Training in the Water element

Akarui sat in the training area, his tail tip flicking irritably. His student was late. Very late.

Kanari fluttered in with an apologetic look on her face. "Im soo sorry im late for my first lesson!!"
She sighed, "I just got caught up in what mother wanted me to do and completely forgot!"

"Very well" he sighed "Now, have you practiced other elements before? Or do we need to teach you what to do first?"

Kanari shook her head. "I only know the element natural to me. Light."

"Very well. Water element training is very alike to Ice element training. This is why its better to have learned water before Ice because you will find it easier to master" the tom started right away. "Now i need you to feel the sloshing of the ocean. Imagine the ways you and the water are alike. Try to become one" he suggested "It will feel like a surge of power that will last several seconds." he instructed

Kanari nodded. She closed her eyes and began to imagine herself stood in the sea, up to her belly fur. She imagined the sound of the crashing waves as they soaked her skin. She then began to move on, to think of how much alike she was to the water. The Heiwana heir grinned as she thought about how wild and carefree the waves seemed, and how wild and carefree sh was... or at least her mother described her as that.
After a few minutes of this, she began to imagine herself riding the waves. XD

Akarui waited quietly and patiently for the heir to feel the surge, his tail wrapped around his paws

Kanari twitched, and she almost seemed to shiver as she felt a strange power, surge through her body. She opened her eyes and smiled at Akarui.

"Very good" the water teacher purred. "Now let us start the real training" a spark lit up in the tom's eyes

Kanari grinned, "Awesome!! What are we gonna do first!?"

"First lets start with a defensive move" he meowed after a bit of thought "Its rather easy so you'll be good i'm sure" he assured the DragonCat before him. "You must focus on the heart beat of the water. Do you understand what i mean by this? You must understand before we can go on any farther"

"I'm not sure I do...." she replied, giving Akarui a curious look.

Akarui nodded "I didnt expect you to. Well all things in nature have a life force. If you listen and grope around hard enough for them then the chance is that you can find them. This is like finding a heartbeat. So you need to find the heart beat of the water before you can do this" The master of the water element meowed.

Kanari nodded and closed her eyes again. She began to search the world, broadening her mind.. searching.. for the heart beat.

Akarui waited for a moment, meowing quietly "search the water for the life that pulsates from it. You should be able to find its life source"

The water element teacher closed his own eyes and went about looking for the waters heartbeat himself. Hearing the rushing of a stream, he reached out for the water. Focusing intently he felt the water flow through the ground and, as if he was the water himself, he felt as if he was flowing with it. The waters life was all around him but he knew it wouldn't be this easy for the cat in training to find the life. He was a master at this element after all.

Kanari heard the soft gurgle of a stream and she looked towards it. In her mind.. she stepped into the rippling water, she felt it flowing past her paws. The Heiwana hei pricked her ears as she searched for the water's life. Kanari began to walk upstream, but as she did, she didnt feel any different.
Try to become one.
the words of her teacher rang in her ears and she swiftly changed course, padding downstream instead, and following the water as it flowed. As she walked, it almost felt as if she was being aided by the water, that the water was helping her journey...

Opening his eyes, Akarui watched the expressions on his students face.

Kanari let the water guide her... as she did, she seemed to feel the life growing stronger by the second. Her pale blue fur seemed to glow with an added hue as she felt as if she was part of the water, flowing along with it.... She opened her eyes slowly as she felt the waters life around her...
She felt fairly proud of herself.

"Very good" Akarui purred. "Now we can move forward. I want you to reach out and feel the life force. You must will it to protect you, to get rid of anything in your path. Do you wish for a demonstration?"

Kanari nodded, "Yes please..."

With a small nod Akarui obliged. a whirl of water came from the stream and positioned itself around him, her flickered his tail ever so slightly and the water whipped around to the timing of his tail tip. "Throw something at me"

Kanari blinked, but did as she was asked. She picked up a stone in her jaws, and threw it towards her mentor.

The water flashed out, knocking away the stone. "Do you see?" he asked, a flicker of amusement in his eyes

Kanari nodded and decided that she would try. She closed her eyes and relived herself finding the waters life. As she did she willed it to protect her... at first she tried asking it nicely.. but then she decided that asking wouldnt do anything...

(lol she asked nicely XD)

"Think fast" Akarui threw a tree branch at the she-dragon... thing.
