The Leader's Day Out.

Melania soared far above the ground, streching her wings and enjoying the breeze. She was taking a well-deserved flight and was happy to be out and about, although her face barely showed it.

Cobalt Azura took of from somewherebeneat the trees and fluttered up to fly alongside Melania. Her long tail feathers splayed out beautifully behind her as she flew, the soft breeze ruffling the purple crest on her head.

Burst howled loudly a deep sound that resnoted from his throat. She would surely hear. Burst didn't want the leading going too far off someone could attack her but he wasn't as strong as her he had no right whatching over her but he did because no on was as strong as him surely?

Melania noticed the blue pheonix behind her, and she nodded twoards a loud howl she had heard. She was going to land there so she could find out what was going on, and she wanted the other pheonix to come with her. "Stay alert." She cautioned, and then she swooped down in a half-circle that evolved into a powerful nose-dive.

Cobalt nodded and dived downwards. She followed Melania, but with such grace and dexterity.

Burst squinted at the birds. Why are they coming here? he had just yelled to alert them of his presents. As he padded forward to get a better look at them he barrled rolled down the cliff. " WHAHHAHAHHAHH?"

Melania swooped gracefully down and caught the wolf, who she recognized as the loner of the pack. She perched herself on the edge of the cliff and let the wolf down. "That was very close." she said, not showing much emotion, but she acted somewhat worried. "We dont need any pack members getting hurt."

Cobalt cheerfully landed next to Melania after she rescued Burst. She flapped her wings a few times to make sure it was sturdy enough to hold the both of them, then furled her wings and began preening her ong tail feathers -a habit of hers.

" Thanks." Burst looked away and pouted he would have been fine without her help. "What are you doing anyways." He asked

"Well, I was out flying. That's about all. It's a clear day and their were quite a few nice updrafts." she looked over at Colbalt, acnologing her presence. "Good day, how are you?" she asked. Melania was very hard-hearted, but was kind to her pack members.

"I am well." replied Cobalt, dipping her head slightly to her pack leader.

" Well I thought I saw a human and wanted to alert you." He was furious on the inside. Why why would you fly where humans could snipe you right out of the sky.

"Humans are no match for a zenar no matter what dastardly weapons they decide to bring with them." replied Cobalt. There seemed to be a hint of doubt in her voice, but even she didnt realise it was there.

Melanie nodded. "And, even if they did pose a threat, we have powers that they don't, giving us an advantage. Also, don't forget I can make even the brightest day darker than the darkest dark even without powers. Even if they were to want to harm us, they wouldn't even be able to see past their corneas." she said, not in a gloating matter but in more of a manner that would help settle uneasy minds. She was always happier when her pack members were able to breath easier.

Cobalt grinned. She couldnt help but feel safe around the powerful leader.

" Okay if you have all that why are the human's still here?" this was burst's final line of defense in this argument

"Because humans are just as persistant as we are." replied Cobalt, "They just wont give up."

" So correct me if I am wrong but leader here just said she could beat them they why doesn't she?" Burst said with faked curiosity .

"Because there are many humans in the world.We could kill all of the ones here and there would be many more living elsewhere. The humans from everywhere else, would start to come here, and the cycle would start all over again."

"Perhaps all of us are correct in some way in this matter. And another thing, what would we do if we had no humans to fight? If Zenars waged a war against each other, like we wage this war with humans, everything would be torn to peices. Even the territory we call our own." she thought for second. "We could debate this for hours, and no one would win. Because, I think that perhaps all of these facts are individual parts of a great vicious cycle that will never let us out of it's grasp.... Unless we break its hand."

" I was just posing a question don't get all life debating on me." Burst backed off a little if the leader could think up all this so quick and responed then he had nothing to challenger her with at the moment.

Melania settled herself on the cliff, enjoying the slight breeze. "It certainly is a nice day." she said gazing calmly around the area.
"We had best not let our guard down though, because there are often humans out on days such as these." she narrowed her eyes to slits and glanced down the cliff to an abandoned human campsite. "It's rediculous how they think they own this place already." she growled quietly, but with full intensity.

Cobalt nodded sadly. "I don't understand why they have to invade everywhere. Why cant they just be satisfied with that they already have?"

Melania sighed, her irritation with the humans growing increasingly quickly. And not just in that particular moment, but just in general. She wanted to swoop down and vaporize the campsite, to completely erase it from the land. "Our whole world will be a complete mess if they are allowed to continue on as they do now. They can't even clean up after themselves." she growled.

The blue phoenix sighed, "It's such a shame that creatures with such advanced knowledge can be so mean and inconsiderate when it comes to what they don't understand."
