The mountain that used to be Luke's had frosted over after Zash and his group had slayed the foul beast he had been unable to maintain the place and it had become a winter wasteland. Crrrrrr tiny spiderweb cracks started to appear in the air just above the ground by Luke's body which had been eaten away to bones. Crrrrr-crack a tiny section of the air slipped and dropped like it was solid and shatter as it hit the ground before becoming air again and blowing away. Someone stepped out and onto the cool earth. Around him the snow seemed to instantly melt away and the grass that was below it look bright green like it had just been hit with wonderful sunshine. The brown leather cape he was wearing billowed in the late night breeze. His right hand was bandaged over with a leather strap wrapping threw his fingers and buttoning back up at the palm keeping the bandages in place. He tipped up his leather cap and the moon of this diminsion shown on his face. His right eye was bandaged over the wrapping circling diagionly wrapping the entire right upper corner of his face. He had very loose and puffy brown leather pants and he wore a skin tight black under armor shirt.

He started to walk his steps giving his sun effect to the snow around him like he was a blazing sun in this cold barren dimesion. His red aura burned around him and the soft scent of cherry blossoms left it's mark. His steps were heavy and with purpose he needed to be somewhere soon. with a swing of his cape the slip in dimesion was closed the dimesion sealed off he kept on wordlessly across the land Luke had made renewing it with only his steps as he did. His power was far different then three months ago thou it had been much longer for him an entire year in this dimsion's time units his aura was radiant like the sun.

Wolf thought about that for a few seconds. He cut the thought off with a new one. "Hm.." He said looking around only seeing more magi. "Do guys have any idea when the whole thing will start?" He asked them.

" Well considering were the only ones left I'd say the party already started." Zash said looking around no one was left around. Zash took a breath. " Well bye guys I'll see you after the prelims." And with that a flash of light took Zash away almost like he had done it himself.
Jessi flinched at the light and stumbled back. " Prelims?" He asked and then the light took him away.

Zash opened his eyes after the flash he was in a castle or a keep. He walked around the courtyard of the wide astablishment the sounds of battle were all around him. "Prelims this is how they thin all of them out huh?" Zash said to himself. Chuck us all in one big place and see who's left? Zash thought to himself this place was probably a whole dimsion in it's own he wouldn't be seeing Jessi or Wolf he guessed.

Jessi opened his eyes he was in the castle armory he broke down the steel door with a ghost gauntlet punch and then dismissed the power and started walking the long halls.

Wolf was taken away not even a second after. He was on top of a large watch tower. A castle of some sort it looked like. Was this where the magi would fight? He was expecting more of a one on one areana fights. He was kind of dissapointed. But they put no trap door on the base. He stomped sending a large shockwave of arid ice particles. It was new kind he'd learned. It basically weathered the object like it had been frozen by artic winds for year. It crumbled under him and he fell to the second floor with an actual stairway.

" Look at little mister come get me." A familiar voice shouted down too Wolf. She jumped off her wind pocket and plummeted down to Wolf " Catch me!!!" June squalled as she fell.

Zash crossed his arms and looked around him. "Well how did this happen I was only here for a few seconds how did I already draw such a big crowd?" Zash tilted his head as thou to ponder this he had been surrounded in seconds by a random assortment of thugs and powerful magi.

" GO!" The leader of the group shouted.
Zash out stretched his arm and a pillar of flames shot from the ground Zash's hand grasped the leather sword hilt and he pulled his new magic sword from the flames with one sword stroke he stopped the attackers all instantly were cover in cuts and burns. Zash's new sword was of a strange design it was a long blade maybe 3 or so feet long it had an empty middle of the blade a straight shot down of nothing that was filled in with a chain. It was double edge and of a black metal forged in the pits of Zash's soul like any other magic sword. " Well Oblivion you made an entrance!" Zash said talking about the blade.
Zash's body reacted he didn't think it was all reflex when his body had sense the static in the air it had moved his sword coming behind his head as a foot of someone came to knock Zash's head off it was outlined in white lighting. " Well isn't this new!" The attacked commented as he kicked off the sword with his other foot anf flipped over Zash and to his front his entire shape was outlined in white lighting. " Hey my name's raiko ibana." He greeted.
He had a long face and his hair was sprayed around crazy and stood on end like he had just been struck by lighting. He wore black dress pants and rucked in white shirt like a half hearted attempt to look proper. " Nicd ta meet ya I'm Zash!" Zash extended a hand which he cover in flames to counter Raiko's lighting and the two shook.

Jessi walked the halls he couldn't sense anyone in the castle but that had to be a lie this was the prelims so everyone would be fighting right? Jessi stuck his hands in his pockets and sighed he wasn't famous or anything if people were just picking fights he was all alone he guessed.

Wolf looked up into time to be crushed by June. Well not exactly crushed, he halfed caught her but mostly crushed. He caught her soundly but he landed flat on his back after being knocked down. He got her to where he moved her off to his side as he nearly broke his back. He moved her like that because he knew she was crafty and tricky. She might blow him clear out of the building. He grunted and sat up, "Oh hey." He greeted.

" Hey wolfy!" She said with a wide grin. She sat cross legged next to Wolf now. She was in a white sun dress her hair had grown out even longer then before now it reached a ways down her back she let the illusion of her sight eyes fall and she looked blind as she did when she could truely see.

After a little hand grabbing contest of who could squeeze hard the took stop shaking. Zash looked at him as the lighting around him shot all across his body his smell if you could call it that it was more like a feeling was that of static in the air.
Raiko threw two more quick kicks that Zash blocked with oblivion which he found strange that his lighting shield made his kicks like swords themselves that clashed with Zash's blade. " I like you," Raiko said as his onslaught kept on and Zash kept countering with one hand furiously but not with too much effort. " Your gonna fight me in the finals!" Raiko said with a grin. Zash paused for a second he threw a kick from the right Zash stabbed in he was quicker it would reach first he knew this and Raiko did too as the sword hit the lighting outline of him raiko was forced off balanced and Zash hit with a hard left that left his hand numb. He was sent off his feet and he landed on his left shoulder in the ground. " Ha see your good you were able to hit me!" He said like he was convincing Zash. " We're gonna fight in the finals!" He proclaimed again.

Jessi sighed as he walked on then he paused he heard something something familiar it was an instrument one he knew an ocarnia. As he heard it the whole hall was layer with ice and walls started to close in on him he summoned his gauntlet and crushed the ice instantly with a wave of his arm. " Hey virgina!" He greeted as he saw her in front her after he had cleared the ice walls.
She lifted the ocarnia from her lips. " Sorry Jessi I didn't know it was you." She apologized her firey orange locks were banded together in a pony tail she wore a simple green shirt with light blue jeans, her purse slung over her shoulder.

Wolf got up a little achingly then straightnened himself out. "Glad you made it." He small talked.He could sense an aura under them, so he warned June depite her probably knowing. "Get ready." He made the ground shudder and it collapesed under aging to freezing stone. It crumbled and buried the person under its debris. Wolf fell and landed on his feet. He saw the hand sticking out though. He moved over and pushed some of the rocks away so they could breath. If he didn't need to kill he wouldn't.

June lightly floated down next to him and skipped along crossing a yard in a single bound She moved differently then before she moved with no limits at all by gravity or any force like if she didn't want to her feet would be on the ground. She half yawned. " I wouldn't be surprised if half the estates after you after your ice show crushing two floors." She said more teasingly.

Zash blinked . " Sorry I already promised some people I'd have battles with them if we fight we fight but come first." Zash answered
Raiko got up, Zash watched him he knew he didn't take his eyes off him he didn't even blink but he still couldn't keep track of him he was behind him already Zash turned He was walking away. " All you have to do is stay in and it'll all work out." Raiko assure and jumped onto the courtyard wall leaping off into other parts of the keep.
Zash's eyes fell to his sword lying on it was a card half cut into the blade Raiko had left it he knew it was his way of saying he could have taken Zash out right there but he wanted to fight him in the tournament. " things are interesting already." Zash grinned and walked along.

Jessi ran a hand threw his hair. " No prob, but what's up with the castle we just got dropped off in this place is the tournament really being held here?" Jessi had not been expecting a free for all battle royal he was expecting brackets and arenas.
" This is just prelims they weed out weak magi and then they take the tops into the actual tournament." Virgina explained.

"Wouldn't be the first time someone was." He replied as he looked around the small room. He spotted a stair case in the left side of the room. "I'll be taking the stairs from here." He made his way going down the tight staircase. He reached the next featurless room.

June followed behind him jumpily wanting to pass him up and move on with her light foot work and easy moves but also wanting to stay behind to let Wolf handle anything that came up.

Zash dismissed Oblivion and walked the courtyard into one of the dining areas there was a wide varity of food on the table all still hot like it had been freshly prepared and then abounded. Zash sat no point fighting or wondering an empty castle on an empty stomach he started to eat.

Virgina walked her foot steps were heavy and with purpose Jessi could tell she was up to something he followed alongside he guessed he was the heavy hitter now like he had always been that was fine Virgina was more a support type anyways.

They passed through a few more floors until the next mage showed himself. He spun around paniced and shot a barrage of fire balls at them. He made the air dense and thick in front of them. The flames sizzled out in front off them. He actually made it cold enough to where the oxygen wasn't usable. Then he pushed forward the wave. The fear exploded into him as he couldn't breath. Then he used that cold to pelt him with hail until he crumpled and fainted.

June frowned as Wolf mercilessly pelted down the enemy mage it was ruthless almost evil it was something she'd expect Zash to do not Wolf he had always been the more fair hearted one, less villainous and ruthless he had been more caring and compassionate and something else with her blind eyes she could something dark stirring deep within Wolf it had left a mark now painting his aura with a sickly darkness that didn't show in color but was still very much there. She followed silently.

Zash had soon ate his fill he raised stuffed and heard a voice speak from fair out in the dining hall which was a very long hall now that Zash looked at it again. Zash stood he could see the mage way down the hall shouting but he didn't say anything important to Zash and he snapped his fingers and silver flames devoured him. The mage went into a spazing fit and then hit the ground unconscience his body didn't show burn marks but his auras was exhausted from him. Zash licked his lips he should have eaten some of his aura he was hungery.

Virgina played another tune on her ocarnia and the castle's stone shifted and wall over looking another courtyard not the one Zash had been in. Jessi leaned out and looked outside as he did Virgina kicked him in the but and he fell over the side. " WHat the heck!!!??" JEssi yelled up when he hit the ground. But Virgina wasn't at the hole in the wall anymore. " Typical." He complained and got up dusting himself off.

Wolf lowered his hand slowly. That might've been a bit harsh. It was a bit hard not to use the things he was tought though. Oh well he'd probably be alright. He carried on. Occasionally passing up an unconsious mage. Someone seemed to have gotten to them before Wolf and June did. There was another powerful mage somewhere here, and they were moving fast. It made it easier of course but that wasn't what the judges were looking for in contestants. Let others do work for them.

Zash started to wonder the castle the prelims were pointless in his opinion why couldn't they just check out the magi's aura and get acceptable magi that way. Then again he supposed cunning and smarts couldn't be sensed by an aura alone. He kept walking on seeing the occasional dead mage, some were frosted over others burnt or lashed or cut. Zash new he would be a target to mage upstarts since he himself was still considered a greenhorn mage. The group at the start was proof enough and Raiko Ibana also.

June looked around as they passed by. " Why are we in the musty castle and not outside of it?" June complained she hated being restricted inside the building she prefered the open air.

Jessi looked around he seemed alone enough he might as well hang out until prelims were over and the fights started. He sat cross legged his white aura crackled around him he heard his ghosts warning him. He reacted before he even saw him his ghost gauntlet had been at his arm before he had even called it there he raised it covering his face as a lighting enforced kick landed on it sending Jessi spinning side over side in the air the attacked raised a foot into the air and slammed down with a crushing smash. Jessi layered his magic around the targeted area and the foot dropped but it didn't contact him it still mad him smash into the ground from pushing his magic but it didn't hit him. JEssi got up pushing off the ground with his hands he was in the air he kicked at the lighting man a right kicked aim at the head he ducked under he was fast faster then Jessi he punched JEssi in the gut and he slammed against the castle wall he hadn't been able to put up his magic shield and blood dripped down the back of his neck atfer he peeled himself off the wall and stood.

Virgina had gotten rid of Jessi two magi were a bigger target then one and he could more then handle himself. She had entered this tournament to prove she was just as good as any of the boys in her.... She didn't really know what they called themselves adventures? No not really. She dismissed the thought she mostly wanted to prove she was as good as Zash and Wolf! Wolf more then Zash the fact they were both ice magi made her want to do better and be the primary ice mage to be depended on. She took her instrument to her lips and played leaving sneak attackers and random magi confused and defeated when the small flute took there aura from them leaving them to cope mentally too quickly resulting in their knock out.

Wolf scanned around every room each time the entered one. "Not sure. I don't even see why they chose a castle ." Then he found a large gaping hole in a wall. Someone thought what June did, they wanted to break out. "We can split up here if you like, you'll do better in the air." He stopped for a moment to give her a choice.

June shrugged. " I was in the air before we met up it's boring I already took out the other air mages." She said as it was no big deal she had simply owned the sky. " A castle's not a bad place it's wide enough to have one on one duels and not be intureputed, but small enough that group fights can happen. " June replied these weren't really her thoughts but she had lived threw the medieval ages and that's normally what she heard during castle sieges the most honorable of knights would duel one on one while war sieges were taking place.

Jessi cracked his neck and knuckles. " Jessi, jessi's the name what's yours?" He asked honorabley a man should always know the name of the person he kills or is killed by.
" Rai, Raiko Ibana!" He answered cheerfully. He raised his leg bent at the knee out in front of him. " You should be dead that hit shoulda killed ya." Rai said more like a statement like Jessi didn't know it and he wanted to inform him.
Jessi's gauntlet grew it was unnessacarily big now. Jessi moved his top gear had gone up majorly from the last time he had fought seriously. he was behind Raiko quickly he did a jab the magic from his ghosts blasting the gauntlet forward like a rocket. " Rocket punch!" Raiko spun on his heel and kicked away JEssi's punch it exploded with energy making a crater in the ground next to the lighting mage. He slipped his hands into his pockets and with two quick kicks to JEssi's legs he had him off balance he got a kick to the gut and jessi's legs feet left the ground he was flung back. Rai jumped and flipped in the air he was above Jessi and smashed him to the ground with another kick hopping off him he walked a few feet away and looked back to see JEssi get himself back up. " What the heck I'm sure that just broke your spine.
Jessi"s gauntlet dissappeared his power build wasn't working. " Yeah only in three places a little weak Chase woulda broke it in at least 5." Jessi brushed it off.

Zash yawned this whole castle was tiring nothing to do except bat away weakling mages. Speaking of which. Zash caught a blade with a samurai style to hand caught even thou it was a Eropuean blade. Zash sighed the swordsman attempted to kick Zash as his blade was caught but Zash twisted the blade and pulled it towards him putting the man off balance and with tat Zash swiftly ended his life with a knee to the face that snapped the poor man's neck.

Wolf looked down. Somany floors. Well there wasn't too many but he belived another powerful mage must've took all the others out so it would be unimpressive walking. "Well then..walking isn't really getting us anywhere. So meet you on the bottom." He said to her. He lept off in free fall for a bit before he nearly collided with the wall. Then a thin sheet of ice spread out fast below him making a safe track. He stuck himself to the ice and gained speed. He squinted as he made out a figure below. At how fast he was going, it would kill them easy. "Uh oh-" He cut himself off just before he obliterated the mage he veered left and made a small arch around them. Then a circle, which he kept sliding around the mage too fast for her to hit him and he went. I a few seconds she was trapped in a large bowl. Then he jumped off. He solidified it to where it was nearly hard as steel, but not really cold. Yeah, he could control his temprature. He dusted hismelf off and began walking around a large open court yard.

" Alright Jessi you've earned my respect." Raiko said rolling his shoulder.

June lightly floated down next to Wolf. " Ah fresh air!" She stretched in the open air the sun was high above them it was about mid afternoon. " How long is this gonna take!" She complained. " Honestly you think the weak ones be gone by now!" She snapped.

Raiko rushed a hard kick on Jessi's right Jessi's ribs snapped but he held onto Rai's leg with his hand. " IF your so fast I can't hit you let's see how you do if we're stuck together!" When he had finished he was greeted with a punch to the face and then the gut and then the face and then the shoulder and then the face.

Virgina had stopped laying her flute after maybe her 8th kill? She hadn't been keeping track they just dropped so fast it was hard to notice. She sighed she had went to the most frosted diminsions in the magic universe and she was stuck taking down grunts.

Jessi hadn't been fast enough to throw a punch Rai stayed with the pattern of hitting him in the face then somewhere else and then the face again. Jessi had dropped his leg after the 20th punch to the face and then he collasped to his knees hew had been hit so hard and so much that his skull had actually been ground into a fine powder. Raiko ran a hand threw his white hair and ran off assuming he had finally killed Jessi but he got up maybe 10 seconds latter. " He's gonna be rough." Jessi said aloud but dismissed it he walked along the courtyard.

Zash had made his way threw the maze of a castle to the roof of a patrol tower on one of the walls encompassing the whole castle. He looked out over the castle the area was quite like it was just the mop of crew now finishing off the rest of the weaklings. Zash blinked another man came up from the stair well he was dress in knight's gear he removed his helm and looked at Zash he wielded a great sword he bowed and held the sword in two hands and readjusted his helm back onto his head. Zash blinked, this guy's honorable I'll give him that. Zash called Oblivion.

"Maybe some are troopers." Wolf suggested. He carried on stepping over a plethera of unconcious and dead mages. "Man..."he said seeing a particular mangled body." People are harsh out here." If the magi population was going to be cut in half after this what was the point?

" Yeah. "She agreed wincing at the body. She was the worst with gore out of the group which was strange for being the oldest. " That's one bad thing people honestly flock to these and die I mean I know it's a great honor and some mages are alright dieing for it but it still doesn't sit well." SHe shudder thou when she thought about it she really didn't have a right to be talking after all she was a formiddable fighter in this she had killed off almost every other wind mage.

Zash looked at him he guessed this was a french mage they had taken up knight fighting recenty he had heard. They used magic along with their sword play like medieval knights. Weird this tournament had a lot of knightly things in it. Zash waited for him to attack first the knights aura blazed violently around he wasn't weak himself. He charged forward Zash met his sword and they clashed. the knight backed off first Zash kept on agressive not giving a chance to recover. He swung a flurry of attacks the knight did well deflecting Zash kept on in an attempt to get him tired. He had underestimated the knight's sword play as he quickly parried Zash getting the inside on the sword he stabbed. Zash as a swordsman did not want to have to use his aura to shield himself he could have easily layered his aura as a shield but that wouldn't be right instead Zash brought his foot up and used the sword as a stepping stone propelling himself into the air. The knight lept and they began to fight in mid air combat.

Right before it happened Wolf felt a disturbance. Then fragments of glass funneled from every area of the battle field and became a small tornado. Then the compacted and became a man. He had no weapon, like Wolf. He wasn't sure if June had one but she wasn't one to use them either. He had a bandage...over his lower jaw. Well it was more like a wrap. He looked straight at them as small glass shards lazily floated around him. Wolf got into a ready position. Then something wierd happened. Thed man spoke through his aura. "Yes." It boomed in the air. "Many will die for honor." He said again. And he raised his fist like he was in a fist fight. He threw a right hook that sent a barrage of sun reflecting glass shards at them.

Zash was just too quick for the knight even in the air he was able to manuver too wall the knight looked clumsy as he swung but he really moved with the weight of the sword it was masterful work really but Zash outplayed him he had a faster sword and wasn't weighed down by it as both of them touched down Zash turned to face the knight. " Zash," He said pointing to himself. " What's your name?" He asked he assumed he spoke french by the armor and sysmbol but he hoped the guy would know enough english to answer.

" Richard. " The man said his armor was spotted with red marks on his armor where Oblivion had tapped it.
" I'll remember it." Zash said.
" au revoir" The french man said and Zash whispered. " Phoenix dance: mark of death. "
Flames blossomed alone Richard's body and then rose into a giant phoenix.
Jessi turned to his right and saw Zash's display everyone in the castle should have been able to see it.
June saw the glass it was coming in quick then from way behind the man she saw a flaming fire bird appear, then she felt a light headed and a flash of light took her away from the castle as prelims ended.
VIrgina saw the flames up close she was in the neighbooring tower looking over at the flame stulpture. When the flash took her too.

Wolf and the glass man were taken away at the same time as June. He opened his eyes after ther blur and looked around. The only thing that he knew for sure, was that there was far less magi now. He wondered what happened to the trapped or unconsious.

Zash ran a hand threw his black hair it was unruly and curly after a year of no grooming, he hadn't expected that to be the last kill but it had been, and now the light engulfed him he didn't blink till it was over then the black spots went over his eyes as his visions adjusted he closed his eyes and then opened them it was a hotel looking room a high rise pent house really very expensive he was in the living room. He walked over to the mini fridge and took out a botle of wine and filled a glass for himself.

Jessi's room was not so neat and clean he was in a roach motel kinda place. He wiped himself off again brushing away imaginary dust from his pants and shirt. The back of his shirt was drenched in red blood he took it off and looked in the closet he selected a polo shirt and put it on it was a deep red it would take blood better. He put his leather jacket on as well that he wasn't getting rid of it was his trade mark.

June landed lightly in her room she had started floating almost immedaitly she had materalized in the room. She walked the room it was an average hotel nothing expensive but not cheep either she walked out onto the porch she had a view out onto the river. She let the doors wide open to let in the sun light and open air.

Virgina had ended up with a beach house that floated in the middle of the river. She looked out and saw nothing but the water. She didn't like the house it was fairly sized and all but she hated the noise of the water constantly reminding her of her inablity to swim. She played her flute to tune it out she hoped she had a choice of a better house by the end of this. " Even more waiting." She sighed.

Wolf was in a room similar to Zashes. He wasn't used to these kind of rooms. Most of the times they were in a place like this it ended up with some kind of god fight or catastrophe. He didn't bother getting anything like food or drinks, he didn't have an appetite for anything. He just waited for another call down while he stared out the window. They must've been pretty far up, he was also not a fan of heights. So lets not look down.
