Riverside

Tobi ended up by he same part of the river where he had stolen the carcass. He began to wonder if the white wolf were still there. His paws were already leading him in the direction, so why not? The strong scent filled his nostrils again it smelled fresh, so he guessed that she was still there. He le out a howl, the kind one would make to signal your presence.

Ammy, who was lounging in some nearby bushes, heard a familiar howl and jumped up. She strode from her place of rest in her normal relaxed way, putting one paw gracefully in front of another. She stopped and looked around, waiting for her guest to reveal themselves.

Tobi pricked his ears at the sound of a snapping twig. He stepped into view, guessin that it was Ammy."Hello." He varked in a neutral voice. He didn't exactly know why he wa visitin hr, but just went with it.

"Um, hi?" Ammy said, a little confused. She wasn't sure why Tobi was there, but she rolled with it. "What are you up to?" she asked.

"Well, I actually am not sure.." He scratched at the side of his head."Did you get hurt in the forest fire?" He questioned, changing the subject.

"Nothing short of some charred fur." she shrugged casually. "What about you? You must have some nasty bump from being hit over the head like that"

"Eh..Could be worse. I'm really a-okay." He barked. His tail was missing fur at the tip, the fur that had griwn there was singed off. And other than that and a head-ache he truly was okay.

"Well, that's nice to hear. It's good that the place didn't burn down, or we'd be in some seriously home trouble." she said, plopping herself down on the ground. " you can make yourself comfortable, you look sorta sick of standing" she said.

Tobi let out a sigh and lied down. He scratched at his fur again and spoke."So, I was wondering if you'd like to help me erm..pay you for that elk. I need someone to help."

Ammy was immediatly interested. "So, you want my help to kill an elk?" she asked. "Sure thing, it shouldent be too hard of a task between the two of us!"

Tobi nodded then led the way. He looked back to see if Ammy was following."Let's aim for a young, sick or elderly one." He suggested, crouching low as they neared a passing herd.

"Ok" she said, crouching in another place to hide. She waited patiently for an elk to wander away from the rest, staying completely still.

Tobi nodded with a flick of his right ear, indicating for Ammy to move to his right flank, covering that side of the herd. He was aiming for an elderly one that was lagging behind the herd.

Ammy creeped over to the place Tobi had indicated, then prepared to strike the elk down. She waited patiently and silently for a cue or a signal.

Tobi flicked his ears forward and lunged for the elk. He hoped that Ammy had joined.

Ammy sped forward at the exact moment Tobi's ear twitched at tremendous speed, teeth bared and claws tearing up the ground beneath her. Her ears were folded back in an aggressive fashion as she made a beeline strait for the elk.

The big muscular brute latched onto the elk's rump. He dug his claws ino its skin and bit down. The elder was wekened, but could still put up a fight. It bucked its hooves and twirled around in circles, trying to shake him off.

Ammy dove strait down away from his hooves, then jumped up and clawed his face, catching one of its eyeballs. "If I can blind it, it wont stand a chance!" she thought to herself.

The aging buck gave a mighty heave of his head in an attempt to shake her off. Though it was in vain, as Tobi soon clawed his way onto the elk's neck, cutting off its air. With Tobi's heavy weight added on, the buck topled over, flailing for a few more moments before eventualy dying. The end of the gurgling noises indicated that it was time to eat, though tTobi resisted. He would wait until Ammy dug in before he joined in on the meal.

Ammy acknowlaged the kind gesture withe a nod of her head, then began to eat. She happily began to eat, proud of what they had acomplished that day. Even though it was an old buck, it was still hard to do.

The brute waited patiently until the other had her fill. He then tore of chunks of meat and swallowed, gnawing on a bone once he finished his portion.

After Ammy decided that she had had enough, she wandered over to a spot and rolled over on the grassy ground and sleepily laid there on her back, tired and full of good food. She streched out her limbs and relaxed, happy to be doing absolutely nothing.
