A dark past

Adam was walking around the mansion and saw Debs, Adam felt bad starting a fight with Debs so Adam had to say he is sorry to Debs. "Hey Debs!" Adam said coming up to Debs. "Look i'm sorry for starting a fight with you i was too Stressed out and I couldn't control my emotions."

Debs yawned he hadn't gotten much sleep the night before, nightmares had kept him up though he'd never admit it considering it seemed childish. He walked threw the mansion bored out of his mind when Adam had walked up to him as he did Debs balled his fist expecting a round two after they're fight that left the study in a burned ruins. He blinked stunned for a moment then straighten himself up finding that he respected the lad a little more now. " here." He said taking his pack of cigarettes to Adam. " I'd suggest smoking that's how I keep it together." he said on a lighter tone.

Adam looked at the pack cigarettes and Adam puts them into his pocket. "Thanks Debs." Adam said in a calm voice, but Adam doesn't really smoke but Adam don't care.

" no problem." He assured. As he himself smoked his own cigarette.

Derek's voice came on on the intercom, "Deds, Adam, come on down to the control room. We got a job." he said.

"A job?" Adam smiled. "Finally something to do I was getting board."

"hmp damn straight you got a job for me! I was just about to complain we weren't getting enough work done!" Debs added as he sped walked to the control room.

"Hey guys," Derek said, "You know the drill by now, you ready?"

Adam nods his head. "Yeah i'm ready!"

" Ready as ever." Debs agreed as he walked threw the time portal, his body started to tingle as it normally did when they traveled but that was the most of it. He closed his eyes as he entered threw the portal he had made the mistake of keeping them open before and hurt his eyes from the brightness.

Adam steeped through the portal and saw that he was at Yale, but Adam wondered what time he was in. "Hey Derek what time is it here?"

Derek walked through and noticed they were at Yale, "How am I supposed to know?" he asked.

" I'd guess we weren't too far back." He said opening his eyes. " After all Yale's been around a while but by the looks of it we're in a realitivly modern Yale." He tried his best to answer Adam's question.

"Thanks Debs." Adam looked around and saw two couple's with red hair just like Adam's hair and saw a gut in a black robe. "Wait I know this day its March 16 2002." Adam said in a stressed out voice.

Derek looked at Adam's changed expression, "Adam how do you know that?" he asked.

Adam looked at Derek. "Thats the day mine and my sister parents died and that guy in the black robe killed them I want to stop him bu.... but I can't."

Debs took a sharp intake of breath at that news. Man, to think we'd end up here at this time. Debs laid a hand on Adam's shoulder. " di sopra delle tentazioni my friend, it's good to let yourself know what you want but not get caught up in it." He warned Adam.

Adam look at the man in the black robe and saw blue fire coming out of his hands with blue aura around him and with a scent of a rose and shot fireballs at his mom and dad then man in the black robe ran away. "Wh..what n..no that can be how is that possible?" Adam got on his knees. "That couldn't been me I would never do that."

"Calm down Adam," Derek said, "We don't know for sure wether or not thats you." he said.

"this is a couple years ago correct? It can't be you, your not awakened at this point in history." Debs reasoned he started to follow the cloaked person. " Come on Adam we'll tail the perp, Derek stay here so we know what happens." He said as he headed out hoping Adam was following.

Adam got up. "Yeah your right Debs." Adam followed Debs to the wrong past to fix it.

"Good luck," Derek said. He then started looking at the scene that was around, it was pretty easy because of the commotion started by the murder.

As Debs stepped out of their normal area he felt that feeling like a record skipping and he stood back where they had come in from only this time Derek was no longer here and he was looking to the black cloaked man again. " Alright now we watch as usual Adam." he said patiently

Adam looked around for the man in the black robe couldn't find him. "Wait where is the man in the black robe?" Adam looked around and saw a black robe with black boots and gloves on the floor that was about it. "Wait this isn't right I can't I won't." Adam said while confused.

Derek watched the scene in the correct past quietly, "No matter what happens this isn't going to turn out good," he said.
