Slipping Up

The icicles that dangled above her head were starting to make Vanilla nervous. The Minccino wasn't used to having pointy objects that could fall at a loud voice or a ground shaking attack so close to her before. She glanced around and wondered if this was a wise choice to go looking for a Pokemon to snatch something from.

Thankfully this time she had remembered her satchel. She breathed in the cold air and looked at the area. It was unusual to see icicles hanging off branches after she had just been in a sunny forest. Or at least it had felt like she had just been there.

The Joltik with his small black cowboy hat looked around himself seeing nothing but white. "How am I suppose to find Van in all of this mess?" Rayo muttered angerly trying to climb up a tree. Only a few inchs from the ground he started to slip due to the ice on the tree trunk. "I hate ice." he sighed adgusting his hat.

Vanilla searched around the base of trees for something. "Where is he?" She said as she walked around yet another tree. The Minccino's gray fur was the only thing keeping her from freezing her tail off. She felt odd walking through the white snow and picked up some of it occasionally. She never figured out what it was about it, but it always felt new to her despite how many times she'd seen snow growing up.

Rayo was still trying to get up the same tree, "I'll get up on the brench if it's the last thing I do in this Frozen Wastland!" he vowed. He was trying to spot Vanilla from the a high veiw. If only he could get up on the tree. ""Attaching Pokemon" my tail. We can't attach to ice wise guy." Rayo muttered to the one that came up with the term "Attaching Pokemon".

Vanilla was getting fed up with searching for the Joltik. She started looking for a clearing to have some space and and finally found a rock with very little of the icicles hanging about. Vanilla cupped her paws around her mouth and shouted as loud as she could. "Helloooo! Rayooooo!" She called out to the forest while balancing on the snow covered rock.

"Rayo!!" came an echo. Rayo stopped trying to climb the Tree. "Was that Van?" he asked himself. "Van where are you?!" he asked the sky.

A pokemon born and bred in the snowy landscape watched the two outlaws. Her ominous presence betrayed none of her emotions or goals. She just watched. A ghostly aura in the midst of the trees. But it was a habit of hers. She was just curious about the pokemon from outside of the forest.

"I'm over this way on a rock! HEEEEERRE!" She yelled louder. "I'm not even going to ask where he is." She said. The Joltik was small and she'd probably have a harder time finding him then he'd have finding her. She felt a slight shiver run up her spine, but disregarded it as she realized it to probably be the cold.

Rayo looked around seeing nothing but trees and snow, "What rock?!" he shouted. He felt as if someone was watching him and he looked around again seeing only snow, "I hate this place!!!!"

Vanilla was getting impatient at trying to find her Joltik friend. She let out an Echoed Voice move to smash a tree in front of her at the base which echoed through the forest to catch any Pokemon's attention. "That was probably a bad idea..." She suddenly realized. She could only imagine who would appear because of her actions.

A rather loud and shrill Froslass call rang out across the forest, following the remnants of the Echoes Voice move.

Rayo fel a soft rumbling he turned to see what it was but was blasted into a tree. "That must of been Van's Eacho Voice." he said to himself as he slid down from the tree. "Van that was stupid! Now who knows what is going to come at us!!" he shouted following the smooth snow.

"Yeah yeah!" She shouted back to him. "At least you know where I am! And the whole forest probably heard us yelling anyways! We can always scatter before they get here!" Vanilla added in. "Or better yet... Use it as an ambush perhaps..?" She realized suddenly.

Rayo continued to follow the smoothed out snow hoping to catch up to his partner. If we do run into any Pokemon we could just ambush them. In fact. Rayo stopped and used Electro web between two trees. "There now this should slow anyone down." he said to himself as he continued to walk.

A small thud announced the arrival of an Oshawott who had, moments before, been standing on a low tree branch. "Oi! Whats with all the shouting!?" she yelled. "Shut yer traps ya noisy lot!"

Vanilla turned to the other yelling voice. "Who are you? And I'll shut my trap when I want to!" She said and clenched her paws. "Why don't you come say that over here huh? All I'm doing is trying to find my buddy!" Vanilla almost lost her balance on the snowy rock as she leaned forward while her tail thrashed about.

"I hate the snow!! And I hate being so small!!!!" Rayo shouted loudly. He sent an Electro Ball into the air. "Now Van will see that and we will be able to find each other more quickly." the Joltik said to himself.

"Why youuu!" Kawa growled, cutting off as she spotted the ball of electricity. "Ay! Loudmouth! Maybe if you were paying attention you'd see that your friend is trying to signal you!"

Vanilla just barely caught the light from the electro ball and started to push through the snow towards it. "Well maybe if there wasn't some Pokemon as obnoxious as a LOUDRED yelling my ears off, I'd have seen it! Now if you'll excuse me, I have someone looking for me." She replied and called out for Rayo repeatedly.

Rayo continued to follow the smoothed out snow and eventually saw a tree. He thought for a moment and used Slash to make grips so he could climb up the tree. Why didn't I think of this before? he thought. He started to climb up the tree and got on a branch. Slowly he walked across the branch he faced the sky and shot another Electro Ball into the air.

Koori nearly rolled her eyes at all the loud pokemon. At this rate, they'd disturb the entire forest with their yelling. Despite that, she continued to watch them with curiosity, much as she did with most other visitors to the forest. The snowy white landscape as ever effective at masking her presence. It was as if she was the silent protector of the wood.

Vanilla ran towards the tree she saw the Electro Ball from. She had decided to disregard the yelling Pokemon from before as she reached the base of a tree with indentations in it. "Hey Rayo you here?" She called out. "This place is giving me the creeps, not to mention the Loudred out there somewhere."

"I'm an OSHAWOTT!" Kawa fumed, steam practically coming out of her ears. With some patters and a couple of whooshes as snow fell in great clumps, the oshawott had led herself to the grove of trees the voices had come from. Squinting, she saw something tiny and brown by the base of a tree. Just then she realized she had no clue what she was going to tell the pokemon after screeching at it. A tiny voice in her head told her she shouldn't have gotten so worked up but she ignored it. Too late now!

Rayo finnaly saw Van close by his tree, "The Oshawatt is right Van keep your voice down. You'll alert all of the Pokemon that live here know about us." he said in anger glaring at the Minccino.

Vanilla stared back at Rayo. "She's the one being rude." And with that she rolled her eyes. "And besides, it's only an Oshawott so far. We can always scatter before those Pokemon even get here. Your Electric moves gave away our location as it was anyways." She pointed out. "So why don't we move to a new location." Vanilla glanced at the Oshawott. "Who the Arceus are you anyways? You're pretty brave coming over to face a pair of outlaws like us."
