Birch's Next Victim

Birch stayed hidden in the shadow of a wall of greenery, waiting for some unfortunate Pokémon to wander by. Sure, this wasn't the best way to spend her time, but it was better than working for something she didn't completely need.

An Emolga glided through the wind, and happily landed on a tree branch, out of the scorching sun's rays. Emma lay down on her back, relaxing from a previous chase with some Watchogs she stole berries from. She let her gaze wander, before finally resting on an Eevee in a nearby tree. "Wonder if it's got any loot." she wondered aloud.

Birch tensed in the darkness and retreated slightly farther, careful to make no sound. This Pokémon couldn't see her before she saw it. . . . It would be best if it didn't see her at all.

OOC: What?

IC: Emma grinned slyly. So, trying to back away, huh? That's no way to greet someone! The winged squirrel Pokemon made her move. Emma glided towards the Eevee and winked at it, sending a flurry of magenta hearts in its direction. Attract was success! Now to wait and see if it's a girl or boy. Boy is awesome, but girl is trouble.

Birch chuckled at the feeble attempt to slow her down. Fine, she though. If that's how she wants to do it, that's how we're gonna do it. She used Baton Pass, taking up the Emolga's position.

OOC: Baton Pass passes on your stat changes to your team.

IC: Emma gasped at the failed Attract. So, it's a girl, eh? The Emolga chuckled and landed on a close branch. She used a Light Screen, for defensive cautions. A golden prism surrounded her, before fading away. Suddenly, she found herself where the Eevee was, and she saw the Eevee on the branch. "What?" she gasped.

OOC: But you need an ally for it to work.

OOC: Oh, then sorry.

Birch smirked at the Emolga's outburst. She leapt down from the branch agilely.

Emma narrowed her eyes in disgust. "What trick are you playing?" she asked in her trademark British accent.

OOC: Should they be partners in crime? Like Karasu and Mirlo?

(Birch is more of a loner. . . . Allies, maybe, but not partners.)

"The trick I'm playing," snapped Birch with a smirk.

"Hardly an answer!" Emma snapped back. She flapped her 'wings', creating an orb of spiraling wind, which morphed into a sharp wave of light teal energy sent hurtling towards the Eevee. That should hurt!

(That's Air Slash, right? And Birch is level 52. . . . xD)

Birch was thrown back. She grimaced from the pain of the aerial attack (even though it wasn't Aerial Attack or whatever it's called >.<). Brushing herself off then darting forward, he gripped one of the Emolga's wings in a fierce Bite.

Pain surged through Emma's wing. "Get away from me!" she shrieked. The Emolga let loose a Thunderbolt, which was rather wild and inaccurate.

Birch had only to swiftly duck in order to dodge the attack. "Fine then," she smirked, and vanished into a different part of the dungeon.

Emma gave the Eevee a venomous glare before flying away, looking back to see that she had vanished. "Hmph, stupid fox."
