Alone and Wandering

The lithe, blue-scaled pokemon slithered through the bustling town. She tried not to stand out in the crowds. It wasnt hard because of the sheer amount of pokemon there were in the town square. She spotted a bench not far away and decided to rest there a while, whilst she gathered her thoughts.

Billy walked on by in the town. He had not been out in the day much because he really wasn't use to so many pokemon so he kept to the small crowds and such.

The Dragonair thought about her life... and how great it had been before. She wished that she could still have that life, but she knew it was impossible. All she could do was dwell on the memories that were so precious to her. She sighed and looked up at the darkening sky. It looked like it was going to rain, even though the sun was still shining brightly.

Billy walked some more and tripped over a snake like creature." What in tarnashin." Billy flipped over in mid air and landed on his back.

Cobalt's tail swiftly recoiled from where she had left it draping down from the bench. "Careful..." she said quietly, re-positioning her tail so that it was behind her instead.

" Wow you got one strong tail miss." Billy came up and put his hat back on." And your quiet a charmer if I do say so myself."

"You dont even know me...." she replied, her voice almost inaudiable.

" Sorry miss but I didn't catch that." Billy was really bad at hearing voices everything else he was fine with but voices he was hard at hearing for some odd ball reason.

"Nothing..." she shook her head as she said the word. "Looks like its going to rain..."

Billy looked up. " Yey you should go somewhere inside little lady. My house is right over around the corner you could stay there till the rain lets up." Billy had probably hurt her tail so he needed to make up for it.

"I'm fine here..." she replied, in her quiet but gentle voice, "If anything, the rain soothes my soul..." She flicked the tip of her tail as she continues to gaze at the now cloudy sky.

" Well miss I am kinda jealous I must say." Billy had always wanted to feel the rain. But sadly he would be in trouble without the hat. his fire would start to go down. It could never go out but going down hurt just as much.

The Dragonair blinked as she turned and realised what the Infernape meant. "Oh.. of course, you're a fire type... My apologies....." She sounded sincere, but the way she said it made her seem kind of.. distant.

" No need. But I do wish.." Billy slowly moved his hat not fast just a moment at a time and started to try for the rain.

A few tiny droplets of rain began to fall from the sky and Cobalt closed her eyes and just let them land on her sapphire blue scales. She could easily have changed the weather to make it sunny again if she wanted to, but the calming pitter-patter of the raindrops always made her feel better about everything.

Billy felt the drops as they stung. he frowned and put his hat back to it's better spot and looked at the pokemon. " May I ask your name miss?"

"Cobalt..." she replied quietly, opening her eyes slightly to glance at the Infernape.

Billy looked at the sky longingly. " What does it feel like?" Billy wondered out loud.

"The rain? It feels.. cool and soothing. The water seeps into my scales... but gives me a delightful refreshed feeling..."
She watched as the many pokemon in the square gathered under shelters, or in buildings to wait for the rain to subside.

Billy grunted from the drops. " I want to feel it just once without the pain." Billy's hat flew off in a breeze and he hissed in pain as the water sizzled on his flame. He ran after the hat chasing it wildly.

The Dragonair couldnt help but chuckle as she watched the Infernape chase after the hat. It kept getting caught up in the wind.

Billy cursed under his breath and leaped up for the hat. He grabbed t and brought in on his head. " I just don't feel right without it."

Cobalt turned her attention back to the rain. She thought about how easily she could just go up there and hide in the clouds, with her blue orb's light to guide her.

" Little la I mean Cobalt my name's Billy Bronze. But you can call me billy."Billy looked at her she was looking just as longingly at the sky as he had.

She nodded absentmindedly to Billy's introduction, then decided that alot of other pokemon probably wanted to carry on with their jobs and errands... She discharged some of the energy from her body, using the crystal-like orb under her neck. The energy seemed to somehow change the weather. The rain eased off and the clouds cleared....
