A Mysterious.... Summat?

A jet black dragon soared through the air, her dark scales highly visible against the bright blue of the cloudless sky. She practiced a few maneuvers before gracefully swooping down and landing next to a pond on the South Island. She bowed her head to take a drink, curling her tail around her and furling her wings.

An odd twittering noise came from a set of bushes. The noise repeated as a tiny icy-blue dragon hatchling stumbled out of the undergrowth. She looked at the large black dragon with big eyes, blinking slowly.

Nightshade pricked her ears[ima call them that XD even though i'm not sure what they are] as she heard rustling coming from behind her. She glanced back and saw the young Aquarius. Nightshade tilted her head to one side, wondering what a young hatchling like this was doing away from its parents.

Instead of the usual timid, respectful response given by a hatchling, Saashi stuck her neck out and sniffed. " 'oo are you?" she inquired, one eyebrow raised.

"I'm Nightshade." she replied bluntly, flicking her tail as she turned to face the youngster. "Who are you?"

"Saashi" She contracted her neck back to it's original place once she was satisfied with her analyzation of the dragon. "What brings you here?"

The Flarius chuckled, "I don't think I need to give reasons to visit another island once in a while. Everyone likes a change of scenery." Her ears dropped back into their normal positions.

[I really wanna refer to her as a night fury but that defies half of your rp cherry XD]

"Hmph" There was a reason this young Aquarius was called Saashi. It was derived from the word 'sassy' "Well, wanna have some fun while your here? I still don't have my wings quite right but we could try to fly or something.."

"Sure." she shrugged, "I'm a pretty fast flier myself though."
The jet black Flarius chuckled and playfully hopped over to the younger Aquarius. She poked her, exclaiming, "You're it!" before spreading her vast wings and taking to the air again. She hovered above the pond whilst she waited for Saashi's reaction.

"Ohhh no i'm not!' The icy blue dragon growled, eyes flashing playfully. She wiggled her tail and lept into the sky, wobbling a bit at first but gradually gaining her balance. "You're going down!"

Nightshade laughed and easily evaded the younger dragon, her grace and speed aiding her excellent flying skills. "You sure about that?"

"Most certainly you big leathery chunk of meat!" Saashi stuck her forked tongue out, an odd feature of hers. She folded her wings in a bit and dove down in a speedy spiral.

Nightshade laughed and ducked underneath the surface. She used her powerful tail and leathery wings to propel herself through the water, escaping Saashi once more.
