Soiled berries

Honey had been returning to Grassviel, her sack brimming with berries. A heavy rain had settles in, and she was now running to Wisp's shop.

Wisp had been waiting, a very large umbrella, sheltering her from the heavy rain. I swear, that lopunny is as good as a plain seed, she thought, letting out a sigh. As Honey arrived, she was out of breath,"Sorry," she said between a pant," I was taking my time, and trying to pick the ripest ones." She spilled out the contents of her drenched sack, only to find the berries squished and useless."B-but," she stuttered, picking up the berries.

"Useless!" Wisp began to throw a fit,"I knew you would come empty-handed again!" she shouted, packing up her remaining stock."Because of you, I had to sit here in the rain!"

"Oh.." She spoke almost silently,"Do you want me to help with that?" she asked, picking up a berry.
"No! I can handle it by myself!" Wisp snatched the berry and headed back to her home, dragging along a cart crammed with boxes and sacks of berries. Honey let out a sigh and sat on a bench, not caring if she got wet or not.

"Well," she began,"You must make sure that they aren't bruised as the berry will become mushy, and the flavor will differ. The ones on the ground aren't edible, as they probably have had wurmple and other bugs nibbling on them. Make sure that the berry isn't too hard once you pick it from the trees, as those ones aren't ripe yet. He brown ones are too ripe, so don' take hose either. You should also make sure that you only pick the pinkest o he pink pecha, as those are the flavorul ones. Anything else?" It was a long list, but Honey wNted to make sure that Wisp's customers were content with the berrues she sold.

"Nope, thats fine."
She coiled her way up onf of the trees then inspected each and every Pecha Berry on one of its branches. She found two that met Honey's conditions and gently picked them.

Honey rapidly moved from tree to tree. Her eyes were trained for this kind of thing. Her pack was only filled wih five. She was going to search for other berries on their little trip.

With the Pecha berries in tow, she slithered over to honey and put them in the bag. "Hope those are okay." she smiled.

Honey examined each of he berrues closely, one by one. She picked out two that didn't have a nice, soft texture and tossed them away."Good," she said,"You'd make an excellent berry harvester." The lopunny turned around and began to tread along, in sonewhat of a hurry. She noticed an unusual plant and walk over to it, examining the berry that grew from it's vines."Hey Cobalt," she called, waving a paw,"Come take a look."

Cobalt slithered over. She had found one more that fit the description and put it in the bag. "What berry is it?" she asked.

"I've never seen this berry before, other than in books. Hm..." She began to think, soon figuring it out, even with her forgetful self."Oh yes! It's a watamel berry, they are good ingredients for poffins, if you've ever heard of them."

"Ive heard of them, yes..." she replied. "Is it good enough to put with the rest of the berries?"

"Well.." she replied, noticin that there was only one berry on the single vine."It looks a little bit to the premature side, but after all, this is a rare sight." Honey picked up the rather heavy berry."I'll hold it he rest of he way," she said," The skin looks tough enough to withstand being placed on the ground repeatedly. Alright, let's go!" She shouted, hurrying herself along.

She nodded then slithered off, continuing her hunt for pecha berries.

"I think we've gkt enough pecha berries now. Let's go drop these off at Wisp's bery stand. She should be back, now that the rain has stopped." Honey moved on, towards Grassviel."But we'll also have to go hunting for Cheri berries if that's okay with you." She said, looking back at her friend.

Cobalt noded, "Thats fine.... What about our bargain with Tobi?"

"Oh yes," she said, relieved that Cobalt had reminded her of the childish shop keeper."Let's head their first."

The Dragonair nodded, then slithered ahead, heading for Tobi's stall.

As they arrived at Tobi's, Honey noticed that the delcatty was now stretched out across the counter top, his eyes watching as the two neared. He let ou a yawn and leaped down."You got he berries?" Honey nodded, not speaking a word as his eyes strained on her standing figure. She simply handed Tobi about four berries out of he sixteen. The sack stayed with her, as they would practically have given him the berries for nothing."Alright let's go," Honey turned to Cobalt, still finding Tobi a little scary.

The Dragonair nodded and hastily slithered away. "WHere are we going next?"

"We have to travel to Shadowhue, there are cheri berry plants growing in that area." She replied. She then began to march forward, expecting Cobalt to be following along.

The Dragonair nodded and followed the Lopunny. "Should I look for berries that are perfect again, like the pecha berries?"

"Yes, bu this time, just make sure that they're red," she giggled with a smile. The shadowed forest wasn't the ideal place that you would find a coward like Honey, but she took her berry picking seriously.

"Of course." she chuckled as they made their way into the forest.

Honey i spected the area hey tread. She looked out for Heri berry, yet oher pokemon and outlaws at the same time.

The Dragonair spotted a bush and swiftly slithered over to it. She insepected the few berries that were ripe, and found three that seemed to meet the conditions Honey had set. Cobalt gently picked them and slithered back over to where Honey was looking, to show her them.

Honey elegantly wisked one last cheri berry into her basket, making a total of three. She picked up the watamel,"That should be enough for today! Let's go bring these to Wisp." She said, walking out o Shadowhue, the suspicious atmosphere was overwhelming.

Cobalt grinned, "Awesome! DO you think Wisp will be happy with them?"

"Well..she can be a little picky, but I think she'll like these!" Honey reassured herself, but soon began to doubt and worry again.
