Sunlight Shadows

A dark figur walked through the forest as if searching for something. The wolf's yellow eyes peirced through the Dark forest scaning for any signs of life. His ear on alert for the smallest sound. Where are you Nee-chan? he thought.

The lithe body of a cream colored cat slipped through the trees. "Is that you?" she meowed, not keeping her voice down at all. Her feathered wings were folded down but they still ruffled against the sharp wind that was blowing.

"What are you doing here, Iris? It's dangerous here." the young Leader said to the winged cat. He turned to face her.

"Sorry." The young she cat pinned her ears back, making the cutest face probably ever seen. "I was looking for you. I'm cold tired and hungry" she complained

Shadow sighed, "Alright, We need to get more pack members. I was also looking for someone." the black wolf told the cat.

"I'm coooolld" Iris whined, nuzzling into the wolf's fur for warmth. "Feed meeeee"

Shadow chuckled, "It is cold. What would you like to eat little one?" he asked the small kit. He wraped his tail around her.

"Hmm...Well a nice fat mouse sounds rather good right about now" She gave a bright smile a purr.

"Ok Let's see if we can find one. Now remember its Snow-fall so prey is scarce." Shadow said to Iris. He looked around for any tracks.

Iris nodded, crouching down and sniffing around. "Whats that smell? Its nothing i've ever scented before." Suddenly a bright white flake fell onto her nose, melting instantly. "Brrr! Thats cold! What is that!?"

Shadow laughed, "I did say that is was Snow-fall. That small white thing is called snow. And it gets very cold when it is on the ground so be careful." he told the kit.

"Ohkay." She meowed. She began to leap on top of the growing fatter white flakes, letting out a purr of delight every time she leapt upon one.

Shadow chuckled at the kit's playfulness. She was like his sister when they were little. The wolf looked up and saw a peice of fruit he jumpped up and grabbed it with his mouth. "Where you go Iris it's not mouse but it will fill you up."

"Hmm.." Iris gave the fruit an experimental poke. Taking a bite she chewed thoughtfully. "Not half bad" she meowed finally. Shaking her wings suddenly she let out a shiver. "I need to warm up my wings!"

"Keep them tucked in for a while then spread them out." Shadow explained.

"Okay" The cat tucked her feathered wings close to her body, burrowing into a pile of stubborn leaves that refused to leave even after the time for the falling leaves had passed.

Shadow's ears twiched. He quickly picked up the smakk kit and ran inside a bush. He peaked his head out ot se Hellicopters flying over head. "Keep quiet Iris." he whispered.

Iris's eyes grew wide. She soundlessly nodded and shook gently in the brush.

Shadow ran out of the bush and flew up twoard the helicpoture. Thinking quickly he stayed behind them not fully sure of what they were doing.

Iris watched as the wolf dashed out of the under growth. She trembled even more as he caught up with the helicopter.

What are they up too? the black zenar thought. Just then a strang thing came down from the bottom of the helicaopture (Net launcher). Shadow tilted his head in confusion as the thing shot something at him. He swerved out of the way just in time to see that it was a net.

"Shadow!' Iris wailed, clamping a paw over her mouth as the words spewed uncontrollably.

Shadow grunted as he saw a human come out on the side of the helicopture. Quickly he flew down to get to Iris. He scooped up the kit in his mouth and ran further into the forest.

Iris hung helplessly from the wolf's mouth. "Shadow what are those things?" she asked, her voice quivering. "Those furless things. What are they?"

"They are called Helicoptures. Two-walkers use them to fly in. They are also very dangeruos." the wolf said to Iris as he kept running through the forest.
