Dinner!

Jake entered the Mess Hall eager and desperate for some food to fill up the emptiness that was his stomach. "Darkshock! Can we have something to eat?" he called, expecting an answer in return. It was quite empty, with all the other Guild members still on missions or in training.

Nate followed in, still trying to find a way to get rid of the black gummi. He hadn't actually been in the mess hall a lot before, but Jake seemed to know what he was doing.

"Ah so the bottomless pit returns? You're in luck there's a new dish I've been wanting to try," Darkshock said stepping out from the food storage.

"I am NOT a bottomless pit!" Jake protested rather indignantly, putting his white paws to his hips and looking away. Moving on, he sat down on a chair. "So what is this new dish you're working on?" he asked, eager to try it out. He laid his head on the table, awaiting supper to fill his belly.

Nate had to try not to laugh at the bottomless pit comment. "How did you get the nickname 'Bottomless Pit'?" he asked Jake, wondering how much he ate to earn that name. He moved to find a seat next to Jake and sat down next to him. "Yeah, what's the new dish?" he asked, almost forgetting that he still had the black gummi.

"I ate so much food it robbed the Guild of almost all the food stores." Jake replied, narrowing his eyes to try and brush away the memory. "Long story short." He glanced at the Black Gummi, wondering when Nate would eat it. "You gonna eat that?" he asked, pointing to the ebony candy.

Darkshock chuckled, "You remember that exploration I, Seatha, and Shaman went on recently?" he asked.

"No, I don't believe I've heard about it." Jake replied, still awaiting his supper. "And which team is Shaman on, exactly?" he asked, raising an eyebrow, if he even had one. Noticing he still carried his Treasure Bag, the Oshawott allowed it to slump and fall onto the ground next to his chair.

Nate let out a nervous laugh when Jake asked him about the gummi, and lamely responded "Yeah! But we should eat dinner first!" Then he turned to Darkshock. "No, I didn't. Where did you go?" he asked, curious about the exploration.

"Mount Frostmeer, I can't really give out any details, but we found something that's rumored to make any dish extremely tasty and improve the Pokémon who eats it. So you two are going to see if it is true," Darkshock said going back into the storage.

"So...we're your test animals?" Jake asked. After Nate answered him the Oshawott already guessed the reason, but didn't want to say so, as he wanted to play along with it. He sharpened his scalchop while waiting with his aqua blue gemstone from the Treasure Bag.

"On mount Frostmeer?" Nate asked, remembering his and Jake's recent mission there. And something that will make any dish extremely tasty? he thought to himself, wondering what it could be. He watched the oshawott sharpen his shell and sat there, thinking.

Darkshock came back out carrying to bowls a light blue ice cream with steam coming off of it. "Eat up," he said smiling.

Jake looked up from his newly sharpened scalchop, he saw a bowl of light blue ice cream placed in front of him. Faint trails of steam swirled and twined from it. Smiling, he put his shell back onto his belly, and picked up his spoon. Soon, he was gobbling up the ice cream like a maniac. "Mm..." the sweet taste flowed into his mouth, as well as a minty aroma wafting into his orange nose. The warmth in the ice cream enhanced the taste, and also made it more creamy. He was finished in matter of seconds and said, "So, is there anymore? It's awesome." The Oshawott's mouth creased into a grin.

Nate looked at the bowl of steaming ice-cream, trying to figure out how it was possible. After seeing Jake dig into his, he just started eating his. It was amazing, it was like ice-cream, but also warm and creamy. Having an idea, Nate took the black gummi and threw it into his mouth, followed by some more of the bluish ice-cream. He could barely taste the black gummi, and could only taste the amazing ice-cream flavor. "Darkshock, that was amazing! What did you put in it?" he asked.

Darkshock smirked, "Nope, not saying. It's my secret ingredient now that I know it tastes good to Pokémon, I'll be testing it our on other dishes too, so look forward to nice snacks like this ice cream every once in awhile," he said smiling as he shut the food storage's door and began locking it. "Oh, I also added some golden seeds to the ice cream, so if they still work your levels should have increased some," he said as he finished locking the door.

"Really?" Jake asked, not noticing a change at all. Perhaps the tiring day had blocked the boost of power from showing itself. "I don't feel anything." he looked at Nate, and also saw that he had ate the gummi with the ice cream. He smiled, knowing that he would do the same.

"Aww, that's no fun." Nate said to Darkshock, slightly dissapointed about not knowing the ingrediant. "Neither do I." he also responded to Jake's glance, also not feeling any more powerfull yet, and smirking now that the black gummi was out of the way. Maybe I'm just tired. he thought, sitting at the table.

Darkshock shrugged, "I said IF it still works, some things work differently or not at all when cooked, frozen, ground, etc. etc." he said leaving the mess hall.

"Oh. That does make sense." Nate said as Darkshock left. He turned to Jake, and said "We should probably get going." he yawned, just noticing how tired he was, and walked out of the room with Jake following him.

ooc: I have permission to have Jake follow him out of the room. So I'm not god-modding or powerplaying.

Katana was walking past, searching for Jake and Nate when she saw them emerge from the Mess Hall. She grinned and walked over to them. "I've been looking for you two everywhere!"

Nate laughed. "Sorry, we went to get something to eat at the mess hall." he said. "So what's up?" he asked, wondering if she was officially on the team now.

"Nothing much." she smiled, "Just I found a pretty interesting job on the bulletin boards."

"Really?" Nate asked, curious about the job. "What is it?" he asked, starting to feel less tired than he had been before. A new job would be interesting.

"Apparantly, theres an outlaw running around in Shadowhue Forest. No one knows what pokemon he is, but everyone calls him 'Treecreeper'. I thought maybe we could check it out?"
The scyther grinned and slashed the two blades that she had instead of hands, together, creating a metallic clang.
