Sand walked he had not slept last night not sleeping was becoming a habit and it wasn't a pleasent one. Sand looked up he normally stared at his feet whenever he traveled his cloak normally parted the sand from his feet as he walked and it seemed to be a sign that the desert was not completely unkind or unfair. He looked at Last Mountain making sure he was still making progress thought he highly doubted he was. He was at the to of a sand dune he noticed looking down. He took a step and his robe parted the sand he stopped "hmmmm" He started to think.

"Congratulations." she replied sarcastically as she removed her hand from above her eyes. She then began to wander down the dune, heading towards the cactus. There were a few of them in the surrounding area, which was great because it meant they could stock up on water.

Sand frowned he liked looking on the bright side sometimes and he was very excitable he could see how this was gonna be a problem in the presence of this lady. Sand took a step off the dune and started to sand surf down. He passed Aerie easily and made it to the catus just as the wind stopped pushing him on. Sand looked at the catus there was water within it yes but there was also water below here too he couldn't decide if he wanted to dig. His father had told him these plants got water from their long roots that went so deep they reached great bodies of water that used to exist across the planet. Sand had two dreams in this desert land one was to get to Last Mountain the other was to see the waters that laid below what had his dad called them. " Oceans?" He wondered aloud.
