Pika Pecha Sticky Paws

Vanilla snickered to herself as she ran through the forest with a grace only she had. Her tail swished back and forth and she moved through the bushes and trees. Her ears were picking up on a distant screech of a clearly irritated Pokemon. She smirked to herself, chocolate brown eyes twinkling with amusement. In her little pouch was a couple of Pecha berries she had just stolen from a group of Pidgey. This time she only had to sneak into their nesting area while they were busy searching for more food. The result was two sweet berries to nibble on later, after she got away of course.

Her paws made tracks in the grass as she weaved in between trees here and there. Eventually the squawks started to get louder. Mmm.. What to do, what to do. Think Vanilla. I could always make a distraction and leave another Pokemon to deal with the flock, but who? Vanilla thought as she followed a maze-like trail through the dense woods. Her destination was towards the area guild Pokemon normally explored in. And she had a plan in mind for any unsuspecting member wandering about.

Nate had gone into Pecha Forest to train. He ran through the area, exercising his paws as he ran. He had picked up a Penchant Berry while he was running, and put it in hit treasure bag. He decided that he had needed to get stronger, since his partner had just recovered from an incident, which was why he had gone out alone.
He suddenly heard some loud noises close by. Wondering what they were from, he ran off towards them. Running around the trees, he saw a grey blur run through the trees, and accidentally ran into it. He fell down, and rubbed his head with his paw. "Sorry about that." He said, not having seen who the pokemon was yet.

Vanilla stumbled back letting out a soft 'oomph' sound in the process. She rubbed her face, feel a bit of pain on her muzzle as she had charged headfirst into him. All of a sudden she noticed who the Pokemon was and felt her fur fluffy slightly with anxiety. He would look up and notice exactly who she was, and of course she recognized the Pika she had easily stolen from.

She thought quickly, taking the Berries out of her sack and throwing them at the Pikachu. Her next move was to throw the sack in his face as well. "Don't mention it." She said with a grin at the temporarily blinded Pikachu. Even if it was for a few seconds, it gave her time to dash away from the most likely angry Explorer. The cawing was progressively getting louder. Soon about a dozen Pidgey would be making their way down towards the area Vanilla had just been at.

Nate felt the berries hit him, and before he could say anything, a sack also hit him. He opened his eyes and got up, picking up the berries and the sack they had been in. "Hey wait! You dropped this!" He yelled, as soon as he noticed she was running away. He started to run after her, and heard the noises get louder. Maybe those pokemon making the noises are going after her. He thought. He assumed that the pokemon had been a girl, due to her voice. He kept running, trying to find her.

Vanilla sighed as she heard the Pikachu chasing after her. Surprisingly, he wasn't far behind. Without the sack slowing her down she was slightly faster. She scaled up a tree instead of continuing to run. This trick usually threw off any pursuers, although she couldn't say the same for the birds that were getting closer. Vanilla huddled on one of the branches and shrank down against it to make herself less visible.

"Geeee! Little rat thing! Stealing our food!" A Pidgeotto dropped to the ground in front of Nate with a swoop of its wings. The grass around it moved slightly from the buffet of wind. It had a proud stance, a yellow-gold piece of cloth was wrapped nearly around it's neck and it glared at the Pikachu in front of it with beady eyes. "Footprints, I see them! Krawww! You steal from my flock?! I will shred you to pieces for the attempt little mouse! Eetto does not take kindly to thieves!" The bird let out a shrill cry that echoed through the forest.

Vanilla's eyes widened as eight Pidgey appeared. The surrounded the Pikachu and she shrunk down further onto the branch, not wanting to be seen. The Pidgeys let out caws of anger and waited for an order from the obvious leader of the group. She recognized their leader, a haughty male Pidgeotto named Eetto who ruled his territory with iron claws. It wasn't that he was necessarily evil, he was just incredibly aggressive about others treading on his territory unattended.

"Krawwack! Destroy the thief!" Eetto said and rose to the air with a beat of his wings. Two of the Pidgey's dived down to attack the Pikachu below. The rest were chanting something in a steady rhythm. "Thief, thief, thief."

Vanilla swallowed and watched on, wondering if she should even get involved. Her thoughts were cut short as she felt the tree shake slightly when the Pidgeotto landed on a branch above her.

Nate stopped quickly as the pidgeotto landed infront of him. He backed up slightly, and realized that eight pidgy had surrounded him. He was trying to think of a way out, and noticed the pidgeotto talking about a thief. In a couple of seconds, Nate put everything together. He had run into a thief, who was running from the pidgy. She gave him the stolen berries, and ran. Before Nate could say anything, two of the pidgeys swooped down to attack him. He rolled oh of the way of the first one, and dove to the side, just avoiding the second one. He quickly got back up, and yelled "I didn't steal your berries! Someone set me up!" He doubted they would believe him, and he charged up some electricity.

Vanilla had to hold in a small laugh. Nate had put everything together surprisingly fast, she'd give him that. Although she was surprised he was even trying to reason with Eetto and his flock. The birds were notorious for their "tear to shreds, ask questions later" method. Her tail flicked slightly as she noticed the lovely golden cloth the Pidgeotto was wearing. The fairly large bird, at least compared to her, might not notice if she snatched it while he was distracted.

Help the Pikachu.. Or take the scarf. I could do both.. Maybe. Vanilla pondered over her choices, weighing each for a few moments. In the end she decided on getting Eetto's attention. "Ahem, pardon good sir." Vanilla said and climbed up the tree until she sat at a safe distance from the bird. "I'd have to say, the Pikachu isn't lying. You see, I saw a blur of white fur run off after throwing some berries at him. They looked very suspicious. An-" She was cut short by a buffet of wind that sent her flying off the tree branch. She barely caught one of the smaller branches with cracked dangerously.

"Kreee! Little fuzzball! You doubt my judgement on a thief!" Eetto screeched. He was offended by the fact any Pokemon would even doubt his judgement on the topic. His eyes narrowed as he brought his wings up and swooped a gust of air at the Minccino. She dug her very tiny claws into the branch as she felt the strong wind blowing her away. Finally she let go and fell to the ground with an 'oomph'. The wind was knocked out of her, though thankfully the fall hadn't been enough to injure her. "Foolish little mouse thing! I will rip you to shreds as well! Defending a thief, you are a thief too!" The bird let out another shrill screech as two Pidgeys swooped down at Vanilla as well.

Vanilla barely managed to get to her paws as a Pidgey slammed into her with a swift Quick Attack. The attack sent her spinning again and she staggered. The wind was still knocked out of her, but she managed to avoid the second attack. Gritting her teeth, Vanilla forced herself to calm down. She remembered Oswald's words on focusing and meditating for a few brief moments. Although she wasn't a fighting type, nor did she know the move, she could still calm herself down and clear her mind.

Nate heard the screeches from the pidgeotto, and saw a grey pokemon fallout of a nearby tree. He looked at her, and he suddenly felt a deja vu moment, as he realized who the pokemon was. It was Vanilla, the minccino who mugged and ambushed him a little while ago. He heard the pidgeotto, Eetto, say something about defending a thief. He realized she might have been helping him, and despite his better judgment he used a thundershock attack on one of the pidgeys attacking Vanilla. "You owe me." He muttered to himself.

Vanilla had finally focused herself enough to catch her breath after being winded for a brief moment. She felt the electricity rush past her and hit a Pidgey, which fell to the ground. Even if it was a very effective attack, it had dropped faster than she expected. I guess Eetto really is all talk with his flock apparently... Vanilla thought and sucked in her breath. She rolled up her ears and let out an Echoed Voice at the Pidgey that swooped around to attack again. The bird, disoriented by the high pitched attacked, fell onto the ground. It slid across the ground for a few seconds, but made a recovery after a few brief moments. It let out a squawk and flew off from the battle. Vanilla tilted her head. This Pidgey was quick to flee from battle.

Eetto stomped his claw on the branch, tearing into it with his sharp claws. The Pidgeotto spread out his wings and let out a cry of annoyance. "Crawwww! Geeoo! Destroy them! Leave nothing! Not even fur! Tear them apart! Or I'll tear you apart after I'm finish with them!" He screeched at the flock. The two Pidgey from before attacked Nate with strong gusts of wind. Their little wings beating at a fast pace to keep up the attack.

Vanilla sucked in her breath yet again, repeating the process and let out another Echoed Voice. This one was slightly stronger, and hit both birds. They squawked from the pain and were disoriented for a few brief moments.

Nate smirked as another pidgey flew away. That leaves...I don't know, six of them left? Nate thought. He quickly looked up and noticed the pidgey sending gusts of wind at him. He tried to stay where he was, and sent another thundershock attack at one of the Pidgey, and tried to run out of the gust attack, but was sent back a couple feet. He got back up, and looked around to see where the next attacks would come from.

Vanilla inhaled her breath again, letting out another Echoed Voice at the second Pidgey Nate had missed. It was struck by the attack, falling to the ground with a thud. Another one down... She thought to herself and barely avoided a swooping Peck attack from a second Pidgey. Vanilla retaliated with a Tail Slap, hitting it across the back. The Pidgey hit the ground with a thud. She smirked, something about easily conquering these Pidgey was kind of amusing.

"Geeeooo! Enough of this!" Eetto cried out and took to the air. He brought his wings together in a dramatic fashion and whipped them apart. The result was a Twister attack, the whirling winds tearing across the ground towards the duo. Vanilla's eyes clamped shut as she took the hit, cringing from the ripping winds that hit her. Eetto let out a cackle of triumph. He beat his wings to stay aloft in the air and readied himself for his next attack. "Kree! Attack flock! Attack with your leader! Use all your strength to take down them! They defy us! Dirty thieves!" He shouted as he focused on channeling his agility.

Nate saw Vanilla hit the pidgey he missed, and saw her take out another pidgey. Nate wondered how many more were left, he thought it might ge three. He also noticed that Vanilla was an efficient fighter, and wasn't sure whether to feel thankful or angry. He saw Eetto attack, and covered his face with his paws, and grunted as the stinging wind hit him. He looked back up after, and used another thundershock attack on the Pidgeotto.

Vanilla felt herself knocked off her feet as Eetto flew low. His speed was increased from using Agility and he swerved to avoid the electric attack. A cackle erupted from him. He started to glow a soft blue color, speeding up as he attempted to charge into Nate with a Brave Bird attack. "First thief first! Prepare for a brutal beating rat!" He screeched. His piercing bird cry called out for three Pidgey, which quickly dove down on Vanilla.

"Ack!" She said as one of them pecked her on the head. She gave it a Tail Slap to the face and it squawked in pain. Another dived in with a Quick Attack, but she retaliated with an Echoed Voice which blew the Pidgey backwards. It seemed disoriented enough. The final Pidgey began to build up sand to blind the Mincinno. "Erk.. This has to end!" She said and debated on what to do for a brief moment while shielding her eyes. A sudden idea came together in her head, but she'd need the help of the Pikachu ironically. "Hey, sparky! I need your help!"

Nate saw the Pidgeotto dive in to attack, and tried to run out of the way. He jumped, but was hit by some of the attack, but luckily not head on. He hit the ground, and rolled a little, but got back up, slightly hurt from the attacks. He heard Vanilla call for him. Sparky? Seriously? he thought, and wondered what she was planning. Reluctantly, he yelled over to her "What do you want?" He saw the Pidgey blinding her, and prepared a thundershock attack just in case it was needed.

Vanilla could tell her coat was going to be a little mucked up from the dusty attacked and she gritted her teeth. She turned to smack one of the Pidgey with a Tail Slap, but it dodged away with a small coo sound. "Listen up!" She said making a break from the trio and running towards Nate. "I need you to get ready for it to attack. But I'm going to make sure it attacks me. When it does, jump on it for a free ride! Got it? I'm not repeati-" She barely dodged a quick attack from one of the smaller, more agile birds. "Repeating myself!" She said and sucked in her breath to attack it with an Echoed Voice. The bird dodged out of the wave and Vanilla hissed under her breath in frustration.

Eetto let out a furious squawk of annoyance. He flashed his sharp talons. The attack, although it wasn't head on, had injured him a bit as well. His beady eyes were aflame with wrath. "Rats! THIEVES! STEALING FROM MY FLOCK WILL NOT GO UNPUNISHED! Prepare for the wrath of the TRUE flock!" Eetto screeched and let out another Twister attack at the duo.

Vanilla felt the ripping winds tear at her again. "Hah! That all you got! Come on down here and fight me face to face!" She said, baiting the Pidgeot on. He let out a predatory screech that pierced through the forest. The Pidgeys were getting further and further riled up at the anger of their leader, but merely watched as he dived down towards the duo.

Nate listened to Vanilla's plan, and thought about what she was saying. He started to yell at her that the plan was insane, but then was hit by the twister attack. He decided that her plan was better than nothing, and although he was hurt by the twister, he took advantage of it to get out of the way, so the pudgeotto would attack Van. Hsaw the pidgeotto dive down towards her, and when it got close enough he jumped on the pidgeotto's back.

The Pidgeotto let out a cry of anger. He sped up, trying to shake the Pikachu off his back as he twisted and turned through the nearby trees. "Geeoo! Foolish rat! I'll send you crashing to the ground!" He screeched as he did a spin in the air. His eyes narrowed as he sped up from his Agility attack and he continued to speed up. If Eetto was going down, so was Nate.

Vanilla battled with a few of the braver Pidgeys who swooped down to attack. Sucking in her breath, she let out an Echoed Voice attack at one. Another pecked her on the head and she retaliated with a Tail Slap hitting it in the torso. The bird let out a cry while the other who was hit with the sound based attack fell to the ground. "He' better shock that bird until it can't get back up." She said as she gritted her teeth when one of the other Pidgey swept up sand in her face.

Nate held on to the pidgeotto, somehow keeping his grip as it spun around. He kept using thundershocks, trying to get it to faint. As the pidgeotto kept getting faster, it became harder for Nate to hold on. He kept holding on though, and kept using thundershocks, and hoping the Pidgeotto would faint before he fell off.

The flock of Pidgey broke apart finally as Vanilla scattered them with an Echoed Voice. Although because of the sand, her aim wasn't exactly perfect. They fluttered about for a few brief moments then flew to the branches of nearby trees to escape her powerful attack. She smirked, but it quickly turned to a frown as she felt her eyes watering. She used her paws to rub out the sand, but only a little bit of it. Her vision was somewhat blurred, but she could still see the bird attempting to stay aloft.

Eetto fluttered through the air. The Pikachu had paralyzed him. He decided if he was going down, Nate would too. He flew towards the the oncoming branches he smirked. This time he kept his beak shut, leading the unsuspecting Pikachu to crash to the ground.

Nate stayed on Eetto, and noticed they were heading towards branches. Either that, or he was just seeing weirdly since the pidgeotto was going somewhat fast. Nate decided that's he had already paralyzed the bird, and he might be heading for danger, and used another electric shock attack, before jumping off of Eetto. He felt himself hit a couple of branches, and landed on the ground, rolling to try and minimize the damage. He looked around to see if he could see Vanilla or Eetto.

Eetto let out a violent cry as it crashed through the branches, disappearing for a moment. More crashes were heard, but it appeared, hopping awkwardly across the ground. It's left let was scratched up from the fall, but amazingly enough the hardy bird had recovered. Although its energy had been cut down by the electric shock from the Pikachu. Instead of boasting words it merely let out a Twister attack at the Pikachu searching for him and the Miccino. Eetto was breathing heavily, his chest rising and falling as he faced the Pikachu with a clear advantage against him. But he wasn't going to give up, even if it killed him.

Vanilla attacked Eetto with an Echoed Voice attack as he assaulted Nate with ripping winds. She was getting tired of battling this crazy flock, and decided it was time to end it. The Pidgeotto let out a cry of pain from the attack, staggering backwards, but managed to hold his ground. "Yeesh, he doesn't give up." Vanilla said and rubbed her eyes again with her paws.

Nate was sent back a couple of feet by the twister attack, but got back up. "Ok, this is getting really old, really fast." he said, and started to use a volt tackle attack, surrounding his body with electricity and running towards the pidgeotto.

Vanilla watched with interest as Nate charged in to attack the Pidgeotto. She had never seen an actual Volt Tackle from a Pikachu, and thus was somewhat fascinated. The electric sparks flying everywhere as he ran at an incredibly speed was quite the sight. She was snapped out of her trance when the fireworks esque scene ended with a bang. The electric attack struck Eetto. He let out a shriek of pain and fell to the ground with a mighty thud. His body twitched a few times from the electric shock, but he was clearly down for the count.

"Well then." Vanilla said walking over to the fainted bird. She took the golden colored scarf from around his neck with a smirk and admired the lovely material. Her brown eyes sparkled with pleasure at the new addition to her collection.

Nate had rammed into the pidgeotto, and was sent backwards by the recoil of his attack. He tumbled around on the ground, and got up, slightly weakened by the attack. He looked at the Pidgeotto, and saw that it was knocked out. He also saw Vanilla walk up to him and take his scarf. "So, you're just going to take his scarf? It makes sense, I guess, since you gave me the Pecha Berries." He said to her, standing a couple of feet away. Je wondered if he would let her go on her way or if he would try to aprehend her, since she was an outlaw.

Vanilla shrugged. "I don't see why you'd want it. It's just cloth anyways. I'm sure it's nothing a Guild member like yourself would be interested in." She said and wrapped it around her own neck. "I have to admit though, for a territorial bird brain, he has some great taste." Vanilla said with a smirk. She debated on what to do about Nate while adjusting the cloth into a bow. Twisting it around so the bow was behind her instead of in the front like a tie. "Anyways, you should get going before he gets back up." Not that his flock will come back. Not that I'm going to mention that or anything though...
