the ripple effect

The baltoy was coming up on Sorren, he dodged, but the boltoy countered. Sorren was thrown back. "big mistake!" sorren got up, his bodey enveloped in a red aura. a flamethrower later the baltoy was down.

"i give up, you can have my seat in the mess hall." the baltoy said.

"nah, i don't want it anymore. you gave me a good fight, you even pushed me into blaze. i can find a different seat."

"thanks" and with that the baltoy was off. the crowd of Pokemon started to disperse.

Ripple padded into the room, shaking rain water off of her paws. "Gee it's like Rainfront out there!" She laughed, stopping by Sorren as she plodded into the room.

"oh hi, you came by my room when i got here, sorry i had to shove you out like that, but shaman and i were in the middle of something." Sorren said, wiping the sweat off his brow.

"Oh no its fine" Ripple smiled kindly. "I shouldn't have barged in there when i didn't know what you were doing. Not everyone likes a welcoming committee!" The Glaceon laughed, leaping about four feet in the air when a shiny ralts teleported to her side. "EEEEEEEEEEK!" she screeched, clinging to Sorren, her eyes wide with fear.

"Am i really that scary?" Kaz said, his eyes wide in shock

"what are you doing kaz?" Sorren asked, remembering there battle and the un-honorable move that Kaz had used. he took the Glaceons paws off of him.

"Ah- sorry Sorren" Ripple apologized, removing herself from the Combusken.

"I was going to talk to my Mo- Ripple" Kaz stumbled over the word 'Mom' with an embarrassed look.

"oh, right. you said you were raised by a Pokemon in the guild" sorren said. "it's ok ripple, it happens."

Ripple ducked her head in embarrassment. "What was it Kaz?"

"Oh i was just wondering if i could have a doughnut from the Mess Hall" A mischeivious grin flickered across his face.

"Oh alright. But!" She interputed the pokemon before he could run off "You have to stay with me until the sugars run off"

Kaz gave an excited nod, dashing off.

"Sorry about that" Ripple laughed. "He's real big on doughnuts"

Sorrens eyes grew wide "wait, you- your Kaz's mom?" Sorren said, dumbfounded.

"Not really his mom.. I'm not that old you know!" Ripple stuck her tongue out at the Combusken. "Laurel and I found his and his sister's eggs in Shadowhue and we've taken up the responsibility of taking care of them. Their both still quite young you know"

"that explains the childish move he used when we battled." Sorren said. " you seem to be an experienced explorer. what do you think of the new guildmaster?"

"Keyami? Oh boy he's a handful. But i think he has very noble qualities as well. Only time will tell what he can do for the guild." Ripple answered with an amused nod

"oh, i though he was a girl. at least that's what people are saying. did you know that a jirachi lives in icicle forest, apparently darkshock summoned him and set him free." Sorren said, making small talk.

"Really? All by himself?" Ripple sounded quite impressed, she sat down to listen more intently.

Kaz teleported back by his mother figure, making her jump a few feet into teh air again.

"Sorry" he apologized, stuffing the last of the doughnut down his throat

"no he said he had some help, can't remember who though." Sorren said after kaz re-appeared. "hey, do you want to battle?"

"Me or Ripple? If you find a partner we could do a team battle." Kaz suggested, a grin flashing across his face.

"Go run around the guild 10 times." Ripple ordered.

When Kaz returned his was gasping for air.

"Done with the sugar?"

Kaz nodded still huffing and puffing

"if you promise not to use the same trick as lat time then sure Kaz" sorren said. "but who should i partner with?"

"I dunno... Maybe Shaman? Orrr... I dunno" Kaz grinned

Sorren just remembered something "oh, sorry i have to go. sorry i just remembered there is somewhere i need to go, we will have to have this battle sometime later." Sorren said, running into the rain outside of the guild.

"oh. Okay. Bye Sorren!' Ripple called with a wave of her tail.

"Byeeee!" Kaz said with an effortless wave
