Pictures of large, gaping wounds sat clipped to a small stack of papers, reporting a number of attacks from an invisible menace within the area, but the thing about all of the wounds were that they were never fatal, and the victims would never bleed after the attack. Thomas sighed, hoping that he would've had some form of rest after his last case with the Dullahan, but it seemed like a vacation was beyond his reach here. The stack of papers caught fire, as if they had spontaneously combusted as Thomas dropped the now burning file into the trash bin.
He had reached his destination, the last location where the incident had occurred, and he cautiously looked around, trying to see if there were any spirits wandering around the area, at least, any that would be capable enough to cause such serious wounds. The assault had taken place right outside of a Scottish Pub, in the alleyway to the pubs left. Said alleyway was very spacious, and there were no lights what so ever, a perfect place for any miscreant to strike. Thomas kept a hand on the gun in his trench coat pocket, as he certainly didn't want to be the next victim of this case.

| Milly wasn't even able to let out a shout as strange paw grabbed onto her. The creature wasn't the most pleasant thing to look at. She thought he looked like something straight out of a nightmare. She stared at him with wide eyes, if she was human she would've been sweating from nervousness and shaking from the fear, but her ghost body allowed neither to happen. His claw that had just pressed against her throat made her want to retaliate and shoot him straight in the head. It left a hot feeling as if someone had pressed an iron against her throat for a brief moment.
His voice was a stomach turner, like a cartoon chipmunk gone wrong and she tried to turn her head away from him... Not that it did any good. Squirming won't do any good. His question was a confusing one. Chariot? What's he talking about? "I... Have no idea what you're talking about. Chariot? Your brother was just locked in the basement that's all." Milly said while trying to keep a calm voice. She knew there would be little chance of reasoning with this spirit. A loud sound caught her attention. She reacted by letting out an uh-oh. Thomas escaping could either be good or bad depending on how the weasel spirit reacted.

| "Liar! Why else would you be paired with him?! That man is no man of god, his soul is tainted, how else could he summon spirits?" The weasel hissed, pressing the tip of his scythe like claws harder against the young spirit girl's neck. He looked towards the man who had been pursuing his band of brothers, and couldn't help but gasp as the youngest of the three emerged, looking as anxious and scared as ever.
"W-what?! How did he get out?!" The weasel shrieked, barely having the time to blink as the priest, without even moving his head to look, pointed his gun in the duo's direction and fired.
The weasel vanished into a wisp of black smoke as the bullet shot through his head, not exactly killing the ghost, but warding it off for the time being.
Otoya spotted the young woman, and quickly scurried over to her, phasing through the wall and standing in front of her with a concerned look on his face, "Are you okay? Did he hurt you? I'm sorry if he did anything to-"
Thomas interrupted Otoya with a quick whistle, which silenced the weasel in an instant. The young priest then walked up to the window he had shot through, reloading with each step, and asked Milly, "So ghost girl, what was that weasel's mental state like? Do you think it can be talked to?"

| Milly ran her fingers along her neck. She didn't respond for a moment as she wondered how the crazy spirit had even left a mark on her. Can a spirit kill another? She thought. Milly had no idea how it really worked, she didn't seem to understand it. She knew her gun worked through concentrated energy, but was unsure of anything else about spirits and how they were physically affected by one another or others in face. She knew their behavior, that was obvious.... But the mark felt strange to her, she couldn't quite grasp what it was.
Finally she noticed the priest and his question. It came out in an odd tone. Almost like someone speaking to her while she was underwater. Milly barely registered the words and hovered still for a moment. Was she actually feeling fear that could make your mind go blank? She had naturally run before but this was different. She moved her hand away from her neck and looked at him with blank eyes for a few more moments. "He's...." Milly paused trying to think of a word. "Not... Stable. Crazy. Yes." She said after a few more moments of thinking. Whatever it was that had fogged up her mind at the moment would surely go away with some time, at least she hoped so.

| Otoya noticed the nasty mark on Milly's neck and floated up to her, gently placing his small paws on the wound as the two appendages glowed faintly with a light blue color. The mark faded away, as if it had not existed in the first place.
The young priest let out a "tsk", "That's a shame, that means we're going to have to exorcise him then. Of course we still need to fi-"
Thomas couldn't say more, as he was quickly interrupted by a massive paw slamming into him and sending him crashing through the weak wall of the kitchen. A stout, humongous weasel stomped his way through the kitchen, his humongous body dwarfing the priest with it's massive girth, his stone cold gaze turning to Milly as he raised a fist to try and punch her as well.

| Milly yanked out her gun, pulling the trigger after focusing some energy into the form of a bullet and shooting the burly ghost in the face. She bit her lip, unsure of what to do besides that. Milly wasn't exactly a ghost with combat capabilities. She figured, being the bigger of the two the weasel would be slower that her and she moved as fast she could towards Tom to make sure he was okay. | |
