Hidden Ruins?

"What the...?" Zoe said, looking at what she had just found. Earlier the riolu had decided to go to the falls in Monochrome forest, and had gotten a little too close to the waterfall and stumbled in. She hadn't expected to find this though. There were ruins around the area behind the falls, and from what Zoe had known others didn't know about them yet. The ruins didn't seem too important, but they were just strange.

On the floor not far from zoe was the sleeping mass of another riolu this one was wearing a cloak that was pulled close to it's body it was none other than shaman taking his average afternoon nap. He had been taking his nap before on a tree branch that hung over the river that fell into a water fall but shaman had rolled in his sleep and rode the water fall down into the ruins and was now in them sleeping on the floor.

Izumi the shiny Absol jumped through the Falls and into the Monochrome Ruins, which she had heard about from a friend and her young student. She had heard that there were boxes and exclusive items to be found, but little did she know she was about to bump into a familiar face.

She immediately noticed two Riolu, nodding her head as a greeting to the one who was still standing, and the one who was curled up in his own cape. She knew she recognized that lump from somewhere.

"Shaman? Is that you? If you can hear me, wake up." Izumi stated.

Zoe hadn't looked too closely at the lump on the ground in front of her, but as she got a bit closer she could tell that it was another pokemon. Hearing something come into the falls, she turned around and saw that it was just an Absol. She nodded her head back to the Absol as a greeting, and walked over to the riolu, and debated what to do. In the end, she decided to give him a light nudge with her foot. "Hey, are you alive?" She asked bluntly.

Shaman snored loudly as Izumi tried to wake him up with her voice he seemed to be a heavy sleeper when it came to their chatter. But as Zoe's foot touched him Shaman flipped up pushing off the ground with his hands and brought his foot over to kick Zoe in the face but stopped just a few centimeters from his target. " Oh hey Izumi, long time no see ." He greeted not exactly warmly but not as cold as Zoe's greeting of almost a kick in the face. Speaking of which Shaman retracted his foot from Zoe's face and rolled his shoulder still stiff from sleeping.

"Yes it has been. I can see you're still getting plenty of sleep, though. How are you?" Izumi questioned. She glanced over to the female Riolu. She wasn't all too familiar with the Riolu's face because she hadn't seen her around the Swap-Shop she owned, but she still thought she vaguely remembered the face. "Good day to you, too. Are you part of the guild?" Izumi asked. Although usually a very quiet and stoic creature, Izumi found herself more and more willing to open up to other pokemon since opening her shop at the guild.

Zoe had quickly brought her arm up, slightly surprised by the 'greeting', going to punch the Riolu's chest but also stopped when he stopped. After listening to the other two, she brought her arm down and took a step back. "Yeah, I am." Zoe responded to the Absol, trusting her a bit more then Shaman, since he had almost kicked her in the head. "So what are you both doing here?" She asked the two.

Shaman gave a little grin at Izumi's sleeping comment it was more like he hadn't changed as he always slept for nearly the entire day. He spread his hands to get his cape to stop clinging to him as it had gained static eltricty against his fur which caused it to cling to him. He scratched the top of his head as the other riolu answered Izumi's question and asked one of her own. shaman blinked. " Well I was sleeping of course." He said rolling his eyes as if it had been obvious. He looked around him realizing finally that they were not in the shadow hue forest by the river like he had thought but instead behind the water fall and inside some ruins. " actually where is here?" Shaman asked.

"Monochrome Ruins."
A small voice came from the shadows. Reena wasn't used to talking to strangers but she had thought the cave was a safe place to hole up for a while after that whole ordeal with the outlaw stealing her precious necklace. The Eevee had gotten it back, but only just. The entire thing had drained her of every last drop of confidence she had attempted to gather to become part of an Exploration Team. She felt like such a coward, just hiding here like this.
But that's what I am.... she would always point out to herself.

"Yes. A friend of mine and her student ran into this place a little while ago when they were training and she told me about it. She also told me about how she had seen quite a few exclusive item boxes deeper int the cave, so I decided to have a look for myself." Izumi nodded. She turned around to face the little Eevee. "But, what caused you to come to a place such as this?" Izumi asked. This was probably the most talking Izumi had ever done in her life.

Zoe grinned a bit at Shaman, thinking he maybe had a little too much confidence. She hadn't expcted someone to answer, though, and saw the eevee hiding in the shadows, and listened to her and Izumi talk. Wait, she heard about it from other? Then...crud. Zoe thought, now knowing that they weren't the first to find the ruins. She continued to listen, but also glanced at Shaman every now and then to make sure he wasn't about to try to hit her again.

" Wait a minute." Shaman said looking to Izumi a glint now in his eye. " Did you say there was treasure here?" he asked now completely focused on the idea of rare items and nick knacks all around these ruins. The arrival of the Eevee had done realativly little for him, he guessed he was used to pokemon randomly dropping in on his conversations and nap times, example one this whole thing.

The Eevee listened to Izumi as she explained about the ruins. Reena didn't know too much about them herself, only the obvious name that she had deduced from the name of the waterfall that hid it from the world and the fact that these were ruins.
Her eyes flicked from one Pokemon to the other with a look of almost fear in them. Reena looked up at Izumi when she asked why she was here, but she couldn't answer. Not because she didn't know why she was here, but because she didn't have the confidence to speak again in front of these strangers.

Though she was finding it hard to accept, she was scared if everyone she came across. The outlaw who stole her necklace had been initially friendly with her and so she no longer knew who to trust.

Izumi blinked at Reena's silence, but decided not to hard-press her for more info. That would probably force her into silence.

"Yes, Shaman. These ruins have been untouched for who knows how long before my friend and her student stumbled into them. Who knows what's down here?" Izumi mused in response to Shaman's question.

Zoe looked over at Reena, curious about her silence. She noticed her look of fear at the group, and sighed, rolling her eyes a bit. "Well, I guess we won't find out until we have a look around now, will we?" Zoe responded to Izumi's musings, and started to walk deeper into the ruins, deciding to go first instead of waiting for everyone else to catch up then decide to walk a bit.

Excitment buzzed threw Shaman's body which was becoming more and more obvious as he started bouncing up and down on his heels. As soon as Zoe decided to go out and search the ruins Shaman saw it as a " okay shaman go right on ahead and search the ruins!" He dashed in her general direction landed lightly on her shoulder and jumped ahead of her still blazing into the ruins
