Survival

Do'Zamell sat in the small cave, sheltered from the heavy rain that plagued the area. A small fire was on the floor, but it was rendered nearly useless because the wind kept if from becoming larger. The rain outside was insane, and Do'Za could have sworn that he saw a tree fall due to the wind. He sighed; he was lucky he had found this place at all. His fur was wet, and it was very uncomfortable. He absentmindedly reached into his sack and took out the Orb of Ius.
"What is this?" He looked at the olive ball curiously. "Why is this so... troublesome for me?" He sighed. Do'Za would have to look up "Ius" when he found a library. If he lived that long. Another sigh, and Do'Za returned the orb into his bag. He laid down on the stone floor and tried to get some sleep, but the storm made sure that he couldn't.

Through the rain and thick forest outside footsteps and clopping of hooves could be faintly heard. They grew louder and closer, to the point of where voices could be made out, but no words.
