Kodiak sat in a table near the middle of the cafe, his trusty oversized club placed on the tabletop. He wasn't here to eat or relax. He was here to watch, listen, learn. He loved hearing the tales of explorers braving the odds, fighting the impossible and completing their missions. Although he didn't know many of them he admired them all. He sighed wishfully as he sank back in his chair. Someday he'll be like those guys. But he needs to be part of a team first. And before that even happens he has to sign up with a guild. His eyes and ears zoned in on a trapinch sitting at a table next to him. A Pikachu had just walked up to the Trapinch and introduced herself. Kodiak rested his chin on the table and listened with interest.
