A New Threat?

Tal-rasha was at the alchemy lab down at the cistern, she had been trying to make some new recipes for the guild members

Ka' dropped down from the ladder leading into the cistern as well. He had the Thieves Guild stuff on as he'd gotten used to it. He was ready to start a new day of thieving and stealing. "Good morning Rasha." He said to her. As he walked over. No contracts for him yet. He might actually have to go get one.

"Morning" she smiled at the khajiit and finished creating her poisons

Mercer called them "You two, get over here" he shouted to them sounding quite serious

Ka' turned to see Mercer yelling to them and raised an eyebrow. "What now...?" He mumbled to himself. He walked over to the bossy leader of the Thieves Guild.

Rasha walked to mercer

"we got some a hint on who frames black briars son, theres this strange symbol on the letter 'apparently' from black briars son admitting to a murder, which he didnt commit" he shows them the strange symbol

Ka' looked at it closely. "So? There are a lot of cut throats out there. And the BlackBriars aren't the most well liked." He didn't see anything strange besided the ominous emblem they left instead of a signature.

"This may be true, but this strange symbol has been seen at many other places, such as the person who bought goldenglow estate, its as if they're trying to put us out of business..."

Rasha stayed silent

Ka's eyes widened. "Well then I guess they are a problem." He rethought that over. "Any idea who they are?" He asked Mercer. If anyone knew than he should've. He knew everyone that the Thieves Guild ripped off or assoiciated with.

"Sadly, no... we have a few leads and thats where you come in" he looked at the symbol again "It seems as if they want us to capture them..." he muttered

"Why would they want that?" That didn't make any sense. If you don't want to be captured then you use an alias. If your using something even more exotic like a symbol than..."What does this have to do with us then?" He was no investigator, and he only had an iron sword if he was meant to kill them.

" I want you two to head to Falkreath and speak to Ranier Ferus (Random made up name) he has made contact with this person, so i want you to question him and get the information out of him... anyway possible"

"I suppose..." He looked to see what Rasha's view was. She had been silent through the conversation so far. Maybe she was in deep thought about...something?

She looked at the seal I've seen this before... but from where...? she then looked up towards Ka' "We need to find out who is doing this..."

"Then we're off to Falkreath...Lets hope I don't run into my old boss." It might've sounded like he was joking, but he was honestly hoping he didn't. There would be a lot to explain...or lie about.

"Okay, lets get prepared as soon as possible" she didnt know much about Falkreath, luckily Ka' was going with her

Ka' nodded and went to get ready. A regular pair of clothes was all he needed this time..and maybe the sword. He came out a minute later looking like he did when he came to Riften. He just got his sword though so he sheathed it. He looked around for Rasha.

She got on her normal clothes, and had a bow and a few poisons, just incase things got nasty he spotted Ka' and waved "Ready to go?"

"Yes. We should get going before he tries to skip town." He climbed up the ladder and exited into Riften. As he waited for her he talked down to her, "We should take my delivery route. Its fairly fast and people won't recall us buying a carradge to Falkreath right before someone...dissapeared. If it gets that bad that is."

she climbed uo "Good idea, your the one who's been there so i guess i'll follow you" she adjusted her clothes "It wont get too bad. trust me"

"Lets hope." He exited through another back gate of the city. No one paid them much mind. For a few miles everything was find. Then Ka' stopped. "Do you here that?" A sickening squish like sound was heard along with thumps. "Frostbite spider." He pulled out his sword. It was good it wasn't nighttime or else it could ambush them. He looked around for it, it must've crawling up over a hill.

she took out her bow and a bottle of poison , she dipped an arrow into the poison and coated it "Im ready for anything"

Ka's ear flicked. He pushed Rasha to the ground and also hit the ground himself. A large ball a liquid poison flew over them. It landed somewhere in the woods to their left. He located the spider. It was now tromping down the hill. A large spider, about three feet around. A small one. He stood back up and moved forward towards the angry arachnid.

She hit the ground "What the-!?" she stopped when she saw the ball of poison fly over them "Oh.. thanks" she got up and shot the poisone arrow at the spider, it hit but it didnt kill it as it stopped for a second and kept on moving

Ka' advanced faster. As he closed in it used it frontal legs to club at him. Luckily it was far off, because the ends were pointed and could cut. They were very deadly creatures not that he thought of it. He slashed it down the middle and it crunched through the armor. He yanked it out and it still tried to moved but the arrow pushed in deeper once it did and it died. Ka' looked at his sword now covered in green blood. He used a leaf to clean it off. Then he went to retrieve the arrow for Rasha, but it snapped when he tried. "Uh...sorry."

"Its ok, i've got about 6 more" she smiled walking up to the spider, and using a dagger ripped the sac away from the spider and put it in her bag "The venom is a lethal poison, so this will be useful"
