let anything happen to you Iris. If anything were to happen I would search for you." the black wolf said with kindness in his voice.

Iris purred. "Good." she let out a huge yawn, her small jaws stretching wide. "nnnggh i'm tired. Can i sleep?"

The black wolf looked at the kit with gental eyes, "Yes I'll wake you when the monsters are gone." he said. He layed down beside her but kept on alert.

Curling up in a small ball, the cream colored she cat rest her nose on her paws. "Goodnight Shadow." she dozed off, purring quietly in her sleep. Her wings gave a rustle every now and then but otherwise she was almost perfectly still. The gentle rise and fall of her stomach was one of the only signs that she was even alive
