Chasing After A Mad Bunny

Jake stopped at the entrance of Shadowhue Forest. It gave off a foreboding and dark atmosphere. However, he was an explorer, so he had to stay fearless and bold. Yet, the last time they came here, the mission went completely of course, and they failed completely. He checked his Treasure Bag for the necessary items, and smiled in satisfaction. The Oshawott looked around and waited for his two friends to arrive.

Katana swiftly hopped down from one of the trees by the entrance to the dark forest. She had decided not to bring anything with her so had gone straight to wait for her teammates by the entrance. Kat had been rather foolish in a sense, by not bringing anything such as an Oran berry, but I guess that was just her way of doing things.
"What took ya so long?" laughed the Scyther, landing neatly behind Jake.

Nate came in running a bit behind Jake. He had taken a little longer than expected, and not being the absolute fastest pokemon around, he was slightly late. "Sorry for holding you up." He said to Katana and Jake.

IC: "Well, I had to prepare, otherwise this mission might go as badly as the last one." replied Jake calmly, showing the various items inside the Treasure Bag. Running right behind him was Nate panting. "No, you just came at the right time." the Oshawott reassured his friend. "Now, I suggest we go on." and with that, he walked further into the forest, not waiting for a reply.

The forest was deathly quiet, not even emitting the usual sounds of random pokemon doing their own business, as if the entrance of the forest had been deserted. Glaring red eyes stared down upon the group, but did nothing but observe for now. Vermillion wanted to see if they were even capable of standing on the same ground as her. With this in mind, Vermillion quietly bounced from tree to tree, aiming to reach the end of the forest before the group of explorers who were no doubt hunting after her.

Katana nodded, remembering their first mission as a team. She sighed at the memory before realizing that Jake had already started walking into the forest. She put the memory aside, deciding that she wouldn't let it bother her and followed him into the depths of the forest.

Nate nodded his head in agreement with Jake. "Yeah, ok." he said, and followed Jake into the forest with Katana. Nate had a nad feeling about the mission, but he wasn't sure whether it was because of paranoia or because of the last mission they had been on.

While walking, Jake heard a faint movement above, but when he looked, there was nothing. Was it simply his imagination? He turned and saw his teammates and made sure they were following him. Suddenly, a group of Cacturne; three of them, popped out of the bushes, looking very hostile. Then, they aimed a triple Pin Missile at the group of explorers. Jake jumped out of the way, just barely making it.

A loud whistling of wind approached the trio of Cacturnes, but they were much to busy firing their Pin Missiles to notice the boulder flying through the air towards them. With a dull boom, the rock crashed against them, bowling them over, but doing little in terms of actual damage due to their resistance to the rocks. But at the very least it had interrupted their assault.

"You picked the wrong day to mess with the explorer's guild!" Oswald called, jumping out from behind a bush and sprinting towards the cacturnes, planing to go on the offensive while they had been knocked down by his Rock Tomb.

Nate had seen Jake look back at him and Katana, and wasn't sure why. Without warning, he saw a flash of green as three cacturne jumped out into view. As the pin missles came in, Nate dove away from the attack, and landed on his feet. At the same time, he saw Oswald come in and attack. He recognized the Mienfoo as a guild pokemon, and launched a thundershock attack.

Jake saw as Oswald stopped the Cacturne with a Rock Tomb, and took this chance to launch an Air Slash at them. He swiped his scalchop in a horizontal line, sending a wave of razor-sharp wind towards his opponents. He recognized the Mienfoo as an ally, so he trusted him not to attack them. "Thanks for the help!" he called to the Mienfoo, very much grateful.

Katana easily dodged the Pin Missile by flying out of the way. She then hovered in the air, summoning wind into a ball on the tip of one of her scythes, she then seemingly threw the upwards before hitting it with her bladed forearm, propelling it towards the Cacturne but also splitting it into multiple blades of air rather than just one.
The Scyther was careful not to hit her teammates or Oswald with the volley of blades created by the split Air Slash move.

Oswald nodded, running into the foray of Cacurne's and the Air Slash that approached them. The mienfoo sprinted behind the trio of Cacturnes and, when they were hit by the Air Slash, he was able to strike two in the back with a Force Palm on each paw, launching two of the assailants against a nearby tree. However, Oswald was quickly taken by surprise as the third Cacturne whipped him across the side with a Vine Whip.

Nate ran around the otber two cacturne towards the third cacturne that was using a vine whip on Oswald, and used slam to slam into it, pushing it away a little bit. "You ok?" Nate asked Oswald, as he prepared for another attack.

Jake easily finished a weakened Cacturne with a forceful jet of water from his mouth, sending it crashing into the other Cacturne, knocking both of them out. "I may be just out of the hospital, but I'm still as good as ever!" he said proudly, patting his shell. Then, he noticed the last Cacturne whipping Oswald on the side with Vine Whip, but Nate slammed it back in time to prevent extra damage.

"I'm alright, it just stings a little," Oswald replied, touching the spot that the Cacturne had whipped and felt relieved when there wasn't any sign of bleeding anywhere on the wound. In retaliation, Oswald ran towards the Cacturne, crying out as he morphed his frustration into power, turning his stress into power as he attacked the Cacturne with a force palm and made it fall flat on it's back. The mienfoo then jumped back, wanting to stay at a safe range when the Cacturne would surely attempt to counter attack.

From it's lay down position, the Cacturne charged an Energy Ball, throwing it at the closest explorer. It then got back up onto its feet and prepared to fight again.

Nate edged forward to see if they had beaten the Cacturne, when it used an energy ball attack. Nate rolled to the side to dodge the attack, and got back up and used a thundershock attack on it.

Jake saw that the Cacturne were all knocked out, so he turned to the others, "Okay, now that that's over, shall we move on? We really need to find that Lopunny." he said, grinning, and checking that everyone was okay.

Oswald nodded, looking over the unconscious forms of the Cacturne before addressing the group, "Excuse me, you did take up Vermillion's Outlaw mission, yes? I was hoping that I could accompany you for the time being. I have personal reasons for finding her. Besides, with a fighting type on your side, it'll be much easier to apprehend her."

He needed to find Vermillion, his master and friend, and find out why she had succumbed to the violent behavior that was effecting all of the pokemon in these mystery dungeons, at least, the ones that weren't guild members. If she told them anything, then it would be a great help to both the guild, and the very world they live upon.

Nate looked over to Oswald as he spoke. "I don't see why not. Just as long as you make sure the personal reasons don't get in the way of the mission." he replied, thinking it might be a good idea. The only problem was if Oswald did let his reasons get in the way, it might be worse than if he just didn't go with them. "Well, I think we're ready to move forward." Nate said to Oswald, Katana and Jake.
