Torchwood?

Blonde hair billowed out behind a shadowy figure of a seemingly 17 year old girl. She was being chased by the most awful creatures she had ever seen, and being around 9,543, that was saying something. Tria ducked into a building, only just noticing that it said "Information Center" It was abandoned and empty. Perfect. No one would look in here, not even those awful things she had heard referred to as Gails. Tria sat against the wall, panting. Wispy fog seeped in through the doorway, the product of her magic. Standing up, she plodded along the length of the room. Only a desk and some old leaflets and postcards inhabited the space. Tria leant against the back of the desk, unwittingly leaning against a hidden button. Part of the wall on the other side of the room swung back to reveal a secret passageway. Going down a long set of stairs, Tria was astonished to see a strange, gear like mechanism protruding from the wall. As she walked closer to it, it rolled away revealing another area. She cautiously stepped inside...

Lauren was at her workstation at this precise moment in time, but froze as she heard the gear rolling and the security gates open and close behind someone as they walked in. She span around in her swivel chair to see a female with long blonde hair and blue eyes. She doesn't seem to have noticed me yet.... thought Lauren as she struggled to hide the documents and reports that she had just been typing up.

"Hello? What is this place? Who are you!?" Tria began asking a flurry of questions, the last one caused by her sighting of the girl sitting in the swivel chair before her.

Lauren got to her feet and walked towards Tria slightly. She stopped and leant on a yellow bar that prevented people from falling off the slightly higher part of the hub. "Who are you?" she asked, not wanting to give anything away without knowing about this person first.

"Tria. Tria Shin'en" (lawl i did that from memory so i bet its wrong xD) The girl flippe dher hair behind her shoulder, a neon green spark of hair quite clear in the room that is now dark because Sparkeh said so. Some fog from the outside twined between the objects around the room, as if in warning

"What are you doing here?"
Lauren tried to stay calm, but this person could be anyone. For all she knew, Tria could be trying to destroy all of her work.

"Running." Tria's eyes flashed "But i could as you the same thing"

"I have a right to be here. This is where I live." replied Lauren quietly, her voice showing no emotion. "What are you running from?"

"Gails" Tria shrugged "Those things run amok like they own the place. Their vile beasts they are" The 'teen' wrinkled her nose in distaste. "So, this is your home? How cool!" the sudden attitude change was enough to make most people believe Tria was a little odd

Lauren almost laughed good natured-ly at Tria's sudden change in attitude. "Gails are always a problem."
She stood in silence for a few seconds. "You hungry?"

Tria's head bobbed up and down and she jumped onto a desk, feet dangling a few inches off the ground. "What do you eat here? Like...cave food?" She grinned

This time Lauren did laugh. "No, silly. I eat normal food, just like everyone else. There's a small kitchen on the other side of the hub. Even I have to go shopping sometimes!"
She walked off in the direction she had indicated that the kitchen was in, "Careful not to ruin those papers." she shouted behind her.

[LOL The real Torchwood doesnt have a kitchen, they just order Pizza and other takeway meals XD]

"Sweet!" The girl grinned, leaping off of her vantage point from the desk and padding away to the kitchen. Out of sheer boredom she stopped and closed her eyes. The neon green streak in her hair glowed for a moment then disappeared. A silver glimmer of fog appeared in the room. It slowly took the form of a snake, matching a boa constrictor in everything but color and size, being slightly smaller than your average boa, and made of fog so therefor grey, silver, and white. The only speck of color on the spawn was its neon green eyes and its pink tongue that flickered in and our of its mouth as it slithered to its magician's feet. "Why hello there Sylvraria" Tria then left the snake to its own devices to go fetch some food, briefly entertained by the spawn XD

(Oh, they are... when they want to be XD)

Hæwen, who had been flying around the water tower.... at least, the underground part of it that was inside the hub, watched the spawn appear and decided to keep an eye on the silver snake.

Lauren entered the kitchen and looked around in some of the cupboards. They were all empty.
"Okay.... I forgot to go shopping..."
She sighed, "I guess its takeaway tonight... You fancy pizza?"

"Mm I haven't had pizza in around five decad- weeks!" Tria cut herself off and quickly slipped in weeks so she didnt blow her cover. "Well anyhow, im gonna check on Sylvr, she can get in to plenty of trouble on her own"

"Okay!"
Lauren ignored the slip up but noted it for future referance. She went to find a phone to order the pizza. I'll just get cheese for now. she thought.

Hæwen hovered in the air, watching the snake.

Sylvr lifted her head to look the phoenix in the air in the eyes. "Why do you watch me so closely? Do i frighten you, bird?" her voice was kind yet threatening, warm yet terrifying.

"I do not know what you are capable of." Repied the blue phoenix. "I have chosen to protect Lauren at all costs, so I would like to know who you are before I begin to trust you."

"You are wise. Very wise. Yes, i trust you with Tria. But of course, if you or your magician s much as look at her the wrong way i won't hesitate to rip both of your throats out" A smile broke out of the fog-made snakes face. "Ah Sylvr, don't harass the bird!" Tria scolded

Lauren walked back out of the kitchen, "Whats going on? Who's Sylvr?"
She noticed the snake and Hæwen. "Oh."

Tria laughed. "Yes, this is Sylvraria" She nodded towards her spawn. "Shes more useful than she looks" the blonde grinned

Lauren smiled, "Haewen is useful to I suppose. But I think of her more as a friend than a tool.... Anyhow.. pizza will be here soon. Hope its not that weird guy again... I had to retcon him last time."

Tria laughed louder this time. She knew what retcon was from some experience or another. "I'd like to meet that weird pizza guy" she gave a grin, Sylvr slithering up the back of the chair that Tria is now sitting in and curling around her magicians neck.

Lauren sat herself down at her workstation. "So.. Tria... where do you come from?"

"Oh dear...Thats a hard one" Tria thought for a moment. "Rome perhaps? Or maybe it was Spain..."
