Pokemon: Veil of Darkness RP (Sign-Ups)

Pokemon Trainers from around the world! You have been invited to the Akarui Nyx Battle Tournament in order to test your skills against multiple trainers and aim to be the best! However, it appears something big and sinister is going on, as you participate. What could it be?

The Tournament is situated in the region of the Caleo Region, a region near Unova, that has almost all of the world's known Pokemon inhabiting it. Trainers are free to come by boat, plane, or Pokemon *wink*, but make sure to come with the invitation, otherwise you won't be able to participate.

The template for the Pokemon is for the Pokemon you'll be starting off with. You can have a maximum of three, but cannot be fully evolved (though I'll accept Pokemon like Butterfree and Kricketune that evolve rather quickly), but can be evolved into the second stage if it has three stages. They cannot be Legendaries, Manaphy, Phione, Rotom or similar Pokemon. Also, your Pokemon must be at the appropriate level to have certain moves, just like in Mystery Dungeon RP. The highest level you can go is at level 20, so be mindful of that. One more thing, Pokemon that evolve by stones, happiness of things like that, cannot be evolved at the start. They must be done in the RP (to avoid letting someone have a Lucario, or Arcanine too early). Also, no TM moves are allowed. Egg moves are fine, but maximum of two.

Also, I will be NPCing the other trainers and characters for now. However, this may subject to change. Character limit is one for now.

Appearance: He's light-skinned, with short, shaggy ebony black hair. Adam's eyes are dark grayish blue, and set on his head are a pair of goggles, a black frame and green lens. He wears a plain white shirt under a blue sweater, as well as a pair of black pants and a pair of black sneakers with a white trim. Sometimes, he wears a navy blue armband on his wrist.

History: Not much happened in his life besides being a Trainer, so it'll be built up in the RP.

Personality: Adam is a very cheerful person, and loves battling. Though, of course he won't go around challenging others (he's not that obsessed). He is very loyal to his friends and family, and won't hesitate to back them up.

Personality: Blade loves battling as much as his Trainer, and hates to lose. Even so, he doesn't hold a grudge against those he loses to, and is his trainer' best friend.

Personality: Ellen can be a rather shy character, especially when first meeting someone but when it comes to her pokemon or battling she tends to become rather determined. Ellen is extremely loyal to her friends and family, not willing to betray them for anything. She can also be rather free-spirited sometimes and generally, her personality seems to vary.
Ellen also likes to make lines, tailored to the typing and habits of her pokemon, for when she sends them out into battle.

Personality: Lumi is a rather hyperactive pokemon who always seems to have more energy no matter what she does. When she was first caught, Ellen had a bit of trouble coming to terms with her rather different personality in contrast with Serena's calm one and so at first had trouble training her. However, trainer and pokemon soon formed a bond between friends and Ellen hasn't had trouble since, Lumi becoming a rather reliable addition to her party.

Personality: The latest addition to Ellen's team, Nightshade still has yet to get used to life with Ellen, Serena and Lumi. Nightshade is a rather stoic pokemon who doesn't seem to react to anything. She rarely interacts with anyone unless Ellen is attempting to get in some training time with the Darkness Pokemon.

A mystery of a past is a brief summary of Sayuri's life. She doesn't know what happened to her parents and probably never will. All that she remembers is waiting for a very, very, long time for her parents to return home one day. After the few months or so she ended up living alone with her pokemon who eventually brought her to live with her grandparents. During that period of solitude her only company became her closest friends and her connection with her own kind, humans, seemed to vanish.
Personality:
Sayuri is usually happy and optimistic, but she prefers to keep her emotions to herself. She usually wears a blank expression and gets along better with her pokemon. She's very timid around strangers and easy to scare.

Personality:
Sayuri's mienfoo used to belong to her mother. She is more like a sister to Sayuri and guides her along. The little pokemon also keeps her in check , although that is rarely neccessary. She and Nima sometimes quarrel, interrupting whatever is happening in their surroundings. Eventually they end up both by Sayuri's side as she begins to wander off.

Appearance (a picture will also be fine): She's basically a 12 year old version of the battle girl from the anime/Hoenn games, but with a white hooded vest over a black t-shirt and orange sweatpants instead of the more revealing standard attire XD
History (optional): Valerie's family owns a training dojo, and she's been practicing martial arts since shortly after she started walking. This has made her a strong fighter, and she spars with her own pokemon. She sees the tournament as an opportunity for her to grow stronger side by side with her partners, with the honor of possibly winning a medal as an added bonus.
Personality: Valerie is quite the tomboy, and full of energy. Her greatest idol is her brother, and her aim is to be his equal in terms of skill.

Gender: Female
Personality: Raine was found at a river bank close to the Kashi dojo by a 6 year old Valerie, making her the young girl's "first" pokemon. The pokemon had escaped from an abusive trainer, a wound on her flipper being the latest addition to her scars. The little girl took care of the pokemon's injured flipper, cleaning it and spraying it with potions bought with her pocket money. Ever since her fin recovered, Raine has been a close friend of Valerie, to the degree of not needing to be "tamed" by a pokeball. Raine could be described as the motherly figure of the group, being the oldest and most mature one. She's a decent battler, but prefers to relax in the water. (she has her own pokeball, but it's only used when she needs to be out of water for an extended period)

Personality: Even if he wasn't her first pokemon, Atlas was by definition Valerie's starter pokemon. He was given to her on her 10th birthday, along with her trainer's license. Being a proud pokemon, he initally refused to obey a "little kid", but the girl's sheer willpower eventually managed to win him over. As mentioned, he's proud and boisterous. He never misses a chance to show off his fighting skills, and more often than not needs one of his teammates to pull him back to earth.

Personality: Valerie received Keahi as an egg laid by her brother's Blaziken at the Day Care. Hatched a month before the tournament invitations were sent, she's the newest addition to the team. Keahi is still just a child, which shows in her carefree, bubbly demeanor. However, she's shown an early interest in battle, and she's expected to evolve soon.

She's a Torchic, but she''s close to evolving. Also, after she evolves Scratch will be replaced with Double Kick. Is that okay?

Personality: A bright and energetic boy, Kaze is often called a little ball of energy; otherwise known as an annoyance. However, he is fiercely competitive. Oddly enough, there are times every so often when he is calm and actually rather intelligent. All in all, the young boy is rather bouncy and resilient, so insults usually just bounce right off of him.

History (optional): Drake was born into a rich family that wanted to buy him the most powerful pokemon by bribing trainers to give them away and they did but Drake did not like that and refused to use any pokemon that was bought for him instead he caught his own and trained them. Thou he did accept money to have better things to train his pokemon with then most but that's another story.
Personality: Drake is a very friendly guy, but when he enters a battle he completely changes his attitude changes from friendly and a nice guy to a ruthless need to win he's supper competitive and will do almost anything to win. Thou if he loses he isn't a sour loser as long as it was a good fight.

Personality: Gerald is a very secretive guy, he can sometimes be seen lurking in dark coners and acting really shady. But when you talk to him, he is very kind and likes to crack jokes. He doesn't give much about himself out to others, you would usually need to pry it out of him.

Personality: Rick is a kind soul who only tends to catch pokemon whom he bonds with beforehand. He is usually cheerful and though he can sometimes come off as quiet he is not at all shy.

Gender: Female
Personality: Runa is a rather shy Vulpix who trusts hardly anyone due to her past experiences. Rick thinks it may have been abused by a previous trainer due to the extent of her injuries when he first found her. Rick is one of the only people that Runa openly trusts, though in the heat of battle she will usually try to put aside her shyness too do her best for her trainer.
Moves: Ember, Hypnosis(Egg), Hex(Egg), Quick Attack
History: Runa's name means 'secret'. This is a reference to when Richard first found her. She was only a few weeks old at most but was incredibly malnourished and was covered in small bruises and scratches. Rick knew that his parents disapproved of him keeping his own pokemon at this particular time and so he nursed the Vulpix back to health in secret. Because of this, him and Runa have always seemed to share a rather strong bond.

Personality: Whimsy is a hardworking Pokemon but is also a bit of a dreamer. When she's not in battle she will usually be fluttering around, looking the flowers and plants around her. She is also extremely friendly at much more trusting of strangers than Runa is.
